In the ending of the previous episode, the professor actually said the reset would take them back to the moment before he thought up the time button. So either he was lying to them, or he made a mistake and fibbed in his notes to cover it. Given his senility, I’m guessing it was the latter.
Ok so what I think happened is time itself went back to the moment he convinced the button, which was probably a day or a few before the last episode, so time itself went able to that point, but the ppl just stayed where they were. it makes sense as bender says his beer is stale, so it did age even tho it was all reversed
Or we have two time lines. One where they went back at the start doing everything all over in a continuous loop and the other where time was reset/fixed. It also doesn't make sense because in the original ending the Professor stated that none of them would remember what happened, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Multiple time lines could make sense since there are multiple time lines, parallel dimensions and dimensions existing, not to mention the "what ifs". So it's all plausible.
@@TheDarkFable Yeah I know, but considering how the showrunners thought the show was over, they wanted to write something to explain how it all tied back. Kind of glad it was retcon, but still doesn't make sense from the show's perspective. So now we have two different endings once again.
I kind of thought that Meanwhile was supposed to be the penultimate finale, I remember when it was shown live on TV they played the first episode of the entire series directly after to signify it was over, that it was a perfect loop
,I think the real reason is do to it being a marathon of everyone of the episodes ,so once the Series Finale aka the Last Episode of Season 8 ended it just started to show the very 1st Episode of the show again ,,
No thats just a dumb fan theory that stuck. The button took them back to before the professor invented the button. That was never stated at all to be before the series started, at all.
Fun fact, “penultimate” doesn’t mean what you think it means. It means “second to last”, so theoretically, if you had actually meant what you said, you might’ve been right should this new reboot be the last.
On the count of three, you will awaken feeling refreshed, as if Futurama had never been cancelled by idiots, then brought back by bigger idiots. 1... 2...[Snaps fingers] - 0:45
Well the events of that crossover either happens later after time starts moving again or the events of that crossover happened in a different universe of Futurama that takes place in The Simpsons future. You could also ask the same thing about that glitchty Futurama mobile app game which is no longer available since alot of people couldn't finish the events in the game due to alot of stuff in the game was unbalanced. The servers for the game ended back in April 2023.
Humanity couldn't handle testal flying car 🚗. ...or his don't copycat him star constellation with the flying car blue paint 🎨 getting blessed by a god to become real WITH HIS FUCKING BREATH 🫁
Robots have backup copies but only bender doesn't. They could work with Roberto coming back and it'd work out. Same with Calculon rising from the dead.

Or….you know….plot hole

@@UrSammich he didn't conceive of the time button before the show started. The "its a loop" never made any fking sense

The fact that it only had been 10 years instead of 45 is shocking
I don't think I can wait 45.
: (
Lpve how season 10 ended with white like perfect ending just for it to turn into them standing there 10 years later 😂 that was wonderful
it was almost a minute and a half until Bender said what I was hoping he would.
We're Back Baby!
I'm glad this is back past 10 years and now my favorite show is back

Honestly I'm glad that after a decade that loop got unstuck. It's been a good run let's do it again!

IT'S BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the Simpsons crossover episode in season 26 was not cannon I'm guessing
I think it can be, it just needs to take place after this new revival of Futurama.
Previously on Futurama...
I am so worried about the wonky animation being in the first second of the first scene, Fry's eye roll is just off in pupil alignment.
, I checked & Futurama is actually in it's 8th Season & not in its 11th Season as just like Season 6 & 7 was sprit into 2 Halves ,,
So are Fry and Leela engaged?
married
Wait, didn’t New New York Was Destroyed by The Barts in The Simpsons Episode Simpsorama

Wait how is Roberto alive???
We already saw that he had somehow come back to life in Stench and Stenchability.
Robots have backup copies but only bender doesn't. They could work with Roberto coming back and it'd work out. Same with Calculon rising from the dead.
