    In this video I show you how to create a simple Velux style roof window and then a more advanced version but with the window open.
    Download Sweet Home 3D from
    seanwasere.com/download-sweet...
    You will also need to use blender for the more advanced version of the model I create in this video.
    The model I created in this video is now available in a library I put on my GitHub at
    github.com/Sean-Bradley/SeanW...

    Hi!! I am having issues applying that import technique simply because there is a shadow attached to the obeject... so you see the sloped roof (or wall) but then there a cornering dark triangle on the edge that seems to be a shadow in 3D view.. However, when I move around it goes away, so its only in the front pespective of the dwelling.

    Hello can i add Auocad 3d objects (.dwg) to home sweet 3d ? maybe using blender to export/import the objects?

    • @sbcode
      @sbcode  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sh3d supports OBJ in the furniture import, so if autocad can export to that format, or maybe some other program can convert for you. You may also have a scaling issue where your model is either 10 times larger or smaller. You will need to experiment.

      i just discovered that if you export to .3ds with autocad then you can import it as furniture in sweet home 3d !! :D cool! and it etects it just as any furniture! this changed everything for good :D. try it!

      now i am trying to make a triangular hole in a wall, its a triangle open door pass. but i dont know how to make that kind of holes in walls. also it would be awesome if you make a tutorial on how to make balconies and decks. :)
      i did some using the room floor tool making each wood with it.

    how can I make a best render with sweethome 3D as Vray render?

    • @sbcode
      @sbcode  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      in SH3D, export model as obj, then import model into blender or other program that includes the vray plugin

    How to create opacity wall settings?

      I forget. I think you can click in the 3d view to get the properties that you can change. Or you have to edit the material used by the wall, by right clicking it in the 2d view, and getting its properties. Whatever the answer is, you need to right click something and see what happens.

    Hallo, das Video ist toll, aber ich bin neu auf Blender und habe das Programm wegen diesem Video downgeloadet, aber leider kann man in dem Video nicht wie sonst sehen wo man welchen Button anklickt um dorthin zu kommen wie in der Erklärung. Wäre es möglich, das nochmals zu erklären wo man genau in welches Menü klicken muss? Außerdem ist meine Ansicht anders als hier. :( und ich weiss nicht wie ich zu dieser Ansicht wieder komme. Danke

      in the video, I used Blender 2.77. Blender is now at 2.82. The UI after 2.8 is very different so maybe you want to install blender 2.7x. Also, blender is very hard for beginners. I say which buttons I am pressing in the video, but you will need to spend a lot of time getting used to it in your own time. It is really good though, once you get used to it. The keyboard is used as much as the mouse in blender.
