Love it Glenn, i agree it is a looker. I gave mine a run on the track indoors and was great to see going around the track 😎 sadly she had to go 😭 great to see the RC elf gifted you an awsome build 👍
Nice one Glenn. I rebuilt an OG Wild One, custom paint and body (Which is the usual for me :) ) A few hop ups and loved the way it rooster tailed on the beach.
I have one of these ready to build, and it’s probably going to be done on a cold winter evening when I can’t be bothered to go out. Looking forward to it as it’s the first RC kit I’ve purchased in 30+ years.
Love it Glen.. the wild one for me was a stunning thing.. scale perfect and a true reflection of the dune buggies.. the blockheads livery adds a load more appeal for me.. fantastic👍👍👍
Good run through and I will be getting this as soon as I can as I want to get my first 2WD buggy! Incidentally I have seen news that Tamiya are re-releasing the Hot Shot 2 original with the black livery!
Block head doesn't mean anything to me, so I'm not a fan generally, but it does suit the Wild One for sure. On the HS2 it's hideous. Would love a FAV tribute version of the wild one
I love the Wild One. It's my favourite 2WD buggy bcs it's so close to real buggy's (yes, i know; they actually make and sell a 1:1 Wild One now). When i had mine build, my OCD kicked in. If you look close to the boxart, you'll see that the sides of the hump on the the front are white too. The decal doesn't provide that, so i wiped the blue off of the hump and painted it white.😆 Tamiya is really consistent in making their paint because even after touching up the blue you can't even see it was touched up.
@@buildrestorecustomise2060 It was worth the effort. Also, if i on the back end (towards the driver) you got that little seperate piece of white decal. I would never get that good looking. Now it's all one smooth stripe.
Love it Glenn I ordered one when they first came out as I wanted a wild one and thought this looked amazing. Still yet to put it together as time is short. Thanks for sharing best wishes
I was going to get back into the hobby after 30 years away, I planned to buy a frog as that’s the last car I had. But, this car is so scale looking, I’m all in for the wild one.
Love it Glenn. Just took delivery of a RR Sand Scorcher. Already have the FAV but only because the Wild One wasn’t available at the time. Wild One is next on my list. Love them.
I have one of these on the way, loveley looking buggy with the blockhead scheme. I hope to run it but knowing me lateley it'll go on The shelf on display with 5 other unrun cars. Next summer maybe I'll get them all out
I enjoyed building mine too. I think this is not a very good car because it is old school. If you want to race this car it just will not work. However, if want an older car that looks great and is fun to build this would be a good choice. Thoughts?
I have the standard wild one to biild and looking forward to it,dont like the number plates on this version i would leave them off. When are you building the novafox as i think a lot of us want to see it on your channel.
I’ve got one of these coming from brice at Jack o trades ..
god bless our friend the RC ELF!!

What a great looking buggy. Love it.
I love my Wild One. Looks awesome, drives a lot better than it should.
Get some blue wheel nuts Glenn😉 looking awesome my friend and love the spots with decals! Fantastic buggy!
The Wild One is my all time favourite. I am still sitting on the BH kit lol. I was one of the first to get one and just never built it.

Great looking build. I still have mine to build! Hopefully get around to it soon
I do like the Wild One, and the Blockhead version looks fantastic!!
Awesome 👌
I am in the same boat. Love the Wild One, love the Block head edition, hate the HS2 version. Lol
Haha yeah but now with the Sabre coming out we might actually get a re re HS2 🤔

love the scale looks of the Tamiya buggies of this era

I did exactly the same thing with mine, I just didn’t think it would look right without it!👍

Nice one..
Def blockhead version of the wild one is the best in my opinion-
RC ELF Awesome!
I’d like to see the the BBX in a Blockhead design with a silver frame and camel yellow body shell
The Super Sabre is being released next month Glenn!
Haha yeah sorry this video was made before that news broke 😅
But I now have one pre ordered 😅
What do you use for the white letters?? I built mine recently but them white letters really pop...Great buggy glen!
I use a Shapie ultra fine tip oil based pen 😅👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends thank you !!

Believe it or not hotshot 2 has a different shade of blue.
Yep. PS-3 for the Wild One and PS-30 for the hotshot II.

Yeah definitely building it over winter 🥶
You are aware of the super saber is back?
Yeah I have it on pre order 😅
Made this video before that news broke 😅
I couldn’t ever build a car with plastic bushes. Even if I was giving it to someone I would still have to fit bearings.
"...because it's not a Hotshot II." ➡Exactly.
The Super Sabre is on its way mate, Tamiya have already announced the beast.
Haha yeah I have it on pre order now 😅
