- I realized that burgeon Kazuha enabled Crit Kokomi to work well on the new Hunter's artifacts to have a semi-usable build. So CritKomi is far more of a thing now than it used to be, at least.

I originally was going to discuss more things like Rosaria + Geo Traveler as options, but I decided not to in order to keep the video a bit more focused on specifically a build utilizing the new artifacts in a fun way is all. And yes, I know blizzard strayer exists, but I don't really like Freeze (outside of hyperfridge) nor do I have units leveled up or the artifacts to do a freeze team, so I couldnt exactly show any comparison in game. Generally speaking though, Freeze teams want the cryo unit to be on field fairly often, and are focused on buffing them, rather than your Hydro enabler. Its something you can do to be clear, but its not that different from using Crit Kokomi in Nilou imo, and for me personally I think Id have less fun playing Freeze than seeing occasional big vapes from Kokomi, which is where the fun of the new set is
17:47 that last frame before screen went blank with pretty much every reaction your team can create made me laugh. Burning, Burgeon, Vaporize, Overload, Quicken, Electro-charged, all neatly packed in one screen. One almost wonders how can so many reactions occur at once.

@@Just-An-Average-Guy Yes. it means nothing. Learn actual team building and you will realize most actual team deals way more damage in seconds, Ex. Aggravates are dealing at least 750k per rotations etc.

Also, R5 Royal Grimoire is probably one of the best weapons for meme Kokomi crit builds since every time she doesn't crit, the weapon has a passive with no downtime that will increase crit rate by 16% and all the way up to 80% (at R5), but you lose the crit rate from the Grimoire when you crit, and then you have to get the crit rate back again.
A bit surprised Sol didn't mention a BS freeze team with Grimoire to be honest

you know, just grimoire r5 and BS gain a PASSIVE 120 CRIT RATE. then you just get the rest from teammates/artifacts

Here's some fun facts. You can cause stronger Vapes, without building crit on her. All you need is the right ratio of HP, Healing Bonus, ATK% and EM. It's actually possible for you to get her to cause 9k -10k damage on her normal attacks while in the Burst, while causing 14k Charged attacks, which means that you would get really strong vapes, from this. Except that the values would be fixed as if you had 100% crit chance
Yep I'm aware. If I recall I thought I mentioned in the video that a healing build is still better, I just didnt want to get into technicalities of it, hence why I tried to emphasize that it was still a meme build, but now less of one lol

After seeing Furina's leaks, you can get 100 percent uptime on that set along with healing bonus, she provides.

Been thinking of doing this ever since i saw the artifacts! Even got the battlepass weapon for her since it has a bit better crit rate.

Fontaine is proving more to be Kokomi home from the underwater exploration to this domain which greatly benefits her and Miko, i was considering building her with blizzard arts and cryo resonance but this one is more flexible and doesn’t waste the 2ps effect.

When I first saw this set I thought about her using it. She IS WORTH the pain (to me at less).
Blizzard Strayer + Royal Grimoire is the classic choice, since it gives absurd amounts of crit rate while also being easy to pull off with the number of off-field cryo options we have.
The issue, of course, is the absurdly good stats you need to roll on your artifacts for this to actually give her better personal damage than just building her "properly." I've been wanting to build Critkomi since she came out, but I lockbox any artifact drops that are less than perfect at a baseline because it just isn't worth rolling anything else (Clam WILL beat out the meme sadly without near perfection on the artifacts). I wasn't planning to build attack on her, since I was gonna focus on her damage during her burst.
I'll have to look into Marechaussee as a potential alternative though. Do you know whether the effect triggers from heals of 0? Self damage isn't needed if it does.
IIRC, Maguu Kenki can't get away from you like that if you back him against a wall. What I don't recall is whether he started in that same spot in previous abysses where I abused that, or if he started closer to the back wall. 🤔

I've heard unsubstantiated things that lead me to wonder if maybe DPS Kokomi is going to be more of a thing than we expected, but probably not because of Crit shenanigans. I think she'll benefit from HP loss and gain mechanics, but not so much using the Hunter set. But it's all wild speculation until we know what Furina actually does.
Yeah, if Furina gives elemental bonus and healing bonus like rumored, she may make Kokomi output a lot of DPS but it will probably be best to just maximize her non crit dmg on a more traditional build, but I think putting her on crit artifacts is still much more of a realistic option to build towards now, which is cool if you want to do it for the funzies!
Now that the leaks are out we know Furina will more than double Kokomi's dps, while enabling Furina's max dps. It's almost like she was designed with Furina in mind

Currently, generic Kokomi's DPS builds during her burst is in line with Ayato's skill & normals, Eula's normals (no burst factored in), Nilou's hydro attacks, and Ayaka normal attacks.
She's upper tier; albeit, not top tier.
Once nice thing about her is her fish have some of the best tracking in the game.
9:33 Do you not use Enkanomiya for farming Specters? There are more than 40 of them there and most of their placements honestly aren't that bad.

Good tip, ty. In general I dont bother using the external map to find things unless I need a ton. I use the in game book navigation and then go from there if need be. I shouldn't have to use an external map and make a plan for farming something as simple as a few enemies to level talents when there's already an in game mechanism to navigate for me. Wish they'd improve it though

When this new set was out i thought about a lot of characters to use it as a Dps set. Like Kuki shinobu, maybe Hu tao ? Basicaly all the characters that looses hp and regain it fast

For easier pronunciation you could use Constabulary Hunter as that is likely the direct translation. Whether that means hunting for the constabulary or hunting the actual constabulary is open to discussion.
The two things that reconciled me with spectre farming after hating it for the longest time was to 1) mark out their location on the map to create three distinct routes to catch like 80% of the available spectres, none of which are the super annoying waterfall ones. And 2) using a Nilou/Nahida Bloom team, the combination of Nilou's cores and Nahida's E kill the little shits so quickly that the entire process becomes a whole lot more enjoyable.
Now I'm back to hating Hilichurl archer farming the most.
I never had an issue with specters but I also mained Yanfei so

I love farming specters. But it's only enjoyable with Lisa on the field and Fischl behind her.

I have spent literally the entire 4.0 patch farming the domain. By my math its about 7000 resin. And even then I think I've gotten a bit lucky lol

What about something like Kokomi, Nahida, Rosaria and Kaeya? Rosaria can give CRIT to kokomi, as can cryo resonance. Since cryo doesn't interfere with dendro Nahida will enable bloom, which can damage Koko, and she can heal herself to keep the effect of the set active. Core damage ticks are not as fast as burns, though. Kaeya is just there to enable the resonance, and for the off field burst. Diona or Layla would give a shield which prevents the damage taking, Ganyu wouldn't be too happy in the team, Chongyun wouldn't help either, so it probably has to be Kaeya.
Other idea would be Koko with blizzards strayer 4 PCs, Rosaria, Nahida and Benny
Blooms take too long to explode, I doubt it will be very functional, unfortunately. You can swap Nahida for someone else and just make it a freeze team, though.

I'd like to see a Blizzard Strayer kokomi vape lol. And no I didnt. I wanted to keep the video focused on this set and it creatively enabling a new option. I couldve gone in depth on all the various ways to get every bit of crit on kokomi, but that wasnt the thing I was trying to show. I also find freeze boring, and more importantly if Kokomi isnt critting I'm fairly certain a normal clam build on her probably outputs more dmg in freeze lol. Which is to say that imo the main reason to crit on kokomi is to see the big number for the sheer silliness of it, not because its good. And if you want the big number, you need to vape, where Marechausee is a no brainer.
The hidro arcon going to be a healer a buffer off fild hidro applicator/dps, with c2 onfild dps and she will be decreasing your onfild character hp (in osea form) and (in numa form) she will heal youe on fild and off fild character her E will summon 3 animels (a seahorse a crab and a octopus) in osia form. in numa form she will make those 3 animels into a small oceanad and the oceaned will heal your characters. So with her any carecter can use this new set
Except furina's healing is more like Benny's where it mitigates. Not full on heals. You also gotta sacrifice alot to make furina a healer if you want to make her one meaning as a buffer or dps she suffers loss. You're better off just using any other healer like baizhu

Rosaria can give up to 15% Crit Rate, Mona and Cryo resonance also provide 15% each, Geo Traveler provides 10%, if you want even more meme then C4 Hu Tao gives 12% to party members.

0:35 That's not quite true. CritKokomi was able to use Blizzard set along with Cryo characters to gain access to 55% Free Crit Rate (+70 if ROsaria).
So it wasn't just a matter of using high Crit Rate pieces, but rather using Blizzard Set with Crit Rate stats.
However the new Marchaussee Hunter set is indeed interesting because it allows for CritKokomi teams that are different from Freeze!
Maybe it's just me that thinks this, but it seems like they must've nerfed the enemies in the most recent Abyss rotation or something. I remember the first run of the rotation in 4.0 being a huge pain in the ass, but it was a lot easier the second time around. I perfect cleared it on my main account with only one retry the other night, despite Raiden National and Miko Taser not technically being the best choices for every chamber on Floor 12.
Hmm... Maybe it was about learning new enemies? It takes some time to play well against new enemies. And we got really many of them. Then, also mixed with all enemies, what made it even harder. Besides, buffs in Abyss are very meaningful, including cards that change each day.
I pulled her becuase many hate she can't cri. But I also repect a guy like you who tries to defy the -100 gravity as well.😂

One Furina is out, honestly no, not even for freeze. 15% dmg bonus is better than one crit rate roll extra if you can keep the stacks up. Without Furina, then freeze kokomi obviously wants Blizzard, since you cant keep Hunters stacks up, but you arent vaping on that set.

Maguu Kenki punishes every team unfairly, to be honest. He teleports away and uses an overpowered multi-hit combo attack if you're too close to him, but he also blocks nearly every arrow or projectile you could possibly shoot at him from a distance, so you _have_ to be close to him, even with archers. It's ridiculous. Oh, and the teleport multi-hit combo is basically unreactable in practice. You have know that it's coming beforehand in order to be able to avoid every hit. It's cheapshotted me so many times. If it didn't track the player it wouldn't be so unfair.
If I want to easily clear him without frustration I use Yae/Tighnari. Basically all the dmg is from range that way
@@Solunerra I would use a Yae Aggravate team against him, but I needed Miko Taser for all of the second halves and especially Coppelius.

@@Solunerra I'm probably getting close to 30k+ resin in the emblem domain and the only thing I have to show for it is 18 amazing flowers and feathers, a Raiden with 70/80 crit, a Xiangling with 30/80 crit, and a Xingqiu with 70/100 crit

you can make 100k vape dmg with kokomi without crit... that's the thing, just build her with a lot of hp, hydro dmg and do the right combo
Try r5 royal grimore + artifacts but change crit rate circlet to crit dmg instead. Furina's kit it based on reducing team hp, so when she comes out try a full vape team like Kokomi + Furina + bennet + Xiangling maybe or instead of bennet kazuha. You no only get a strong kokomi team, since furina needs a dedicated healer in her teams, you will be able to make this team deal high dmg too.

I don't like using food buffs, personally. If I was going for the highest dmg possible I could, but I dont want people getting unrealistic expectations from seeing such things, and I don't really enjoy doing nuke setups in general all that much

People still defend kokomi’s passive but it still is such an unfair and illogical choice, bc 25% healing bonus is extremely pathetic. It shouldve been 50% healing bonus or just 25% hydro bonus, or even some amount of hp, bc -100% crit rate is just so absurd

You are not wrong lol, but I've actually played DPS Barbs recently and Koko feels better to play to me. But more importantly, its largely something done just for fun. Like I said in the video, it is still a meme build, but it's less of a meme than it used to be.
While you say barbara does more, you forget that kokomi got the -100% crit passive BECAUSE she was too OP in the beta. On top of that she doesn't suffer the things barbara does. Barbara suffers from lack of healing uptime to functional hydro application without taking on field time away from the real dps or the infamous perma wet status. What people claim barbara does 'better' is actually fking terrible.
