I work at the Heineken Experience in Amsterdam, am a big Heineken nerd and I know that the Heineken family personally asked us not to mention/talk about the kidnapping
Haha yeah and yet here you are, in fact talking about it. Not that that is bad, because the worth of the word and whishes from a family that made its money thru slave trading, are only worth so much
I have a question, I went there recently, and I tried to get a bottle with c*nt on it, just because and the lady told me i couldnt have it... is that an actual rule or was it just the person working there that day?
Not really. The police would have been on them straight away due to the cars and phone calls. They clearly had no idea how police operate and would have been caught easily without the tip.
If you don’t live in the Netherlands, the effects of this kidnapping are still felt. Also for some reason the escape of a gorilla was front page news for months. It’s a weird country.
Why I am feeling so proud of the fact, that I am a neighbour to both the kidnappers and the narrator of this channel. I mean you gotta agree it was a heck of a kidnapping. Without that Tip Dutch polices wouldn't figure it out IMO. By the way, our company uses ODOO as a company platform. :)
They probably aren't great people but there is just something about stories like these where you wish they got away with it. But at the same time we wouldn't know any of the details
You speak with an American accent, but pronounce the Dutch words perfectly, at least to my ears. It’s almost jarring, but in a good way. You have yourself a new subscriber.
The guy speaking is American but the people behind the channel(s) are German or Dutch so they probably make sure to get the pronunciations right There’s that slight hint, that no matter how good you are, if you didn’t grow up in that specific spot your accent will sound a little off The guy speaks pure English no hint to be found
@kirawr8064 This is what I was thinking. The American accent sounds 100% legit. I'm Afrikaans, so I only have a vague idea of what Dutch sounds like. So maybe the Dutch isn't perfect🤷
I get it though 😂 Their plan was so smart and it’s not like the plan was to physically harm anybody, they only wanted to get a rip of money off an insanely rich family. Of course nothing ever goes exactly according to plan..
Total Pro production! The narrators voice the ENTIRE documentary can stand up or over any investigative news docs. The animations superb. Music perfect. Ending... Probably the best ending True Crime ive seen in years. Thank you HOOG. First documentary by you guys made me anxious like nothing else on TH-cam. Blew me away. AND F the Nose. Absolutely wonderful video. As a recent expat to the Oranjeland knowing more about its history is really satisfying especially with your incredible storytelling and videomaking skills. Okay the quality of your content is so unmatchably good. These visuals are so impressively unique that i gotta say this: Have you ever considered making a short PS2 style video game? The narration, script, info alongside these visuals just boggles my mind! Thank you for making this stuff
It looks like a compilation of cutscenes out of a ps2 crime genre game narrated and with great background music as well. Really cool and the quality really is top tier for a youtube video.
They pulled off such a brilliant plan and were so young. I do wonder who gave the tip off as that was huge. Also, I would have liked to have heard what happened to the hostages. I assume they were found and okay but I would have liked a quick note on that to finish the story.
Weird choice to not mention who the tip was from, like mention everything but who could've been the one to bring them down? I don't mean the exact person of course but to just leave it like that is meh. The video as a whole and the style is just stellar though.
Video could’ve been longer but it’s honestly just unclear. Nobody knows. Maybe someone that worked near them, maybe a family member, maybe just a friend.

Good video, only slightly confusing to see the men wearing orange suits. That probably was done to indicate they went to jail, but in the Netherlands people in jail have never worn orange suits and since the 1980's prisoners wear their own clothes.
