So far I've been massively underutilizing my Alligator; it's been running as a drone boat with mostly Salvagers in the high slots, as well as a remote armor repairer (for repairing damaged drones without having to dock or tether up) and enough Drone Link Augmenters to bring drone operation range up to match my targeting range. I'm sitting at 192 shield passive regen as well, with 50/60/50/50 for shield resists at Alpha level shield compensation skills. It really makes for fast and easy level 3 high-sec mission running with really fast looting and salvaging with an MTU. For drones I have two of each faction of medium navy/fleet version drones so I can swap out as needed.
This is what I will be using in a C3. It has everything better than my current T1. If I could fit another damage mod instead of a SPR it would still be fine in a C3. I have max skills for shields and missiles. My current T1 doesn't have a point, but its nice to have. All ressists over 60% which is what I aim for. 61k/ehp, 107hp/s passive rechanrge. Already farmed up 230k LP on my angel FW character. Probably gonna focus on the Mekubal for normal use because it works better in FW but a few of the khizriel wouldn't be misplaced in my hanger. Both will probably get built as scram kiters for the first few hulls
If you swap a couple of purgers for extenders, you’ll massively increase the buffer with little EHP/sec loss … cos extenders of course increase both EHP and recharge by 20% whereas purgers only increase recharge by 20%…
Q: I don't understand what 'optimal range within 2242 meter ' means, because 'falloff range within' is at 29km. Normally it's optimal range + falloff range where the falloff starts, right? Having optimal at 2.2km doesn't make sense to me with a 29km falloff range. And what does 'within' tell me? 😵💫
Optimal Range is the range within which your weapons are GUARANTEED to hit a stationary target. Beyond Optimal, towards Optimal + Falloff, this gradually reduces to a 50% chance. From Optimal + Falloff, the chance drops below 50% to effectively 0% at Optimal + Falloff + Falloff.

Man these graphics are so sick. I have always wanted to try Eve Online, but super intimidated by the learning curve and starting fresh. I hear it is pretty brutal.
Watch my HOW TO WIN video and that should help kickstart the best ways to enjoy the game. Otherwise, I have full tutorials on most of the basic gameplay loops. These days, the new player experience is MUCH better thanks to a decent tutorial that swiftly leads into Career Agents that actively teach the fundamentals, and an AIR Career Program that incentivise you to try new things after those Agent Missions (with full videos on how those work)
Different ways to fit it. This way I don't have to worry about the HEAVY neuting that happens in Wormhole ratting. Active tank can fall apart when you have four Awakened Upholders neuting you. For PvP or lighter PvE, active can work nicely. So don't judge a fit if you don't understand the purpose ☺️
A shield tank and a MWD on a ship that needs to get very close without beeing hit too much? You must be glowing like a christmas tree. Basically the opposite of signature tanking! Why not do at least artillery cannons where you don't have to get so close when you're already so easy to hit? Or change your closeup fitting to an amrour tank with an afterburner, should be still sufficiently fast and you have a much smaller signature radius and should be thus much harder to hit while you're trying to get close on your targets....
I'm coming at these from a PVE perspective, but in PvP, you only run the MWD when needed. When you're close enough, you're small and fast that you don't need it

A tip for your simulated fitting, if you hit save state in the bottom of your fitting screen you can go back to your previus loadout simulation fit

isn't the drone damage role boost 500%? so two drones are the equivalent of 10 iinm
500% boost. They're already 100%.
