We got married in California and a week later we were at my Duty Station at Fort Polk LA. Put the ring in a box and get a silicone one. I ground off all the design on mine in a few years. Now it just looks like a gold band. 👍

So glad you are going to do what is the most fun to watch, and you do so well... building or rebuilding floating houses, love it when a plan comes together! I may have to come that way more often to watch from the water.
We will be in Fontana village early October and renting a pontoon to cruise the lake, and fly the drone, hopefully finding some tree colors to photograph. Does the marina have any food items or drinks, or is it BYO stuff.

Brandon, I've been married a little over a decade now, and I still find myself twisting my wedding ring from time to time. I does now feel normal to wear it tho. The times when it's smart to actually take it off, like when welding (yes I have forgotten, don't do that man, you can burn your ring to your finger!), you sort of feel like a bit of you is missing.....

And I'm serious. My wife and I are "hopefully" financially ready for a second home and want it on the lake. I grew up third oldest in a family of ten kids in haywood county. Vacationed every summer at Tsali. Have many wonderful memories of Fontana. Have dreamed of having a place there my whole life. Would be available for videos if you want to consider a coordinated build for a disabled veteran.
