For me it's when Mr Yin says "Well, the slideshow was a big pile of crap". Don't know why, just the way he says it never fails to make me laugh.
For me, it's when Mrs. Doyle falls down the stairs and then jumps up to say she's been cured.

This is definitely my favourite Fr. Ted episode. As an Asian guy I would love to go to a Fr Ted convention wearing a lamp shade just like the one used in this episode,
I lived in China for years, and I once showed this episode to a girlfriend from Hu Bei. She laughed harder than anyone I've ever watched it with.

I'm in the US and am here after watching Taskmaster. I didn't know who Ardal was and thought I'd check this out. Holy moly is this ever hysterical comedy!!!! I definitely need to watch more of Father Ted. The window scene was outrageous, but then the entire episode was too!

I like that they did the effort to actually hire a German actor for the part of the old dude, not someone with a fake German accent.

German actor who played the German Theater, getting asked to play an Old Nazi in an Irish sitcom "MEIN TAG IST GEKOMMEN."
I hadnt seen this episode in years. Had me crying from laughing so hard. This had to be the best episode of the series. "You put the cyanide pills next to the valuum!"
His impression of Hitler hand movements during his speeches is spot on. Dermot Morgan is a great actor.

I love how his actions in the house are different than the perspective of his visitors.
This and Kicking Bishop Brennan Up The Arse are my two favorite episodes. What's funny is with how long Ted was living on Craggy Island you'd think he'd have known about a Chinatown on the island.
I figure the Chinatown formed while he was away, since he doesn't even seem to know anyones names (while Dougal can easily identify exactly what family it was). It's absurd, but about as much sense as him simply never knowing about them.
The picture of Father Ted with the random black guy to prove his lack of racism makes me LOL every single time

Dougal
The writing on this show in general was excellent, but in this episode it is just phenomenal. Every single joke is hilarious on its own, but they all tie in with each other and lead onto other ones. Layers of jokes develop as the episode progresses and they become funnier and funnier as they combine.
There are very, very few throwaway gags, almost each one leads into another or plays a part in advancing the plot. They manage to do all this while also being edgy (poking fun with racism, Nazis, swastikas) while using it through the lens of Ted's hapless/bumbling nature to make it not actually offensive, and it makes the whole episode timeless, as relevant and funny now as it was when it came out. An absolute masterpiece of comedy writing.
Alas, they will never show this episode again because it will offend all the SJW's....

He's reading it because it's archaic and no longer applies, not because he believes it. Basically he's reading what people *used to* believe in order to put into context how much better church teachings are in the present.

Its hard to say this because father ted is such a likable guy and the show he's in is so well written....but he's basically a selfish embezzler. Though I think he has some redeeming qualities

Jokes aside, I don't think Ted is selfish. He's somewhat quick to annoy, and it's very clear the residents of Craggy Island get on his nerves, but given how they seem to act (not to mention how his house-mates act), can we really blame him? Remember, when Ted's around people more to his liking, for example with the priests in Dublin, and thus not constantly annoyed, he's a far nicer person and even seems to be largely liked by his contemporaries.
