  • With economic collapse in Afghanistan, the country’s drug trade appears to be booming.
Afghanistan has long been linked with the production of opium and heroin and is also now a major producer of crystal meth.
The Taliban say farmers cannot be banned from producing drugs for now because there are no alternative sources of income for poor families.
Clive Myrie presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Secunder Kermani and cameraman Malik Mudassir.

For most of the late 20th C. the far east ('the Golden Triangle') was the largest supplier of illicit opium (morphine/heroin) to the global market, having *completely coincidentally* boomed there during and after the US invasion of Vietnam. A similar, *also completely coincidental,* boom has been seen in Afghanistan after the US (and UK) invasion and occupation of the region. It had actually been a major producer in the decades after WWII, taking over from Turkey, but this dwindled after the 1979 invasion by the Soviet Union, effectively shut down by both the Soviets and the resisting Mujahideen.

We all know what the CIA was doing in Afghanistan, we all know who controls the global drugs trade, the BBC seems compliant with the CIA, could that have something to do with the enormous bribes we also know the BBC is guilty of accepting from the CIA? The BBC = Accepted enormous bribes from the CIA, to change their own Index on the Russian Federation in 2002.
Udo Ulfkotte was the German who wrote the book exposing the BBC's corruption. In it, he explains the part he played with the CIA, he explains how the bribe was paid, where it was paid, and when it was paid. He shows us the BBC index on Russia, the weekend before the bribe was paid, and he then shows us the BBC index on Russia, a day after the bribe was paid.
The change is so dramatic!, Russia goes from a "new country, a country that's good for Britain, a future very important trading partner of the UK". To a ''corrupted country, led by a corrupt, anti-Western president''. It states how Russia is trying to recreate the former USSR. It explains the transfer of Crimea to the Russian Federation with outright in your face lies, and they're lies that actually go against the BBC's own account of the transfer of Crimea to the Russian Federation. Udo Ulfkotte, proves it, and he proves it with undeniable proof.
The book is banned in the UK today. Udo Ulfkotte, later died in "mysterious circumstances". This is today's reality, and this is the new world, we all now, live in. Well done BBC.
