Part of what makes being a morning person so wonderful(the peace, the coffee , the time with Our Lord, the morning chorus of the birds) is that most other people are still asleep!
I hope you read the comments because I just love you all so much! Think you're absolutely wonderful and clearly so many other people do too. Love you very much. All of your advice is so spot on and so greatly appreciated. You help us all so much! You make me a little bit smarter in ways that are important!😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I used to hate mornings. But these days, I get up early to make sure I have more than enough time to sip coffee over the daily readings, listen to lauds and most importantly, pray the rosary. Scripture, rosary… and coffee haha are the foundation of my day.
"Morning" is a slippery idea. I'm in Pittsburgh, which is grey and cloudy and rainy a lot, and Winter is forever. There's no Sunrise too often...and in Winter it's like 7.30 AM? What is Morning? When is Morning? I tend to sleep in the evening till Midnight or so. Then wake up for a couple of hours. For some reason TH-cam brought me the 6.30 AM Mass in Accra, Ghana - it's 2.30 AM here - and I've found this Parish to be 'my' Parish, a couple of wonderful Priests and fine Congregation. So almost every morning, I attend Mass in Accra (St. James Church) and go back to sleep. (There's another fine Church in Accra that's online - St. Thomas Aquinas - but their Mass is at the same time. So I attend St. James.) TH-cam is wonderful.
You can also hack your chronotype, if you’re a night owl, by getting 10-15 minutes of morning sunlight within an hour (not through a window) and that’ll reset your circadian rhythm to want to go to bed earlier, wake earlier but also improves overall mental health and mood.
I was always a night owl and have never been a morning person. I still struggle to get going in the mornings, even when I go to bed early. I’m very introverted.
When youtube recommend this video and you also just received the book Solid Virtue by Rev. Father Bellécius SJ and open it randomly to the chapter "Sloth in Rising in the Morning is a Sin", you have to start waking up earlier.
i blame Honey Nut Cheerios and Frosted Flakes as our first... serial adulterers. Let's get back to basics, Folks: grape-nuts! Neither grape Nor nut, it will return mornings back to solemn rumination, where you ask repeatedly, "what exactly am i eating?" or, "what did you say, again? I am eating grape-nuts; can't hear a damned thing. By the way, what Are these?"

Not that we don’t love the other people, it’s just nice to have that alone time.

Pre-game banter never disappoints.
I love my morning time of praying the morning office and drinking coffee before the kids get up.
Best part of the day.

26:02 What does Fr. Gregory mean when he says "provided we don't despair of the practice in some narrow time frame"?
Grits?
Absolutely not!
