I bought mine in Apr 2021 and have 9.5k miles on it….. Had a indicator issue from the start and after 2 to 3 attempts they changed the switch gear but i still have that issue which keeps happening where the Indicator doesn’t work from time to time. The recent one is center stand has come of the hinges and i have never used the bike offroad or had a fall. Try the GS, i had it before and exchanged for this bike, never had to go to the workshop besides service. The V4s is fantastic but needs to be more reliable.

Hi Rembo. Thanks for the posting. Sorry about the gremlins.
Being that the center dash wasn't coming up as quickly as before tells me that the Ducati's initializations aren't completing. It would be nice to see what codes the bike is throwing. My guess is that one or several sensors aren't being found. That could be the sensors or the harness itself and the harness must have been disturbed when that pulled the front end apart for crash repair.
    My 2-cents.
On another note, I was all set to pick up a red '21 Multi with a great discount, but when I got to the dealership to pick up the bike it turned out to be a grey one. Well, at that price you should get what you wanted so I had to pass on it. The dealer apologized for the inventory mix up. No biggie as I have been friends with this dealership for at least 30 years.
I ended up not buying a red '22 as I could not get the same great deal as I was going to get on the '21. I ended up buying a Yamaha Tracer 900 GT (red) instead. Not the Multi, but a butt load cheaper and it does it's job very well.
Thanks again for your review videos as they got me off the fence to try out the newer Multi.

GS or 2022 S1000XR . Ducati looks great, but your experience has changed my mind. Imagine u out on a trail and it won't start, leave you to overnight!
Ducati claim they a premium product and their bikes are very expensive, and this is what u get. Never had an issue with my current S1000XR and always incredible service from BMW.

    Interesting to hear...
Got my 2022 v4s stored in the garage, waiting to get its plates monunted when the snow disappears in a few months (Norway).
But, did you say the bike has got a two year warranty?
    I believe it's 4 from Ducati...?
In Norway, all bikes have a 5 year warranty.
    Just have to add:
I don't feel "connected" to any brand, but have had 5 BMW 1200 / 1250 GS/GSA's, simply because i find them to be great bikes.
All though i have not ridden my v4s yet, i have spent some time "inspecting" it.
Must say, my general impression is that the Multi is not quite up there with the GS when it comes to fit & finish / build quality.
At least, it doesn't seem like it.
I find it interesting to study things up close, and just by looking at some of the wiring on the Multi, i can see a difference from the GS.
For example, on the Duc i will come across loose ends of insulation tape wrapped around electrical connectors.
Doesn't have to mean anything, but i just can't remember making discoveries like that on any of the GS's.
I have also found some bits of plastic here and there that seems a bit fragile.
Also, the issue with the losse spring on the center stand, potentially causing the bike to stall, just doesn't seem like something that would occur on a GS...?
    Maybe i'm wrong.
But, i'm not judging the bike based on this, and i remember from the testride this summer that it was a fantastic bike.
    I bought one, after all.
But, having owned the first gen. Multi also (2007 Multistrada 1000 S), i really hope Ducati have stepped up the game when it comes to electrical issues. 🙈😉

I had picked up my bike after the engine was replaced during the recall campaign, tech said he did not take it for longer test ride due to lack of gear - was a below 10 Celsius I think. Went for a ride, check engine light came on and bike stalled at traffic lights - cause: Sensor not plugged in correctly. I think it may have been a MAP sensor, luckily addressed right away that Friday afternoon. Hopefully your issue with the MS is something just as simple.

The 'jumpy' surging, I've felt twice before on mine (5k), usually around 4-4.5k revs, when I've filled up somewhere remote of where I live and picked up some dirty fuel, blocking the injectors. As you felt that prior to it not wanting to start, it could be fuel starvation, either from a blocked injector or possibly a partial fuel line kink when they reassembled it post-accident. Maybe the breather pipe has come off beneath the central tank plastic, but doubt that would affect it. There are six of us that ride MTS V4S's, and one has done about 25k now, and none of us have any problems, so I'm sure it's an isolated incident, but must be really annoying with your recent downtime, and the lack of recovery vehicle. My bike was bought in the summer and is a '22. It was a surprise to me too, but I think they just saw that as an easy cut-off to implement the active cruise and blindspot as standard - the price went up $2k to compensate. I'm sure the '23's will probably come in at a more reasonable date like Dec or after EICMA.

The people who get wined and dinned on the press releases to ride brand new bikes for free without having to buy them with their own money that's who .Check out customer satisfaction and reliability tables for the facts. Why is it most these so called premium brands run constantly at the bottom and even the dealers advise that you always keep them in some sort of warranty. Bikes get sold to customers and then have engines changed --- how bad is that !!! R and D ??? Good luck and get rid and ride safe

This is when I reached out to Ducati North America and this is where everything changed for me. DNA was more than interested in working on the bike and guided the local service center, working with them directly to fix the problems. The stalling issue was an issue with a throttle body adjustment and the starting issue was an issue with the switch assembly on the left side handlebars. After those two items were fixed, the bike was phenomenal 100% of the time.

There are six of us with MTS V4S's, one has covered 25k, and none of us have any problems, except I've experienced throttle surging a couple of times when I've been off the beaten track and picked up some dirty fuel. This should translate into better dealership experience with sales, parts/accessories, warranty/ repairs and required maintenance. Some additional cost can be monetary exchange rates.
