- My mom got my dad a splendid birthday gift, but she made him work a little for it lol I'm not sure whose reaction was better, my dad's or my brother's XD

Roadside Guy actually 1970 was best engine, no? Didn't serious detuning hit the performance car world starting in '71? Smog equipment, lowered compression, milder cam etc.

Even though the little kid's talking and yelling may have been annoying for some people it shows exactly WHY this guy is a good father! He's patient, he explains, he takes time with them and it shows just why he's a good man and father.

After a while many parents become oblivious to what their kids are doing and they grow accustom to the chaos. It’s like when people bring their kids out in public and they’re going out of control and the parents do nothing because they’re use to it and other people who didn’t sign up for the insanity are impacted because there is no parenting taking place. My Dad was a great Father but he had boundaries and you knew their was a time and a place for everything and you knew everything wasn’t about you.

wonderful gift for a wonderful husband and father, apparently. really touched my heart, and what a sweet ride! i had a 1968 pontiac firebird, 400, 4-barrel, that thing got up and moved. and i was only 16... and i'm a girl... got in some races on our main drag and actually won..lol. such memories. man, those were the days. God bless your family. and the kids are not annoying! they're just kids :). really enjoyed your video.

I know this is 4 years old but Dad you deserve it. Bringing up your Children in the way they should go. A 71 Cuda. I remember wanting one of those when I was 17 glad God never let me have it. He knew I would enjoy one better and safer much latter in life.

Definitely not a stock cam and they didn’t come with headers either. It does sound awesome! I think it’s funny when there is a performance cam in a car and someone says it doesn’t sound like it is running right, no, it is running just fine! What an awesome family and wonderful wife!

this vid reminds me of when my dad retired in 2000. i gave him a 1970 mercury cougar convertable. (351 cid 2v auto) he didnt know what to say either but the look on his face and the gleam in his eye was thanks enough. sadly dad passed away in 2010 but the enjoyment he got from his muscle car made me one happy son. the cougar was given back to me when dad passed away and is still cherished and taken care of . Semper Fidelis dad . i love you

I think it was an amazing Birthday gift. Congratulations, you must be an amazing father to have earned such a car! The children in the video were just being kids, they were unaware of what was going on and then once they found out they were overstimulated with too many sensations to hold back the reaction. For those people who commented on the kids threatening to punch them if they even breathed on the car, I hope you never become parents. I hope my future children will have the chance to drive my Tr6 (It may not be a "Cuda" However it's my realistic dream car that I currently own for being a 25 year-old) I would want them to be able to experience the joy's of this hobby no matter what type of car it is because I would have that kind of love for them, like all good fathers do.

My dad always tells me the same stories about his Cuda! How the blue paint job went from dark royal blue and faded into white and how he drove it on an icy boardwalk down in Ocean City and two tires went off the side.... the races, the fun....If I am able to one day do this for him too, I can die happy....

I almost bought one of those for my first car. I ended up buying a 72 Z-28 for $1800. I was 15 years old I didn’t even have my full driver’s license yet but at the time in Florida you could drive it during the day if an adult ( 18 years or older) was in the car with your learners permit. One of my friends just turned 18. Such great times back then this was in 1980. Damn I wish I still had that car! That Cuda is beautiful though! Good for him!

Of course everybody was a child once, but I even hated other children as a child, they're just annoying and most of the time the parents don't even care when their brats molest other people. So yes, I hate children, however, one thing I hate more are parents who bring their children to places, where they don't belong (e.g. gourmet restaurants), and aren't even able to shut them up.
