Actually not same. I am not surprised at all anymore of people doing everything and I mean EVERYTHING to get celebrities' attention. One Direction/Harry Styles was my jump into Kpop beginning with BTS. Since then (early 2020//mid 2021 because I randomly decide to drop the interest and then got into it again) I have heard of numerous stories of Saesang fans being absolutely crazy about their idols to absolute serious crimes. It starts with them deliberately finding out everything, doxxing the stars' locations to Saesang groups such as their homes, flights, what planes they use, where they will arrive and where they plan to go on that trip. Then they completely ignore stuff like personal space and manners and basic human respect and that's why most idols have what looks like 500 securities around them. Idk if you know that clip where Hyunjins(straykids member) securities form a circle around them and hold their hands so no one could get close to him in a one meter range? That's why. That one time around the middle of last year a fan of jungkook sent him food. Him being a literal millionaire he responded to saying publically in a livestream that he does not need food, that he has fridges full of stuff and is rich enough to always supply him with what he needs and if fans want to make him happy through sending food so badly he would be way happier if they send it to actual people in need of food instead. W move btw. That W move coated him his feel of safety though since the fan who sent the food decided okay bro don't want my food so I am just going to kill him. Girl took a video explaining in detail how she is going to kill him, how she is ringing his bell pretending to be some kind of post officer and what exact knife she is going to use to kill him. A week or two later bro was live again doing some average jungkook live shit and then his doorbell rang. He went to the door and looked who it was (by not opening that door) and then he turned on his security system/checked if it's on and continued with the livestream. Since he was really weird, like what you think a man would behave with such a threat directly towards him in mind people to this day speculate if that was actually that girl or if this was just a regular post officer or another fan who found his house and rang to see what happens. Nobody knows but perhaps bro would have been fcking stabbed to death while on a livestream with thousands of people watching if he would have opened that door. That's why I am not surprised at all about what people utilize to get closer to their idols.
I mean I never thought I would be 30 and still unable to live without room mates comfortably despite working a full time job but hey... Weird shit happens.
Forcing a child to take tons of pills or even an adult daily .. for years on end will absolutely decimate your liver. I 100% believe her mother’s actions created a domino effect that resulted in her daughter’s death.
I mean hate to be that guy but using the word pills here doesn’t necessarily mean that the liver is the one that metabolizes them. I know it’s in her case but pills generally just isn’t the right word. Really I’m not trying to be a c*nt lol
Yeah... People will say that she was an adult by that point, but people don't know what abuse can do to your mind. She probably felt like there was no other choice. I wouldn't be surprised either, if she believed she was very sick, but was told she had to appear even sicker for the charity and so they could handle the costs of treatment. Nobody would take that much medicine and endure their significant sideeffects and risks, if they don't think they absolutely have to.
Especially Opioid medications. They completely destroy your liver. I'm on opioid meds myself and my liver is being monitored constantly as I'm so young. Her mother absolutely caused her daughters death. She may have technically been an adult, but she was still 100% dependant on her mother and as JuMiKu said, she probably felt she had no other choice. She probably thought her mum was the only person she could trust and the only person who had her back. Poor girl.
@@Lunabyes your opioids meds might have acetaminophen which is very hard on your liver, much more toxic than most opioids are on their own to my knowledge I notice that acetaminophen is seemingly deliberately mentioned many times in this video.
What a tricky one. On one hand, it’s disgusting that someone would fake something so serious to profit themselves & steal money from actually suffering people who really need it. But on the other hand.. how fucking cool would it be to just ball outta control at Disney for 4 months?! 😐
I experienced Münchausen by proxy. My parent claimed, among other things, that I was severely allergic towards many food groups. I had periods with bloated stomach due to malnutrition, and I developed multiple sclerosis, which is increased in chance of getting if you're under chronic stress, and have lower intake of vitamin D. ... my mother was of course happy that I got MS, and was happy that my life was sabotaged by her, since she caused fuss at every critical stage of my life. In my adult life, I read medical journals and found I never suffered from anything serious as a child. And I heard from others that they were extremely careful with her. Being careful meant no journal taking of critical information that would have ensured my right for (at least) monetary compensation of what I've experienced. Parents like that are monsters. It's sad to see such cases.
@@Seriousbomb54 It's actually debated if Muchhausen and Munchhausen by proxy should be considered as individual illnesses or just symptoms for other mental illnesses, mainly histrionic personality disorder (a personality disorder in which people desire to receive an unhealthy amount of attention and affection - and may have suicidal thoughts if they are not given) or BPD. Matter of fact is, you can't be mentally healthy if you show munchhausen traits. Nevertheless I agree, the thoughts of Munchhausen may be caused by the illness but the majority of people do the actions on their own volition rather than exercising self-control
I am deeply sorry for the pain you have gone through. For anybody who would love to learn a bit more about MBP in a similar style to fern, I recommend you to check out “The Illness that fakes an Illness” by Wendigoon.
@@Seriousbomb54 Lot of things mixed up in your comment: 1. Psychological disorders ARE illnesses 2. Just because someone has a mental illness, doesn't mean they won't get punished for their crimes. Your mental illness needs to be so severe, that you genuinely can't see that your behaviour is wrong, or can't act according to it. And in those cases it makes absolutely no sense putting people in prison ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@0.1gError depends on your viewpoint of psychology. adler would deny these mental illnesses existing since he sees ppl in the moment rather than in the past like freud and jung. For him there is no trauma. My father is a diploma psychologist and said to me once that both schools are equivalent. so whether these disorders are actually a thing can be up for debate.
“Hey Meg, do you want me to take you to see 1D & Disney??” “Yes please mummy dearest, that’s every 13-year-old’s dream!” “You won’t ever have to go to school again either! Just do [this] and never breathe a word…” Ployed into her mother’s Munchausen’s by promise of reward, and wouldn’t be surprised if it were punishment on the other end of the spectrum if Meg didn’t do what she was told-therefore does what she’s told & enjoys the reward from it. Cases like these have soooo much nuance, but imo it is never a minor’s fault when they’re growing up in custody of the mentally ill person; though in Meg’s case, I’m pretty sure starting at 13 you would know enough right from wrong to know this is a _huge_ wrong, and by 18 (or whatever age she could legally leave the house for good) she should/would have left the abusive household-to continue the deception as a legal adult is where I personally find fault & complacency in her. Also I don’t much to go on, but had her 4 older siblings _ever_ tried to help her out of there?? Quite worrying especially when a sister discusses how they knew pretty well what was up & even made betting games out of it-their mother definitely poisoned their sister and I hope they don’t live with a guilty conscience had they truly done all they could.
@@gyd1714 if my mom said it was okay and I got to go see BTS for example, 13 year old me would probably not see the problem. Children trust that their parents know what’s best for them. And she more than likely thought she was sick.
21:39 as a IIH patient, discomfort is not the right word - crippling, agonising, disability pain. It wont kill someone, but it will cause blindness, strokelike symptoms, and brain damage. Its also know as a "false brain tumour" because it presents the same symptoms as one, without the obvious cause.
i’ve also suffered from IIH a couple years ago. It was constant suffering, I couldn’t eat anything because i would throw up, i couldn’t sleep because of the pain. I had double vision and couldn’t stand to have more than one eye opened at the time. I couldn’t be on my feet or ride cars because I would throw up. I was in constant paint and by the time I had a spinal tap I was begging for anyone to bring me out of my misery. so it might not kill you. but discomfort is the last word i would use to describe it as
I also had IIH a couple of years ago and was scanned for a brain tumor because half of the cases are caused by that. So the beginning definitely did not seem far fetched. A little further down the road however...
Maybe it depends on each case? I have IIH (now treated) it was so bad that I lost my vision from Papilodeama (can't spell it!) and lost some of my hearing with pulsatile tinnitus as well (which hasn't gone) but while they were certainly bad I don't remember the headaches being awful. But maybe I've blocked it out!😅 Edit: just got to that part of the video, I see why you commented that now, it makes IIH sound slightly bothersome rather than extremely debilitating (whether it be from pain or other symptoms)
IIH CAN KILL YOU. Please please please do not say that this disease "won't kill someone." It's not common but if I hadn't refused to leave the ER it would've killed me. My time from spinal tap to unconscious open on the operating table was just half an hour it was so serious.
Make-a-wish and it’s equivalents exist across the world including UK. The reason she made her own charity is because other organizations would ask for proof of illness. By controlling her own organization she had freedom to claim any conditions her child „had” and collect money with virtually no control.
My friendship group had to deal with one of our 'mates' lying about cancer. He had us running around for him doing things he acted like he couldn't do himself. He lied to his parents and brothers too. We found out because his brothers had checked every hospital in the area and couldn't find any record of him. He left town the next day. We still don't know where he went. It's still affecting us all years on. I saw one of the most stoic men I know cry because of it. It truly is one of the most fucked up things you can do.
@jclive2860 well I'd imagine he has a next of kin that would be able to get information like that, more than likely someone in his family was his contact. I forgot to mention that he basically told us all he was going in for a surgery on his tumour. I think he realised he couldn't keep the sharade up forever so he thought this would be a good end to it, but it just made his lies more obvious to us all. Plus, one of my friends saw under his bandages and there was nothing there which basically solidified what his family had said about not finding any record of him for the surgery. He blew it all up for himself in the end really but it left us all feeling a bit traumatised.
@@tarasteward4797Nope, not in the US at least. Unless the hospital has a signed release form from the patient themselves, they cannot disclose any information to anyone. Not even family members. It's federal law (HIPAA). The only other way to obtain someone else's medical records is via a legal subpoena, and even then they have to ask for specific information. If you just call a hospital and ask if any given person is a patient there, they legally have to say that they can neither confirm nor deny that that person is a patient.
There is something bout the 40s that makes people drop dead, like my parrents attended loads of funerals durning that time. strokes, heart attacs, cancers. and then it just slows down at the 50s. probably just confirmation bias but a interesting and horrifying thing

I do not blame the poor child. She was abused and manipulated by her mother into this life for YEARS. I am disgusted by the mother, but not the daughter, she was also a victim here.
as a child i felt guilty when a i feel like a could go to school, because my mildly unwell was not enough to stop, but my mother agreeing with me to get the day off was such temptation, still AS A CHILD with my mother agreeing,.. i felt bad. (Being manipulated as a child I understand, but a 30 year old woman without a mind of her own, I would have to have followed the story personally and very closely to try to say if she was really a mere victim.) But we all certainly agree that the mother is to blame, even if i dont know if the daughter is also or not.
This is called Munchausen syndrome by proxy - when someone else (the mother) claims that another person (the daughter) has some sort of an illness, even though they don't. It can be super scary, imagine getting surgeries and medication you don't need...
As a 17 year old I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension caused by an actual brain tumor. I will never understand why people think it will be okay to fake diagnoses in order to garner attention and financial gain. It's truly despicable. The last thing I wanted after my diagnosis was attention, I was too terrified of the fact I had to have brain surgery at 17 years old. Munchausen by Proxy is a serious mental illness. One that needs to be addressed so that children do not continue to suffer medical neglect because of their parents. While this girl did have some true medical issues. For them to lie about a brain tumor, as an actual brain surgery survivor, I am truly disgusted.
IIH is by definition only diagnosable with a structurally normal contrast enhanced MRI of the brain (aside from secondary changes due to the cerebrospinal fluid hypertension).
well you just said it. its a despicable act for attention and worst case scenario gather money from random ppl who sadly believe that lie. its sad when ppl fake illness of any form, its unfair to people with the actual illness. The money they raised would have been used for the kids with actual illness, they insted used them for trips and expensive cruises. its disgusting how horrible some people are. and worst of all, these scams have happened so often that nowadays when people with actual illnesses ask for donations, the world things they are a scam too
yeah at that point you'd likely be hospitalized and have drugs administered by IV. I don't think any doctor/hospital would ever give someone that many pills to take daily
I’m actually dying of cancer, it started with oesophagus cancer, I had my whole oesophagus cut out in a major operation and most of my stomach moulded into a new oesophagus and stitched together.. along with 8 rounds the strongest chemotherapy they make, I had to learn to eat again and it took 12 months to recover, as a result of the operation I ended up with a hernia, I had my small and large intestine, along with my tiny stomach and half my pancreas all knotted together and stuck inside a hole in my chest that the surgeon said he could nearly fit his head in.. while getting the scan for it they found a lump on my adrenal gland, they removed it a couple of months after my hernia operation.. 2 months later they found a 10mm lump in my abdomen sack, now they are calling my cancer reoccurring matistic cancer, it’s inoperable because of where it is, now I have to have chemo and immunotherapy every two weeks for the rest of my life, I’m up to round 20 and I’m not coping the best.. the oncologist has given me 2 years to live.. I say this all just to say this story makes me sick to my tiny stomach. That mother should be jailed for life and there should be a full investigation
@@MichaelBrown-me3bhthat’s so horrible. Not sure what to say. I hope life has still been worthwhile for you, and that you’re able to survive by some twist of fate, however unlikely.
Poor Megan. She didn’t even know that it was because of her mother why she was so sick. She really thought she had cancer but really it was her mom making her ill. I’m glad that before she died, she experienced happiness and was able to meet her favorite people. I hope wherever she is, she is even happier. 🥺
she was groomed, I think she was fully aware, late teens u know what ur doing and might regret it later, but ur cognisant, her own sisters ignored her when she feinted infront of them and she got up and walked off when they paid no attention. Makes this case even sadder imo, her mum must have been through something crazy for her to do something THIS messed up and getting her daughter to go along with it. one very long sad story.
Towards the end, I have no other reaction except to feel deeply sorry for Megan. I want to bet that Jean was more sad over the fact that she could no longer extract any more forms of attention and money from her daughter.
Don't think it was Münchausen by proxy, but I did experience something similar. As a teen I struggled with bullying. When I started to depressed and avoid going to school my mother did not try to help, instead she encouraged my absence. When I eventually quit school my freedom got taken away step by step. Making me feel unable to do anything, to be reliant on them for my every need in life. Before I became an adult my mother got me to sign a parental conservatorship. Due to it I lost 15 years of my life as a pseudo prisoner. Whenever I expressed any interest in becoming more self reliant it was shortly shut down. When I spent 2 years saving money to do a vacation on my own as an adult, she threatened to disable my access to my bank account. My mother passed away a few years ago so the parental conservatorship is gone. Now in my early 30s I am finally able to start having a life again, but it is difficult.
i am so so sorry for the time you never got to savour the way you wanted to. i sincerely wish for you to find people who see you as a person and only have your best interests at heart from now on! take heart and take care🫶
I mean, as far as i understood it, it's a mental disorder, right? So it's not really their choice. I'm not saying that this justifies these actions, but I also think that it's possible to help these people, so they stop doing this.
I celebrated my 20th birthday in PET/CT scan machine thingy. It started with going for xray because i thought i had damaged lungs from covid. I found out that i had hodgkins lymphoma, next day i was already in hospital and the day after i went there again for the scan and sample. Then it went so fast, the chemotherapies and stuff. After 3 or so months the disease was gone. Now after that i dont understand even more why someone would willingly choose to fake something like this, even to her daughter.

Münchhausen (by proxy) is a very interesting disorder. One of the first recognized cases was a mother in the US (at some point after WWII I think). If my memory serves me right, the woman was an unwanted child and was not treated well by her parents. The first time she got real attention was when her young child died (not her fault). She liked it. She liked it so much in fact, that none of her future children would life longer than a few months (smothered by a pillow, probably). The public suspected a genetic cause, until her adopted son died (at the age of 3 or 4 I think). In another case, a mother convinced doctors to perform countless unnecessary surgeries (i.e. her son had a surgery that would make him incapable of vomiting; another gave him a feeding tube). In a more recent case, a girl got her mom killed because her mom made her sick (I think her name is Gypsy, she got out of prison recently). I think a cause for Münchhausen could be a problematic childhood. Would be nice if we had more info about Meg's mom.
This case is kinda similar to gypsy rose case with different ending but both have the same elements and it's honestly so scary how a parent can do something like that to a child Ps i love your documentaries fern♡
It is unbelievable how manipulative and psychopathic a person can be to scam thousands of dollars (or in this case pounds) out of donators just for attention and presenting oneself like a hero. Great video, love it!
Whats fucked up is that several cases of Munchausens and M-by proxy, especially online, they don't take the money, they do donate it - it's all for attention. They aren't there to drain the finances, but emotional energy.
Joanna... is a goddamned genius. Whether intentional or accidental, the "all the poorly children" is just enough of a grammatical oddity that the person responding to her question will drop their guard and assume any excuse will work. _Even the incredibly stupid excuse of 3 different hospitals_
Meagan was absolutely manipulated. Poor girl. She never stood a chance with her psycho mother. Jean should be ashamed and held accountable for actions.
I think "Alicia Esteve Head" was a pretty similar story. She pretended to be a survivor of the 9/11 attacks and lead the support group. You can read the Wiki article on her, if you are interested.
I saw the title and already hate this, I have 4 autoimmune diseases I will have for the rest of my life, they started at 16 and I got my last one at 24. Also the 100 pills thing cracked me up. I take about 12 twice a day and that's considered a decent bit.
Right? Like, I have an autoimmune disease (ETA: just one at that, power to you with multiple my friend and best wishes 🙏) and the associated comorbid syndromes, and I also take a fair few meds. I take 6 twice a day, and 9 supplements only because my condition has gifted me with bonus anemia/deficiencies, and it's hard to do! Like, it's legitimately logistically difficult to incorporate these different pills with their different meal and water needs and the supplements with the same... I can't imagine 100. It would be my entire existence, just trudging through a careful regimen of pills and food, I would need a carer just for that. I had to chuckle at that.

to be fair i think she really did take an extreme amount of pills daily considering she got liver disease severe enough to stop her heart, its just that obviously she didnt need to take those pills nor that many, entirely possible 80% of the pills she took was opioids.
Can’t imagine how angry I’d be if I actually suffered from something so serious while a family fakes suffering & massively profits from it as the rest of us struggle to get by
That's a hard task, being a whistleblower to a kids cancer charity,... but says a lot for the people who uncover it... and equally for the people scamming
This video quality was so good and that transition into the sponsor was so smooth and well done, I was confused on whether it was part of the actual content for a few seconds
I was accused of having Münchausen syndrome by my first psychiatrist. And it was horrible and just the worst experience and she was so mean and cruel and ugh; she should not work in healthcare. And this was a child psychiatrist! And she did all of this because my condition was too extreme for her to understand and so she accused me of faking it. However, I got a new psychiatrist and about a year or two later, I was hospitalized and then I got better. And I have a slurry of other conditions as well but the one condition that set off the most alarm bells according to the first psychiatrist; was exactly the one that was cured by the second psychiatrist. All because the second one had some compassion, empathy, belief, that I was in fact ill and struggling and they took the appropriate action and years later, I'm still stable and doing better in some ways. But then you see stuff like this video right here and... I mean it's infuriating. This was most likely Münchausen syndrome by proxy or FII and I don't know if Megan was aware or not but if she wasn't then this is... I mean it's child neglect and abuse. Possibly negligent manslaughter? What if the meds she was forced to take caused her to die? Any form of Münchausen syndrome is horrible because it makes ACTUAL extreme cases of illness go untreated or accused of faking it. And it's horrible... You're sick and the people meant to help you get better; don't believe you. It sucks man. And people who fake it for attention or the various other reasons are just the worst man...

How people can sick so low to do this. And think they can get away with pulling such a scam. Worst of all taking advantage of people’s goodwill and charity. In a world where everything is digital and medical records can easily be checked.
As a 1dead stan from back in the day, it’s really sad how much Louis Tomlinson and his family were dedicated to this charity only for it to be revealed as an elaborate scam; it really stings that Louis’ own mother passed away from leukaemia, and then the family lost Fizz shortly after. I hope at some point, Meg learned the truth and at least had some REAL moments of joy without her mother. But who knows :/
Wiedermal eine tolle Qualität und Steigerung der Animationen. Es macht richtig Freude eurem Wachstum zuzuschauen 😊 danke für das Teilen eurer Leidenschaft
When I was 2 minutes into the video I started to think about Munchhausen by proxy. I’ve watched MANY documentaries about all kinds of syndromes, so it’s easy for me to "identify“ syndromes like this. I hope Megan can rest in peace now. She deserved better
I also have idiopathic intracranial hypertension. Idiopathic means the cause is unknown. If a brain tumor is the thing causing your intracranial hypertension, it is no longer idiopathic because you know the cause. The cause of the intracranial hypertension is the tumor.
Not related to the video entirely, but I’ve recently been obsessed with this channel. The presentation, the commentary, it sort of just gets you hooked! It feels like watching a professional documentary. Thank you for these informative videos! 😊
When you hear something like this it’s easy to blame the victim for not knowing her mom was lying but imagine it like this if you drop a alive frog in boiling water it will jump out but when you slowly heat the water the from won’t notice before it’s too late
That took so many twists and turns. I didn't know you could achieve that high a ratio of twists to plot. I mean, you can't drop a cancer patient who may be faking cancer, then the twist that she died, which I imagine would disprove her faking brain cancer, then drop the twist that it wasn't brain cancer that killed her, meaning all bets are still on, all in the first three minutes
Okay, I'm only a few minutes into the video so far but I just wanted to point out that the idea with organizing a ball for the kids is so sweet. I'm perfectly healthy, but having been a kid myself once, I can say that this would've probably been one of the most beautiful days of my life. And considering that those children were battling terrifying illnesses everyday, it probably was the best day of their life. No matter the history behind it, the idea of giving children who had to face the cruel reality of the world at such a young age the chance to experience something so wonderful and magical and just let them be kids for one day, it's absolutely beautiful. The world needs more projects like this one. (Again, I haven't finished watching the video yet, but I suspect there was some shady stuff going on in the back so to clarify: I mean we need more of those projects, without the bad things attached to this one.)
Tragic. I was a One Direction fan at the time and remembered their support for this charity. Wasn’t aware at all about the controversies behind the scenes but this is a sad story all around.

I think it was very interesting because in each chapter, you follow a different perspective. In Chapter 2, you are set in the minds of the people who doubted Megans condition and you could probably imagine that these people were at one point so angry about the lies and the deceit, that they missed the broader picture. It was only until her death that the truth came out. This was such a subversion of the typical scam story and that’s why this video made such an impression on me.
Wow. As a one direction fan, I’m shocked I’ve never heard this full story. Knowing what Louis’ mother went through….it makes me feel sick for him. I can’t imagine what he must feel about this.

I’ve had cancer. It was when I was like 6 months old and onwards. It was leukaemia. I don’t remember much but by the photographs I have, let’s just say thank god I don’t remember it. I had tubes all over my body. Those tubes and the scars I have on me chest is proof that I was patient. So if people fake cancer, just check for scars

That's why I am not surprised at all about what people utilize to get closer to their idols.
never thought I'd watch a true crime style essay that begins with One Direction loge
Poor girl.

@@Seriousbomb54 Lot of things mixed up in your comment:
1. Psychological disorders ARE illnesses
2. Just because someone has a mental illness, doesn't mean they won't get punished for their crimes. Your mental illness needs to be so severe, that you genuinely can't see that your behaviour is wrong, or can't act according to it. Ployed into her mother’s Munchausen’s by promise of reward, and wouldn’t be surprised if it were punishment on the other end of the spectrum if Meg didn’t do what she was told-therefore does what she’s told & enjoys the reward from it.

But maybe I've blocked it out!😅
Edit: just got to that part of the video, I see why you commented that now, it makes IIH sound slightly bothersome rather than extremely debilitating (whether it be from pain or other symptoms)
It is obvious since the pressure is so high…
IIH CAN KILL YOU. Please please please do not say that this disease "won't kill someone." It's not common but if I hadn't refused to leave the ER it would've killed me. My time from spinal tap to unconscious open on the operating table was just half an hour it was so serious.
Make-a-wish and it’s equivalents exist across the world including UK. The reason she made her own charity is because other organizations would ask for proof of illness.
Why would the hospitals disclose information about him anyways?? Thats protected under the law. Unless if he’s under 18.
@@tarasteward4797that is pretty funny though it was a great joke on his part.

I do not blame the poor child. She was abused and manipulated by her mother into this life for YEARS. I am disgusted by the mother, but not the daughter, she was also a victim here.
as a child i felt guilty when a i feel like a could go to school, because my mildly unwell was not enough to stop, but my mother agreeing with me to get the day off was such temptation, still AS A CHILD with my mother agreeing,.. i felt bad. (Being manipulated as a child I understand, but a 30 year old woman without a mind of her own, I would have to have followed the story personally and very closely to try to say if she was really a mere victim.)
But we all certainly agree that the mother is to blame, even if i dont know if the daughter is also or not.
Telling people you're sick to get out of school is very different from Münchhausen by proxy. She's been noceboed into being sicker her entire life.
I've always felt guilty whenever I've faked a little illness to get out of a day of work or something but doing something like faking cancer…… 😅
I cant imagine how scary that operation was but am happy you’ve shared this here and hope you are doing well today.
We don’t have any proof from you either so maybe you are just making it up 🧐
How was it idiopathic if they knew at the time it was caused by a brain tumour?

There was a movie about the last one. She got a boyfriend and killed her

When you said “LouiS Tomlinson”, the directioner, I thought died in me, screamed
Stories like this is why people think genuinely sick people are faking and scamming when they’re desperate for help. 😢
This is _fascinating_ -- never heard of this story. Absolutely bonkers.
7:01 unintelligible speech is "how much that you miss out on when you're poorly (unwell)"
I really like the transitions from animation to real life footage. Great work
the timing of this video showing up on my recommended is SCARY
Why?
@@drebue7065liam from 1d mentioned at the beginning of the video is dead recently
I barely remembered this happened within the fandom…omg, I didn’t know how wild it all got
Thank God for women like Joanna, and also for those who know something is up and go through great lengths to call it out.
Yep.
I just wanted to peak the 3D animation style but got hooked until the end of the video. Very well done.
It's so unfortunate when people take advantage of goodwill and the kindness of others for personal gain.
Incredible video, keep up the good work 👍👍
You did NOT finish a 18min video in 3
Fern never misses with quality production.
this fills me with such a unexplainable rage, i literally just had a chest port put in yesterday , as part of my cancer treatment
It is always a trip when fern uploads.
Tragic. I was a One Direction fan at the time and remembered their support for this charity. Wasn’t aware at all about the controversies behind the scenes but this is a sad story all around.
10 years later I still get chills from this

GERMAN : Hey, als ein Simpli-Zuschauer ein extrem gut recherchiertes Video! Informativ, spannend sowie kritisch, so sollten Videos Meiner Meinung nach sein ! Weiter so!
Danke, dass ihr jetzt auch englische Videos produziert. ❤❤❤❤
PS: QUALITATIV 1A+. (In Bezug auf das Video)
ENGLISH : Hey, as a Simpli viewer, extremely well researched video! Informative, exciting and critical, that's how videos should be in my opinion! Keep it up!
Thank you for now producing English videos too. ❤❤❤❤
My mom actually has idiopathic intracranial hypertension. She's had a shunt (a tube to drain the brain fluid into her stomach) since before I was born. The condition massively affects her every day. Not really heard anyone outside my family even mention the condition, so it was crazy to hear it in this video!
the graphic style gives vibes of the game series from the walking dead. I like that
I feel bad for all of those that have the disease. I so sorry, wishing you best of lucks.
its so weird bc i was an avid 1d fan esp through 2013-2018. i remember believe in magic and cinderella ball, but not the scam allegations. even now when fan accounts post throwback pics of the Cinderella ball, no one really says anything about it. i wonder why! i wonder if louis and the other boys even know about this.
Thank you for the top tier quality videos, fern.
I love the narration style it make me more focused and intrested
The mother has CRAZY eyes.
How can people be so blind?
Humans are inCREDibly POOR judges of character. It’s remarkable. Im with you, l can see crazy where no one else does and lm basically always proved correct. To me it’s a vital survival skill.
Ive liked the low poly style more. But still incredibly work
banger video, still not a fan of AI-generated thumbnails tho
15:25 actually, the Queen Mary 2 is the only Ocean Liner in the World that's still in Operation, so anyone going by ship not as cook on some container freighter literally has to take the Queen Mary 2, no matter "luxury"
Hello Fern! Greetings from a German living in Guildford of all places! Much Love
My complaint about this video is both the thumbnail and the first half paint Megan as the villain when she was the victim in all this
Exactly. Its very disgusting that they would do that.
Agreed.

I really like this new artstyle, keep up the amazing work❤
Wow. As a one direction fan, I’m shocked I’ve never heard this full story. Knowing what Louis’ mother went through….it makes me feel sick for him. I can’t imagine what he must feel about this.
Excellent video as always, prefer the previous minimalistic animation to this but still extremely enjoyable
Jezus, this is one of the best animation and video’s i have seen so far… 😮
On the road to one million :)
nice guys, great video
This channel is the first time I’ve seen Netflix-level documentaries with comments below them lmao
They’re actually better than Netflix level because they avoid the melodrama you often see in Netflix documentaries
I wasn't expecting One Direction to be a part of this lmao
same lol
Disney World is such a terrible waste of money
Listened to the BBC broadcast before this. This is a great abridge of the story.
Im really hooked on the quality of the videos on this channel.. Very amazing! Keep up the awesome work
I’ve had cancer.
Thank god you survived especially at only 6 months old I bet the doctors estimateted a 0% survival rate
@@mr_darkeye nah actually they kept sending me home thinking I was alright and when me mam knew there was summit wrong with me the nurses kept calling her "the overreacting mother"
Until one nurse actually saw what the other nurses couldnt and I was hurried straight into care
But I forgot to mention that it came back when I was 3 or 4 and those are the only memories I have.
I was in an isolated room for weeks. But there was a helipad just outside the window and I always asked mam to open the window so I can see the giant helicopters go past
I eventually got a donar from Germany and he gave me, his bone marrow or his blood idk. But after that I'm 16 now and I haven't had any problems since
However I don't expect to be treated any different in life. Yes I survived but I won't use it as an excuse to get what I want.
Im happy to be alive and I'm looking forward to the future.
