This video is so amazing. I'm getting super pumped about Rhinebeck seeing this. I've never been and I can't wait to check out everyone's sweaters!! I hope you'll be doing another one of these videos. It's so great to hear everyone's stories!
OMGoodness! I can't take my eyes off the screen (had to pause it to type), because there are so many amazing and inspirational knits. Thought I'd work on my other stuff while listening and occasionally glancing, but I just can't. I have to see them all!
This is like the best thing ever!! Love all the different people showing off the sweater they proudly made, in a place they know knitting is appreciated. I work in a LYS and I always compliment people on their nice knitted garments. Love all the creativity!
Kristy...this is the 3rd time that I have watched this video....I just LOVE it...Please do it again next year for those of us who can't attend....I adore all of your interviews and videos...keep up the great work
This video was beyond excellent!! I enjoyed it so much. Although i was at Rhinebeck, I didn't get that type of view of all of the luscious knitwear! Thank you.
Kristy, you are FABULOUS! I enjoyed this so much. You made every featured item and Maker feel just as thrilling and special as the next. Amazing. Thank you!
What an awesome video! I loved seeing all the sweaters hearing all about them from the knitter. How cool is that. I want to start a Rhinebeck sweater right now! It would probably take me a whole year. Thank you for taking the time. You are so special.
so I finally broke down and watched this video...and what I was afraid would happen, happened. my favourites/queue grew by about a dozen sweaters. such amazing sweaters!
I love this video! You've managed to capture all the excitement, joy, and fun of Rhinebeck and the Rhinebeck knits! I've never been, and wasn't able to go this year, but until I get to go, I feel so privileged I can live through the excitement from the comfort of my home thanks to your excellent video! And you have so many cameos from podcasters, yarn dyers, people in the industry, and even some friends of mine! And I've gotten so many great ideas for all the things I want on my needles!
I absolutely loved this!! I loved hearing about everyone's garments and their stories. Thanks so much for putting this together! I wish I had run into you. Maybe next year!
I'v never been and I am so happy this festival is in NY! I live in NY and it's only four hours away from where I live. I will deff be there this year!!!
Oh I enjoyed this so much!!! I even spotted myself in your video!! Next year I have to stop to chat. You did such an amazing job. I can't stop smiling after watching this!!!!!
I just watched this video for the first time, it's SO FUN!! I have no idea if or when I'll get to go to Rhinebeck so it's awesome to live vicariously. I hope you make another video this year!
This is fabulous, thank you so much for putting this together! I'm loving all the creativity! All these Rhinebeck videos showing up just makes me even more hopeful that I can make it work in my schedule next year!
The bulky sweater @ 1:04 is fantastic! I couldn't quite get the name of the pattern. Did she say 'Hers Sweater?' Also, the vendor afterward where you bought those beautiful golden and pink skeins. Who was the vendor? I can't believe I missed that!
1:04 she is talking about the CAP-SLEEVE Lattice top....the one where she turned a cowl into a dress? That is Paula of White Barn Farm. She doesn't have enough stock to have her own booth, so she was selling with the Ulster County spinners. There is a 3 part interview of her here on the channel, she has a brick and mortar AWESOME yarn store and also online website: whitebarnsheepandwool.com/
I stated following you because i was looking for a way to fit 3 kids in one room and one of your videos popped up and I've been watching your beautiful family grow. I don't knit (yet) but I'm going to start because of your videos.
+kristyglassknits just found you today and have started going back, will definitely be watching from now on - I like your vibe- without being creepy about it I could see us hanging out irl
At 11:15 you talk to a couple of people who said their sweaters were from a designer called Michelle Wong. I'm not familiar with that designer, but the sweaters are beautiful. I'm struggling to find her on Ravelry though. Can someone help me with a link to one of her designs and/or profile please? Not sure if I'm spelling her name wrong or something, but I'd love to find her patterns. Thanks in advance! :)
Nancy Groth get outta my head! My daughter and I just booked our hotel for MD. I have been trying to figure out what the video should be about--- is the "Maryland sweater" a thing? Because I heard it's often too warm to wear wool. Any other ideas on what people might want to chat about???
People do wear their best work, in my observation, probably more shawls than Rhinebeck sweaters? First weekend of May it's chilly in the morning, by afternoon it can be cool or quite warm. I still think the idea is so charming that you should do a Maryland version to let people and their work shine. I have selfish interest in wanting to show off (assuming I can finish in time) my project for this year. Using the Miss Babs show-only colorway I bought at MD Sheep & Wool in May 2016; when I got to the front of the 45-minute line to pay, I babbled happily whilst the credit card was being run about how this was my 3rd time at MDS&W but first time I had scored the Miss Babs show-only colorway when suddenly I noticed the nametag on the woman waiting on me was MISS BABS HERSELF IN PERSON. I was mortified and embarrassed but swore to myself that I would knit these skeins and wear the FO to MDS&W 2017 and get a selfie with Miss Babs.
At about 11:10 there's a lady wearing a shawl she calls Friesian/freezon ( spelling?l?) no luck in search and not finding the name she gives to stalk project page ;)
This is really fun. Because I'm from Denmark it's a bit difficult to come to Rhinebeck, but I've heard a lot of it. Watching this video gives a really good expression of the joy and excitement of all the dedicated people there. Thank you for sharing 😀👍❤️ GreteJ

Any chance you can do this again at Maryland Sheep & Wool? I'm knitting a shawl from Miss Babs' MDS&W2016 colorway.
