This area of Okhla n Jamila Nagar is a suburb in South Delhi which is about 20 kilometers from Jama Masjid area of old Delhi where one feels like it is Muslim district. There are few more Muslim inhabited areas like Nizamuddin where you have Nizamuddin Aulia’s Dargah, here you mazaar of Jahan Araa Shah Jahans daughter, also lies here scholar poet Amir Khusro n off course you have Mirza’s Ghalib’s mazaar also. Another similar area of Mehrauli, Qutab Minar place, here you have Mazaar of Aulia Bakhtiyar Baqi. Like this you have quite a few mostly Muslim inhabited areas.

We have few things in common because of common South Asian culture and roots but we are now very diffrent in our thinking, vision, arts, languages and diversity. these mohala in delhi are mostly created during reffuge arrived in 1947 rest places which after 1960s created are very open and mordern so we have lots of pockets of these old mohallas in diffrent part of delhi in pockets.some are demolished and new built some are very same as earlier.
