Sweet video! I was at the first few ROSSA events that the founder hosted himself before moving away from the world of RC, it's not shown but I was the cannon fodder that used to prep the Black Knight rocket car for the speed runs while A. J Lovering was running up the control tower. Good times

Noah’s Mum was there on day one… and his dad for the rest of the weekend.
I had two helpings of nothing this morning but those breakfast chicken biscuits are just so nothing good. Loved seeing the speed runs. This hobby is so amazing. Even though I only do rock crawling I enjoy it all aspects.

I forgot the power lead for my big power station. Lucky it’s just a standard 3 pin one. So manage to borrow one in day 2 to recharge it

I really want to try and have a run at Rossa with my 4tec 2.0 since even though it wasn’t my plan I have overpowered it too much for what it’s made for. Here are my 4tec 2.0 specs
Motor: Onyx 4000kv 4 pole brushless motor (will be replaced for a 6500kv spektrum drag/speed-run motor)
ESC: Onyx 80 amp 2-3s brushless speed controller (will be replaced by the ESC that comes with the spektrum motor (100 amp drag/speed-run 2-3s ESC)
Radio: Traxxas TQI with the wireless Bluetooth module for the “Link” app
Gearing: Protek 31T pinion, HR 62T spur = 2.0 gear ratio
Body: Ford GT
Tires: LOS43039 (rear), LOS43038 (front)
Battery: Gens Ace 5300Mah 2s Lipo (3s doesn’t fit the 4tec)
And no it doesn’t overheat at all

@@TomleyRC I’ve yet to speed-run it but yes it looks as fast as it sounds when running, only thing I struggled with was traction but with the new losi wheels and tires that’s not a problem anymore. If the new motor is too powerful for rubber tires I’ll go for foam tires
This is essentially Bonneville Speed Week in miniature. A lot of the hot rodders would love this.

Really enjoyed this video a real eye opener into how fast you can get RC cars to go, I loved that there was a good mix of cars like the lunch box,looked like a fantastic event with a cracking bunch of people can't wait to see how well you did. Loving your work Phil 👊

I did not realise there was such a wide range of cars at this event, so anyone can turn up with any car and just give it a go see what happens just enjoy it.... all i need you to do now is recommend a good base car to start with and a some advice on things to focus on and maybe one day we can all give it ago... 👍👍👍👍👍
Yes, there are some rules. But pretty much as long as it’s RC… it can run 👌
It's kind of like the salt flats here I American. You're just trying to do your best, be fast , have fun, & be safe about it. I would love to see one held here in the States.

It looked like. great event under some not ideal weather conditions. It appeared people were very supportive of each other. People like yourself put a great deal of planning and effort into preparing their cars. It is a very enjoyable video. I am looking forward to more coverage.

Make sure you locking down your end points so the car only has 10% steering. If you leave it normal. when going fast even the smallest input is dangerous.
Yes.. all end points, D/R & Expo were set to have a very small amount of steering

Even though the weather looked shitty, it seemed like a fun gathering. This makes me want to seek out a club or organization that runs something this and try it out. 5:58 Lol 4 hrs across country. Sometimes i forget that the US is so expansive. 4hrs would get me to the next state, and I live in. New Jersey. (One of the smaller states).

Nothing like a beautiful English summers day ha. This should be held in South East Asia where is 30 degrees Celsius everyday and if it rain in 30 minutes its dry ready to rip.

The red sausage car I don’t know but if you know history they tried putting multiple engines on drag cars and it was counter productive as it adds power yes but it adds weight as well eventually you’re seeing how fast you can make a tank. .🤔🍕👍🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
