I like the first Terminator the most of all. It's much more scarier and grittier than the other ones. Especially given that in the first Terminator they don't have machines or cyborgs to help them. That ending scene is really something.
The Terminator movies are similar to the Alien movies. The first one is overlooked, despite being the superior installments. I mean The Terminator and it’s sequel are neck and neck unlike Alien and Aliens, but I think they need more recognition. Also James Cameron has evolved as a filmmaker. He doesn’t need to make the same low budget story over and over again, despite how mediocre the Avatar movies are.
