I remember Katniss said in Mockingjay that the history of the hunger games were told at school. So I imagine this is how they teach it after everything was over
Yes! That's the idea we're going for, although more directed like the Capitol Academy we see on TBOSAS. Though for sure the Capitol would spread the same propaganda in the districts 😜
I remember watching "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" and seeing the epilogue scene. Dean Highbottom told Snow that he tried morphling for the first time when he saw the first kid die in the 1st Annual Hunger Games.
This is SO GOOD. I just finished binging Tales of the Hunger Games by Christian Blanco and had been ITCHING to try and find more hunger game related content. When I clicked on the video and heard that it was hunger game history i KNEWw it was gonna be good. Can't wait for more!!
Thank you so much for the kind comment, it really made me smile! We are just starting the project so you'll be able to follow along as we will explore every year of the games. The next video will come out this weekend! 😊
I feel so bad for the districts! I have never thought of how they were held at gunpoint, and forced to kill each other who had been their allies during the rebellion. It’s fascinating how the districts went from, being forced to kill a gunpoint, to districts 1,2 and 4 being favoured by the capital to literally taking pleasure in mowing down tributes! It’s fascinating!
Your voice is so calming, the video had me feeling sleepy, which feels kind of ironic as you're talking about people dying 🤣 - overall really cool video and storytelling 😊
Thank you so much for the feedback! 💗We have stories ready for all years of the Hunger Games, so we will definitely make more videos (and post more often too)! 😊
Alright, couple of things. Firstly, I did overall enjoy your interpretation of the first games. Loved the capture of the savage side of the first tributes, after all a civil war has just ended, surely at least a few of the older kids were likely soldiers in the war. Especially the peacekeepers shooting at the tributes to get them started. Now for the things I disagree with, the Capitol never kept records of the tributes, nor the victors of the first 9 waves of tributes. This was one of the minor reasons why mentors in the 10th games were encouraged to get as much information as possible, for posterity. Secondly, we know that during the war the Capitol arena was used for executing captured rebels and it was broadcasted so the rebels could see, this is the prime reason why when the rebels surrounded the Capitol in an attempt to starve out the citizens they also bombed the arena in an attempt to take it down, this is why way before the bombing that took place a week before the 10th games the arena was initially described as a “dilapidated” amphitheater. Upon the tributes arrival to the arena it was likely still surrounded by the bodies of the executed seeing that the Capitol cleaning up carnage likely wasn’t a priority, rather gathering supplies, hospitalizing citizens and setting up borders and barriers to protect the city from any further external threats from rebel forces, all of that to say that due to the condition the arena was already in before the games were even signed into law it is very unlikely that citizens came to see the first games, let alone if they’d be allowed to enter it. Lastly, peacekeepers killing children to get the games started is unlikely too considering that despite the war that just happened, they were still children, regardless of the circumstances regular citizens would likely not have the stomach to see such a sight.
Hi! Thank you for the comment. It's interesting to hear other people's interpretation on this since we do not have any official information on the 1st Hunger Games. I agree that the Capitol would not do background checks or try to get to know more about the tributes prior to the 10th Hunger Games - but I disagree that there would be no records on the victors. The games are recorded, even after what happened in the 10th year, Dr. Gaul kept a private copy to herself and destroyed all other evidence. It's true that the arena was used for this purpose - and I agree with not cleaning up bodies immediately during the war, we see that Capitol citizens even resorted to cannibalism during that period and those were likely one of the sources - but that is still just speculation whether they did it in the Capitol Arena or not. We do know that they remove the bodies of the tributes in between games and did so before the 10th (we only know that they do not wash off the blood and such) so I see no reason why removing the rebel's bodies from the arena before the 1st year would be farfetched. (Though, I gotta say that would be a very interesting scenario to explore as well, the tributes getting to see the bodies upon arrival). On the topic of citizens watching the games inside the arena, I personally think that at the very least, the elite and the ones more resentful from the war would have wanted to watch it live. But that's our personal headcanon, which is what we are sharing through these stories anyway. :) I disagree on the Peacekeepers being unlikely to kill children though - it is literally the Hunger Games. They do not see people from the Districts as human beings in the same level as them. We see Peacekeepers shooting some of the tributes on the 10th Hunger Games - I don't see why it would not happen earlier, either. I do agree that some of the Peacekeepers would have morals and hard feelings against shooting children but they are not the ones making the decision, the Department of War is. If they tell them to shoot, they gotta shoot.
@@panemacademysorry but no, in Chapter 9 of the prequel we are literally told the only one locked inside the arena during the games are the tributes and an arsenal of tributes. It’s also described how bad of a condition the arena is in after the bombings it endured during the war. No citizen would be allowed in, I agree it doesn’t say that outright but all context clues point it to that conclusion.
Wow, I came across the channel and couldn't believe the high level of writing and world building! Very much curious to hear more of your stories on the different games ♥

Very nice and my head cannon is that the first games almost all of the tributes volunteered they Tricked them into telling the kids to go to the capital for a better life saying that the capital will be nicer from now on and will show this 22 kids volunteered and it’s because of the selfishness that the capital citizen C so they don’t feel bad about kids being into games
