Just got them on offer up for $160 like new, and bro the anc is insane no white noise just no noise lol they don't really feel premium honestly them feel flimsy, i have the artics 9x gaming headset and that a premium feeling headset anywho they are def the best

Glad to see someone I trust taking a look at these headphones! (and didn't get them early from Sony to review) I had many issues with my AirPods Pro and was able to get them returned even after the 9 months I used them for. Pretty sure I'll pick up these soon to replace them.
These are the kings, you'll Def love them. My first full day out in the real world using them, they are an absolute godsend.

Have enjoyed my M3's for the past 2 years under all conditions, so it was a no brainer to buy the M4's when they came out yesterday.
When a product is as good as these, it's a no Brainer for sure
Hi Luc, I can only give the experience of using the M3's in hot and humid and hot and dry climates - they have worked exceptionally well - the coldest I have used the M3's is 5C so not below freezing. I have used my M3's in the rain (wet) and they still respond well. Now that I have begun using the M4's I can say that the touch (for changing volume and songs) is more accurately responsive than the M3's.

SAME! And I absolutely love mine! But in this day and age the wire is getting in the way a lot. Now I'm just going to use them as my editing headphones, and the Sony's for everything else

Just what I am looking for. My job routine includes deep focus on specific subjects on my computer for which I like to listen to music to help me focus and frequent interruptions from incoming calls which I must take. So I am constantly switching from listening to music to taking calls which is quite painful (hitting pause/play all the time, jacking in my headphones back and forth between my phone and my laptop). Just tried the sound quality (amazing btw) in a retail store. The noise canceling is definitely a feature I appreciate. Looked up for reviews on this product on TH-cam and stumbled on your video: thumbs-up. 10 minutes video straight to the point and getting to witness all the cool features. The split screen showing the app while interacting with the device is really good. I will definitely buy this product.

I'm testing that out and will have my findings in the full review, but my very initial tests show that although it is better than the m3's, it's still not good enough to actually get a solid voice recording or call in. But I'll keep testing ☺️
I will wait just got xm3's a few months ago. I am pleased with comfortable fit, battery life and the fact I can use app to customize sound for all the genres I enjoy.

Wow Just Wow, Sony Finally Did It. You know its a good headset when you just have to buy two pairs, the only other headphone I got twice was the HD650. Not even the QC35, nor the 700 made it to the double list, the XM3 got purchased and those I returned the same day due to crappy sound and that damn annoying cloth touching your ear inside the ear cups. This here, truly is one of the best things of 2020. Good Darn Job Sony! Good Job!

I just upgraded from the XM3 and yes the new features are great. BUT I’m seriously considering returning them due to the bad phone call experience. In the XM3s, whenever I would accept a phone call the headphones would automatically let in ambient sound which was nice so you can hear your voice while talking. In the XM4s, however, the noice canceling makes it impossible to hear your own voice while talking so you have no idea how loud you’re actually talking, it’s like you’re deaf (at least how I would imagine it to be...) IF there is a way to change this please let me know, otherwise I’m definitely returning them :(

My question would be, for myself someone that doesn't have any nice headphones, are these worth the extra price/upgraded features, or is the M3 still a viable option to pick up on sale? Though I would bet these will be on sale within a couple months.
Based off the m3's, they didn't start going on sale until about 2 months before the m4's were announced, so I don't expect these to go on sale anytime soon. That being said, the m3's are still absolutely amazing and the difference between the two is minimal. If you want to get the m3's, you're not missing out on too much, and you'll still have the second best headphones on the market
@@MarcTaraz that's very good to know thank you. I was thinking they'd drop for Black Friday but if the M3 didn't then yes its unlikely these would. Either pair is far more than I would need or use honestly, I just would like a good set for when I'm out walking in the park or doing yard work or at the laundromat. We can all agree they are great! The question is if a person doesn't have XM3's or XM4's... What is the better bang for your buck? XM3 Goes for around 230€ and XM4 is 380€.. That's 65%/150€ more for a slightly better device? Thoughts?
If you don't own either, the m3's are great. The m4s are a nice incremental quality of life uograde, but unless you REALLY need the ability to connect to 2 devices at once, the m3s are amazing. Especially at that price
that 3.5 jack made all the difference in my decision

From my experience the blue LED only blinks when you turn it on and off, no blinking while it's actually in use

I'm aware, there are a couple other niche services as well, but I don't have tidal and I don't know of anyone that does, and the catalog of compatible 360 audio enabled songs are not something that I'd personally listen to, so although it's a really cool feature, it doesn't really affect me

Obviously lol £550 I rather get a cheap planer magnetic probably sounds even better for casual listening lol the question is do I get the el8 titanium clossed back the isues with closs2d back is they degree the sound quality but if you want clear sound quality but vocals that don't sound as realistic that's the problem with being outside you have to listen to mediocre sound quality regardless lol if you want to hear what the artist is get a decent surround sound speaker system instead or buy a personal pair of high quality cans open back
Hey Marc! I’d love to know the quality of bass on these and how different is the bass from the xm3? I did not like the boomy and muddy bass on the last gen. No other reviews mention anything about it yet. The written reviews of it on Google aren’t consistent. Some reviews say the song quality is a massive upgrade while some say that it is more or less the same as the previous ones.

Like I've said in these other comments, I'm going to be working on a comparison video between the two and a full review, so stay tuned for that for the best Results, but my very initial first impressions are that the sounds quality isn't drastically changed. I just sold my mark 3s and pre ordered the 4s. The bigger earcups and auto start stop alone sold me. I'll have to see if multipairing supports ldac for both devices, because I have my phone and digital audio player separately
They arw awesome, the auto start stop is my fav feature. Sadly when you pair 2 devices you lose LDAC, but since I'm on iPhone Im unable to use the LDAC anyway, so it doesn't really affect me, but that's something you might want to consider
@@MarcTaraz yeah I saw that 😒 but that's okay. The start stop and the wider earcups are what I need since I have a big head. I can always disconnect and reconnect so it's not a big deal at all

I have absolutely no idea. I'll have to test this out when I get back to my ps4, but if assume they have the same connectivity as the m3's, so you should Google whether or not those could connect to the ps4

no. u can’t pair these headsets wirelessly to a gaming console because there will be latency cuz it’s bluetooth. gaming headsets have a 2.4GHz connection with little to no latency so. no ones gonna include that on ANC headphones meant to be for other things. if u wanna game plug in the headphone jack. that’s all

Depends on whether or not you want in ear or over ear headphones. Do you like the convenience of apple? Or do you prefer better sound quality and noise canceling in a larger package? That's up to you to decide what works best for you. But I will always take headphones over earphones personally
Marc Taraz Steiner I have beats studio 3 and I’ve had AirPods before but I hated them. They always fell out, no seal or noise cancellation and okay sound. How much better would you say the Sony’s are in noise cancellation? Also, I have an iPhone, an Apple Watch and just got an iPad Pro. So maybe the AirPods would be better? Thanks!

I have not tested with that particular service, but I can tell you that the audio calling quality is definitely better than the m3's

The audio quality is amazing. Def sound better than the bose and the surface headphones its competing against

You shouldn't be in a rush, I'm sure the m3's will stay at that price for a while. I think for most people the m3's are still better and you really can't argue with the price. Unless you absolutely need 2 device connection at the same time and want the other nice lil quality of life uogrades, the m3's are very very similar

Hi Marc, I read a review that the feature that mutes the sound when having a conversation is annoying because when you sing along to the song it mutes. Does the app have an option to turn this feature off?
Yes, in the video thats the feature that I say I'm not going to enable. By default its turned off, but you can turn it on. For some its helpful, but I don't see myself using it

Its up to you! I'll have a full m3 vs m4 video coming out where I go into more detail, but the m4s are a good quality of life update with a couple nice new features, but the m3s still are amazing headphones. If I owned the m3s I personally probably wouldn't uograde, but I know people who owned the m3s and bought this one because they love them.

It uses the same chip as the m3's, but sony have tweaked th algorithms to be a little bit better; and the updated design also helps with passive noise canceling
I found these extremely uncomfortable after about an hour. Felt good for the first 20 mins or so, but I've been unable to wear them for long.

I've had no issues, and I'm in the hot humidity of Hong Kong, but everyone is different, so I can't speak for your ears!

How does phone calls sound to you and the person on the other line when outside?
Been testing this feature, I've found mixed results. When doing voice recordings it doesn't sound good, but voice calls it sounds clear and amazing. So I'm gonna do more testing to make sure ☺️

They do not have any sort of ipx rating, Ill have to test out how they do against the elements, but I'd assume not great in rain, and decent in cold

Lmfao. I've been researching what headphones to get in 2021, as I've been using my HD58X's for years now for my PC setup, but am looking to upgrade to wireless headphones so I can use them for both at home and going places. While seeing a bunch of reviews, this one shines harder than others.

Yes, it most definitely works on android, and arguably is more geared towards android. Those labels on the box are just to show that it works on iPhone
