    අහම්බෙන් මේ video එක දැක්කේ. ඔය දෙන්නා කියන දේවල් බොහොමයක් ඇත්ත. I have been living in NZ for 25 years with my family. During that time, one needs to apply PR from Sri Lanka before you arrive here. You need to have a university degree or a German Technical College qualification to achieve that target unless you come here to study and get PR. Most of the people who came here from SL have gone to Aus now. But I am still here due to most of the facts that you 2 reasoned out to have a quality life compared to Australia. The only thing that I can say is that one will be better off with proper medical insurance in NZ to avoid long waiting lists to avoid long waiting periods in the general system. Good luck with your youtube channel.

    • @journeywithsha
      @journeywithsha  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Maybe. We mainly focused on the construction field. Because most of my husband's friends are engineers. Most of the facts we got came from the people who moved from New Zealand to Australia. So they can see the difference. There might be other companies that offer flexible work arrangements.

  • @kanchanah
    @kanchanah หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    In Aus for engineering there's lot more opportunities than NZ. In Aus minning, Oil & Gas sector wages are highest, in NZ these sectors are very small compared to Aus.
    Brisbane has a very comfortable dry winter (Min 9°C to Max 18°C for 3 months of the year). Auckland winter is wet & windy (Min -1°C to Max 12°C), very uncomfortable.

      yeah but you have accidentally said that it’s 20 million in a city. also I think more of the facts were not that correct about Aus. schooling, work life balance, and about aboriginal culture were not 100% accurate. Referendum was not passed because it wasn’t the ideal solution and was more like how Sri Lankan politicians did to ethnic issue.
      Yeah everyone can argue as you said, both countries have pros and cons. I really like NZ when it comes to environment. 🙂

You need to understand that we cannot provide 100% information through a TH-cam video within 20 minutes. That's why we said anyone could argue about this topic for days and days. There are a lot of pros and cons, but it all depends on your job, your lifestyle, your personality, and the current situation. Anyone can hold an opinion, and there are no 100% right or wrong answers to these topics.

      I think you're wrong in some aspects.. House market in AU (both rental and mortgage) is definitely better than NZ. Health is better developed and accessible too, but when talked about the patient management, Yes NZ is still way better as you get better personal attention in there than busy AU. Public Transport, I cannot compare AU with SL or NZ as it has the best system.. I think you got confused with the number factor in SL against the quality. When you come from SL for the first time, it may look like everything was better in SL with home sick matters etc, but the truth is AU (and NZ too) is a much better, organised country and you feel this in the long run with no doubt.

    As an RN you can earn extra AUD60000 in Australia compared to NZ. sometimes it can be more than that . Earning over $150k per year is possible as an RN Aus. That's why many RNs leaving NZ. But the workload is similar compared to NZ. In NZ as an RN I was only getting 4 weeks of annual leave, but we get 5 weeks annual leave here in Aus. Environmental beauty is outstanding in NZ, but quality of life is best in Aus. I can understand what you are trying to tell. If NZ is better than Aus, why thousands of Kiwis living in Aus?

    • @journeywithsha
      @journeywithsha  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, but as a government servant, I get 5 weeks of annual leave and 15 sick leaves per year. Most of the people who leave New Zealand are people who get a medium salary in New Zealand. People who get more than $200-$300 in family income don’t want to leave.

    • @MrGprgpr
      @MrGprgpr 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Most of the New Zealand families cant earn over 200k per year. But many Australians can do it. As a person who have lived in both countries majority of Australians are rich and majority of New Zealanders are not rich. That's obvious when you look at the housing. Most of the Australian homes either new or well maintained. But in New Zealand when you pass through some suburbs, you feel like you are stuck in 1920s. In New Zealand most of the houses are very old, poorly maintained, not suitable for cold whether. People cant afford to upgrade them or buy new homes. If you look at the roads, in aus most of the cars are new, but in NZ many tend to buy 2nd hand used Japanese grey imports, as they cant afford to buy new ones.The things we still miss in NZ is people, most friendliest people on earth and the heavenly beauty, specifically the South Island. As a health care professional, I can clearly say health care is way better in Aus. If you a permanent resident or citizen you are well covered by Medicare, problem comes if you are a temporary resident, in NZ certain work visa holders are covered by public health funding, but not in Aus. In Aus we have a thing similar to ACC , but only for PR holders and citizens. When Australians get to know you, they become very friendly, but in NZ you are always welcomed . NZ is a lovely country, but many people are suffering from financial difficulties. As a registered nurse, I work less hours than I worked in NZ, but earn lot more than, what I earned in NZ. Yes, people say thank you to the driver when they get off the bus in Aus as well. You cant really comment on a country just visiting it for few days. You need to live there for a while before commenting. In Aus government spends billions on aboriginal people. They get everything free here. But maori culture is in another level. It's identity of NZ , I respect their way of living. So some of the things you said about Aus is correct, but many things are not really correct, I can understand because thats due to your lack of experience about Aus.
      We still miss NZ. It's birth place of our daughter. We consider it's an honour to be able to live in NZ. And Australia is a great place to live, you can choose the best climate zone suits you to live. The area we live is always green. Surrounded by rainforests, waterfalls and beautiful beaches. If you want a laid back lifestyle in Aus, just go and live hour and half away from a major city. Not like in NZ, here in Aus regional cities are also equipped with all the facilities, you have shopping centers and all the major stores.

    • @journeywithsha
      @journeywithsha  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In that case, I don't agree with you. One of my friends is living in Arno Bay, Australia, and they don't even have a shop or public transport over there. If you want to go shopping, you have to drive 100 kilometres to get your groceries. Also, there's no hospital near by if you have an emergency. There are places very rural in Australia too, not just New Zealand. And we have already mentioned that for the health care sector, Australia is a good place. We observed engineering and construction since my husband is a well-qualified professional. For those types of jobs, we will get a similar salary in both countries. Please. Bear in mind that we have given you what we experienced while we visited Austria. and a couple of times I have spent more than a month in Australia, not just a few days. As per our experience, if you are well qualified and have good experience, you can easily get more than $200,000 in New Zealand.@@MrGprgpr

    • @MrGprgpr
      @MrGprgpr 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@journeywithsha I was talking about regional cities, not small towns. Arno bay is a small remote fishing tourist town, if you want to live in such a place it's your choice. There are plenty of regional towns you can choose from with all the facilities in many places in Australia. Seems like your stay hasn't covered much regarding Australia. I have lived in many Australian cities including Perth, Melbourne and been to Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane. and I explained about Australia with my experience about it. Either you can agree with it or not. It's your choice. Engineering and construction is just a drop of water in the big job market. There are hundreds of other fields. Well experienced and qualified people from many professions are getting much more salary in Australia compared to NZ. If you try to compare salaries using web sites such as pay scale, you will be in trouble. Almost all the RNs in NZ these days earn well over NZD70000 and even a starting salary of a 1st year RN in Australia goes over AUD 100000 with penalty rates. Recently, over 90000 NZers applied for Aus citizenship since the recent change in law for NZers living in Australia. Over 700000 Kiwis living in Aus at the moment. That's a big percentage of Kiwis compared to their population. I don't know about the easiness of earning over 200000 for all the well qualified professionals in all the professional categories who live in NZ. After all many Kiwis who moved to Aus never plan to go back. People argue about this topic for hours. But that's the simple truth. Aussies love to travel to NZ for a vacation and many do often.

      @@MrGprgpr Yes, I know this can go on for hours. People who left New Zealand never saw it as a good country. People who run for money from time to time never see or offer any gratitude. By the way, we have met people who came back from Australia because of their busy lives and racism. And also, I know the percentage of people who applied for citizenship due to the recent change in Australia. But I have also seen Aussies who are migrating here to have a peaceful life.

      My experience is, NZ as a newly expanding country has better systems than Aussy and even UK, I guess. Australia still has lots of old, crappy systems that they had for ages which they hardly replace, so need so much human intervention. In that sense NZ goes for smarter, user friendly systems as NZ public is quite particular on this comfort factor than Aussies who obviously have more diverse population that is more resilient and tough. Good side about Australia is it's changing quite fast and the government is better responsive to public needs. Also, Aussies being tough is something that Kiwies will have to follow soon if they want to come out of the economic crisis that slowly creeps into their live styles. Simply for the rich NZ is better with its natural beauty and peaceful life styles, but not everyone is so lucky to have that luxury. Australia is too busy, work life is very demanding compared to NZ, but the education is much better than average NZ. To be honest what I don't so much enjoy in Australia is, it is too much multi-cultural, even to the extent you cannot enjoy belonging to one first world nation sometimes, plus it exposes you into some negative socio-cultural experiences you never wanted to come across in a developed country.

    what are the jobs you are doing?... I think your explanation is not totally correct. I have lived in both countries doing a professional job. New Zealand has no jobs for professionals, if you have to do surgery in New Zealand you are in big trouble... NZ health is in big trouble. My daughter is on a waiting list for more than a year. Talk to somebody who did an operation in NZ. there are a lot of medical blunders..Identifying problems is very bad. NZ doctors could not identify a lot of problems of my friends , they went to Sri lanka to find out their issues. One of the Doctors I know living in NZ went to Sri lanka for his surgery, this tells you everything in NZ. good luck. I do a good job for better salary for higher salary in Aussie now. I was taken to hospital due to stomach ache some years ago around 9pm... called an ambulance.... it came hours late..yet in the hospital there were no Doctors.. I was only used by a Chinese Doctor the next day after 10 am. He did not even show much interest. It only took 2 mins.. Now the situation is even worse!! How many SL people died after complications of the surgeries!! find out!!!

      It looks like you had a bad experience with your luck. My son had an allergy, and the ambulance did not even take 5 minutes during the COVID outbreak. Don't wait for everything to be perfect, and have good insurance so you don't need to wait for ages. You can prioritize or go to a private hospital. We talked mainly about the engineering and construction fields as we had a thorough look at the job market and salary scale. Helath is not the only fact to be considered when you are selecting a country. Then you should have stayed in Sri Lanka since Sri Lanka has the best service compared to these two countries. If you have good money, you will get the best care in Sri Lanka. And also, you are wrong in saying that New Zealand has no professional jobs. We have cousins who are CEOs, doctors, and engineers who are successful in New Zealand. As I mentioned before, it's all dependent on your luck and hard work. It looks like you really don't know the meaning of professional.

      @@journeywithsha Insurance?. its another scam.. If you have insurance they will have unwanted surgeries for money. In Australia I have not seen racism you are talking about. I am also a professional and yes, I agree only few people go across/succeed, but the majority will fail. I know a lot of engineers in NZ without a proper job. I know Docs who do not get jobs?, is this not racism?. Even NZ qualified Docs are amazed by the talents of SL qualified Docs, IBut they do not get visa or work permits, why?. Even my GP a foreigner told me they give priority to maori and white people in emergencies, find out.! know one student who has some lumps/swellings in the brain, NZ docs could even identify the problem, he was just given physio in AKL. he went to SL and found out 3 lumps in his brain, he was operated in SL and now doing fine. This is not my personal experience, its the case every field, And do not talk about insurance as all cannot afford insurance. Why do you pay huge tax then?, for what?, just to maintain employed lazy people?. I can write pages mate. just simply ask somebody who has had a surgey in NZ, then you will realize.!
