On Christmas Day 2011 I gave my dad a new car as a gift. A Honda Jazz. It was one of the most powerful and emotional moments of my life. Luckily he survived to enjoy a year or two with it as he passed away on 10 august 2014.

I'm adopted kid. In a sense I wished I could've bought another rumble seat car for dad. I'm going to try to restore the last family home. I have to take it down to the bones. He passed on father's day in 94. I helped build- remodel a trailer. Took out 3 exterior walls. That was in 1979. It's in a flood zone & hate to sink that kind of money in it but, I can't find another place to live except on that property. I'm living in a trailer next door

My Dad has been in my life for 32 years this April. In fact, he called my mom for their first date on his birthday: April 26th. I found the 1968 Plymouth Road Runner model kit and I will build it for him this Christmas. He said 7 months ago that it was his dream car.

Such a special surprise. You can tell how much they love him and how great of a father he has been all of these years. He’s a special man and to know he stepped up to be a father and raise two children as if they were his own just shows how great of a man he is.
This video made a full grown man cry. This gentlemen reminded me so much of my wife’s grandfather that passed this last year. He was close to me and will always be. I love how he noticed the car from a distance and gave a life experience that was from in his mind. He at the time probably gave this car up for his responsibilities and didn’t question it at the time. The fact that you could genuinely see the love and the appreciation when he realized it was his brought tears to my eyes. This gentlemen’s exactly what we need more of. He deserves this car a thousand times.
I saw it on a different cropped version of this video, but the story I saw is that he sold it to be able to propose to his children's mother, then adopt them soon after. The license plate is YDHT standing for "You Didn't Have To". He loved them so much he took them on as if he didn't know a day without them, and I'm so glad he was able to have this amazing return of that same love and care. I don't even call my mom "step", she's mom through and through. It takes a very special kind of person to love like that, each and every one deserves to be given this piece of beautiful Karma.

You see I had been a father to my sons but I think was not a good dad, and so now I’m reaping what I’ve sown.
Videos like these make me realize where I fell short. This man is a lucky person and dad. He raised his kids the right way. I’m so jealous, it makes me cry.

I grew up in the passenger seat of my Dad's Candy apple red 1975 Corvette Stingray. It now proudly sits in my My Brother's garage, and we take it out for rides. I hope it stays in the family forever

Putting the last of the touches on my dads 1976 corvette I’ve been restoring for the past 3 years. He parked it 82 when my older brother was born and has been sitting since. Seven days until he turns 75 and I can’t wait to see his face

This video made a full grown man cry. This gentlemen reminded me so much of my wife’s grandfather that passed this last year. He was close to me and will always be.
I love how he noticed the car from a distance and gave a life experience that was from in his mind. He at the time probably gave this car up for his responsibilities and didn’t question it at the time. The fact that you could genuinely see the love and the appreciation when he realized it was his brought tears to my eyes.
This gentlemen’s exactly what we need more of. He deserves this car a thousand times.
I saw it on a different cropped version of this video, but the story I saw is that he sold it to be able to propose to his children's mother, then adopt them soon after. The license plate is YDHT standing for "You Didn't Have To".
He loved them so much he took them on as if he didn't know a day without them, and I'm so glad he was able to have this amazing return of that same love and care.
I don't even call my mom "step", she's mom through and through. It takes a very special kind of person to love like that, each and every one deserves to be given this piece of beautiful Karma.

Crying thinking that I never got the chance to give my dad such a wonderful, magnanimous gift, especially when he traded his 66 Mustang for an LTD station wagon when they were expecting my younger brother. My dad never got his mustang, but I vicariously felt how it would have felt to give it to him in this video. Thanks!
