Funny you mention that. I know I’m on your channel always talking about my TT-02R clone but really it’s the one car that I have almost EVERY hop-up on that car except maybe the TRF big bore dampers.
What’s ironic is how it was a standard TT-02 and well… it got out of hand. In truth, I spent WAAAY more on it than if I had started with a genuine R but that’s RC-ing for you! Lol
Anyway, I hope in the future we get to see a running video to see just how much the hop-ups improved the chassis. I know in my case, the full steering upgrade kit made my car much more sharper.
    Until then mate, take care.

I haven't started building my TD4...heck, I haven't even received it yet (should be delivered on Monday)...but, I can say this - you now have all the 'Hop-Ups' I've either already received, have enroute, or will be ordering (once back in stock), except one. You are still missing one 'Hop-Up...and, it's even better than the aluminum diff nut. What are you missing? Gear diffs...specifically, the Steel Gear Diff Units (54471), Gear Diff Shim Set (54589), and (optional) Aluminum Gear Diff Covers (54602). Get those, and THEN you'll have a "fully Hopped-Up" TD4. 🤙🏼

Yeah, I’ve had some torquing issues with my TT-02 before and most recently after I installed a hard coated 27T pinion, one of Tamiya’s newest.
Put some blue Loctite on the nuts and torque them up as you did previously. It shouldn’t back off but if it does, it may be worthwhile to inspect the entire driveline for any vibration or binding.
Anyway, I hope you get it all running again soon. That still sucks it happened though Loctite on nuts and bolts definitely helps.

In my opinion, I agree that Tamiya goofed on that. However, I think they should’ve made the graphics with a high-vis yellow instead of what they did. I think if they’d done that, perhaps the car would’ve gotten better acclaim within the RC community.
