@@MatthewMoniz I do agree that right CTRL was pretty useless, but why the Copilot key? It's incredibly under baked compared to ChatGPT and Gemini, to the point where the extra steps to access the more powerfuls AIs are easily worth it. Lenovo should've just made it a non-third party rebindable key.
@@ctrl_x1770 While I would just say if you won't use it and it's not necessary to, why bother complaining? On the other hand, the rebindable key would be really smart, I give you that.

Hey Matthew. Why are there no real reviews of the new Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 9 (2024)? Its already been release in some countries, but not much have been heard about it so far online. Is there a Review embargo on it? When can we expect you to get to it?
No review embargo. I just haven't requested one to review. Most of the laptops coming out are identical to last years model minus the slight CPU change which is pretty much the same as last year. I think most reviewers are just not reviewing them because there is no point.
You can see by the price that it is not really an upgrade and that it is a sideways edition for 2024, a stop gap as the new architecture chips are not ready yet. I would say to anyone that does not need to upgrade at the moment that giving 2024 Windows laptops a miss will be a good sensible decision. Wait for the next-gen AMD, Intel Core Ultra, and Snapdragon X Elite.
I hate that they artifically crippled mid tier Legion 5 compared to higher 5 PRO and lower LOQ. Legion 5 this year has worst placed ports, absolutely worst design for no reason etc.
Got the exact same and its my first laptop and its good. I can play valorent at like 300-500 fps. Display is nice too after changing to colour to 70% saturation using the intel control app. Only complain is that the battery life is like 2 to 3 hrs only and the speakers are quite bad but usable. Also there's no dolby atmos. The rgb lighting was buggy initially but i think the software update fixed it and now it works very smoothly, the rgb lighting is bright and vibrant but its brighter when the ac is not plugged for some reason. The build of it also feels slick and quite premium. But the battery life issue is the main problem for me currently but i see that its a common problem among most gaming laptops. But for gaming its smooth and home use its very nice. The feature app is also very useful.
I fraking hate copilot or whatever name they give it, key on the keyboard. HATE IT. I hope there is a way to disable it. Even though yes I am not going to buy one. Interesting laptop, though as usual the Intel GPU is the gift that keeps on giving (lol). I agree with you, better get the other model.

Im thinking of buying a lenovo loq and has everything i want, which is hard to find for 999usd (4060 graphs, 13th gen, 16ram ddr5, 144hz) but im having a hard time because it only has 45% ntsc... I actually already bought it, but because of this i might cancel the order.
I'm an architectural student looking to get this. I'll be doing 3d renderings/works with it along with some light gaming. Apps I'll be using would be 3amax, sketchup, enscape, autocad, lumion. Is it true about the motherboard issues? Will the i5-12450HX 12GB DDR5 512GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB have the same issue?
yes dont buy loq
Wait I thought it had RTX 2050?
is the Intel Arc A530M laptop vs rtx 4050 laptop. which one is better in fps
The rtx one as always
I got this same laptop , but customised it with Rtx 3050 6gb gpu. Cost me 63.5k rupees(762usd,😢taxes) .only issue is the battery life is average
You never game on a gaming laptop without the charger. I honestly don't understand why people even mention the battery life, it's not a notebook.
Same from India too but it's a beast
Is 3050 sufficient to play game?
@@calphak7389 It's not great for laptop. Maybe expect 50-60fps average on lower settings on more demanding games.
@@exitoz1396 i currently have Geforce MX250. Is 3050 or even 2050 better than MX250?
Does it's perfect for creators who use Photoshop premiere pro, after effects, illustrator a lot
And also please tell and suggest me that it hang or lang in usage or not
Pls tell me it's having any lag or hang issue or not
And its compatible for gamers and creators
I'm using this laptop for a few days now. Yes it works well with Adobe just upgrade your RAM to 16GB and add another SSD base model is just 512GB
How I Know the laptop is best one
What's the weight?
5.3 pounds
What's the tgp of loq version of Intel 12450hx with 4060 one??
115 bro
@@jashw1292 do you have the varient
But in Lenovo psref site ,it shows 105w🙂
And is windows 10 is good one
When the Lenovo legion 7 2024 review coming out?
I dunno still contemplating on whether its worth reviewing it. Not much has changed
I have the same laptop, but no copilot key ... just old ctrl
I am about to buy the i5 12450H with rtx 3050 6gb Lenovo LOQ. Will it have this dead motherboard issue?
no
Im really confused if I should be getting a tuf series laptop.😮
The tuf models are better
tuf has better build quality.
I got mine with a ryzen 5 7000 and a 3050 and it's been great for gaming
Is it still working and is the motherboard fine
Hey mathew i recently purchased loq with i5 12th gen and rtx 2050 it's good than any laptop
Can it run any of the latest games smoothly
@@SlaveOfAllah1000 not really. maybe on low settings.
@@zenpy_what low setting ?
@@shaunaktari12 the uploader made a comment saying that this laptop could run any AAA titles at max settings. He deleted this comment.
I use the LOQ laptop but the GPU I'm using is RTX 2050 and the game performance was good for entry level of gaming. Like the honest review because I almost take the intel GPU and luckily I don't take it
i’m thinking of getting one with the relatively same specs as you, how’s the gaming experience?
the arc gpu driver has received extremlely good optimization updates now, it beats the rtx 2050 and is on par with the 3050 on dx12 games and some dx11 games tho older games would run better on nvidia since intel hasnt tackled much yet
I wonder what loq even stands for🤔
Low Overall Quality 😂😅
excelente la compré por 885.79 USD en walmart rtx 4050 512 gb ssd. 8gb RAM DDR5, AMD Ryzen 7-7840HS

Which one did you pick?
This lap top has given me stress it only takes an Ethernet cable. It had zero wireless connection.
Thanks for video, but it’s sad that I ordered this today before I watched to this video. I took it for codding actually what do you think I will be regret?
Nope.
The best tech reviewer.
Thanks for watching!
The legion slim 5 2023 was on sale for 900$ most of the time since black friday
Which would be the best dollar for performance ratio
Problem is thats only in USA for the rest of us the prices are alot higher
i have the ir8h one its the last year one with the 3050 6gb and 8gb of ram it works good put in a second ssd for more storage i like the last year model more it seems better the new one seems cheaper built
Why are people reviewing the intel Arc variant of this laptop, like it's a legitimate option that customers will be considering?
Exactly. RTX 2050 which is the next cheapest option and sometimes same price as ARC option is waay better.
Agreed you shouldn't be buying this for gaming, period.
Well I used it. With 32GB RAM. It's not bad.
I got the same CPU loq but a 3050
Get the Nvidia version with 3050 6 gb they're relatively the same price
Intel is still new let them adjust the tech for another 2 years before considering buying it
nah if you're gonna buy the rtx 3050 6gb, go for the 4050 6gb instead, because of it's power efficiency, dlss, fg, and more power proof capability than the rtx 3050, it's not that much more expensive than the 3050
@@Meow-Meoooww sure, I recommended the 3050 because it's cheaper and the jump from Arc to 4050 is a bit high
i have last years slim 7 ryzen 7 7840hs rtx 4060, While im impressed with it im still having issues with the laptop freezing every now and then (with 32 gb ram) and problems with the laptop not powering on correctly from sleep/off. Ive spoken with lenovo support and theyve tried to fix it 3 times but it still comes up. Really embarrassing for lenovo as this is their top of the line gaming laptop
I feel like the copilot key single-handedly lowered the value of the laptop.
Really? I mean i use it ALOT more than the CTRL key. Im sure you'll be able to rebind it with third party software
@@iuhshwth1634 To be honest, I was just joking with my original comment about how useless copilot is.. I don't actually care too much about the copilot button. My bad though jokes don't carry too well over text
Guys please help me for this acer nitro 5 i9 12gen or Lenovo loq i7hx??
*Both have the same graphics card rtx4060 8GB
Get this one it can run all games a ps5 can
Go for lenovo but not hx mobo loq issues mostly are hx models and acers are meh most people who use warranty or fix their laptops are acers
Hey Matthew.
Why are there no real reviews of the new Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 9 (2024)?
Its already been release in some countries, but not much have been heard about it so far online. Is there a Review embargo on it?
When can we expect you to get to it?
The differences over last year's model aren't very meaningful, I guess that's why reviewers aren't that interested
You said you won't review many Windows laptops since it's only a cpu upgrade. Sorta like the Mac Book Air. 😊
Is the the LOQ (16" AMD) with RTX 4050 the same or worse?
I think same
watching in lenevo loq 2024
fyi loq 15 i7 rtx 4060 just came out
i literally have the same pc but with a 4050 rtx GPU and a i5 12450H CPU
I also have 24Go of ram for 650€
The reference is Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9
For ne, it's just not worth getting the cheapest of gaming laptops. It's gotta be at least an asus g14, legion 5 slim/legion 7, etc.
"Matthew Moniz" your all reviews are awesome
I hate that they artifically crippled mid tier Legion 5 compared to higher 5 PRO and lower LOQ.
Legion 5 this year has worst placed ports, absolutely worst design for no reason etc.
why is bro comparing a arc 530m to an rtx 4070 💀
I just got the LENOVO LOQ 15APH8 15.6" Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen™ 7, RTX 4060, 1 TB SSD
Not tried it out yet..but hopefully it will be decent
So how was it....?
Bro did you face any issues with it
How is it and is the motherboard fine
can u pls compare it with the old version with rtx3050
Did you find an answer? Is 3050 enough to play games?
So with arc a530 this notebook is perfect dedicated streaming pc?
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
Lenogo Go or this...
When are you going to review one of the Kreative Devices laptops?
I've been waiting for that too
I fraking hate copilot or whatever name they give it, key on the keyboard. HATE IT. I hope there is a way to disable it. Even though yes I am not going to buy one.
Interesting laptop, though as usual the Intel GPU is the gift that keeps on giving (lol).
I agree with you, better get the other model.
i got the intel arc one model with fully upgraded and student discount
Any update on your device planning to buy one
Do you think good sRGB is a must for a gaming pc? Im thinking of buying a lenovo loq and has everything i want, which is hard to find for 999usd (4060 graphs, 13th gen, 16ram ddr5, 144hz) but im having a hard time because it only has 45% ntsc...
