    Hard to comprehend how .25 of an inch (or less!) can make such a difference

    I once rode a Hoffman SD4 with a 19.5 top tube; I was about 6' 1" at the time and it wasn't pretty or comfortable! However, it made flatland tricks easier. Anyone over 6', I'd recommend a 21" top tube given how they're easily available and newer geometry forks have shortened up your wheelbase but I'm sure you can get away with 20.75"/20.8" like I do. I'm currently riding a 20.75" WTP Battleship and 20.8" Colony Premise and while I don't feel squished or hit my knees, I feel like stepping up to a 21" would be benefitting. Got my eyes on a Kriss Kyle BSD Freedom frame kit in 21.1".

    Hey i'm 5 ft 7 and ride 21 inch, do you think it's bad? Cause i think i'm feeling better on 21 rather on 20.5, i only can do 180 or 360 if there's banks or fly out. Would smaller frame help me with that? I feel a lot more control with 21 frame. I used to using dirt jump mtb bike does it effect why i feel comfortable with 21 inch frame?

    5'5" and I'm riding a 20.3" for street and park and I like it a lot. I have a 20.75" with trail geometry and I hate it for street but it's not bad for trails.

      Same height and I ride a 20.5 but I feel super cramped for some reason, I'm thinking of switching to 20.75 just try it out

    • @UnitNo.2
      @UnitNo.2 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @emanthegman9511 my 20.3 does feel pretty cramped. My 20.75 probably would be a better fit if I ran a smaller than 55mm reach stem and maybe even a tighter front offset than 32mm. It also has a pretty big chain stay length but all those feel pretty good on the trails but is horrible for park or street at my size.

    • @UnitNo.2
      @UnitNo.2 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @emanthegman9511 my 20.3 has a 48mm reach stem which I love and 24mm front wheel offset which is really nice feeling even on the trails.

      Free coaster or cassette is all about how you like to ride and what you enjoy more. For which bike is best for you? Doug has a form that you fill out with your hight, riding style, and budget. He receives your answers and suggests three good bike choices for you. You can find it on his website or in the TH-cam description for his bike review videos. Hope that helped!

    I am 5’11” or 6’0”. Should I go with a 21 or a 20.75? I am broke and a vey new rider so I can’t afford to buy the wrong bike. Would bigger be better? I bought a snowboard a while back and I got the bigger option and I feel like I should have gone with the smaller one. I don’t want a repeat of that so some advice would be great. Looking to do street and park possibly venturing into dirt once I’m confident enough.

    Im 5'7", bought a 21", thats what i could find on stock only... but i feel like its too big. I did not think that a half inch would matter that much. I hope i can sell it and switch. Im looking at the total k4 killabee. Im thinking about getting the 20.4 one. Or should i go for the 20.7? Any tips would be appreciated

    • @ariantafti4341
      @ariantafti4341 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      both will work for your height just the 20.4 will be more responsive and the 20.7 will be more stabke

    • @kirkwickham3336
      @kirkwickham3336 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you feel like you are still going to grow some more, I'd go with the 20.75", otherwise stick to the 20.4 if you like the responsiveness and aren't feeling cramped.

    • @ariantafti4341

      u gotta practice levelling the bike out in the air with a mix of tucking the bike so high into your knees so the seat hits your butt and kinda like pushing the bike forward with you arms if that makes sense

      I made a huge online course with tons of different how to videos and more. The course isn’t free but the bunnyhop section is! Check it out learn.schoolofbikes.com/courses/bike-school/lectures/30016487

    • @kirkwickham3336

      Practice bunnyhopping objects rather than just air. Also, maybe try to increase your strength? Do some push-ups each morning and increase the amount you do each week. Bunnyhopping is mainly technique but extra strength will also help you. I tell all the local kids to do push-ups and over a series of months, they agreed it helps with a variety of their riding. Though, they all complained about having sore arms for the first 3 weeks, lol. Remember, with BMX, you get out what you put in!
