    I am enjoying your videos so much. Years ago I had a snow globe that my children loved. It was in sad shape and when I tried to find out how to repair it there was no information available. I kept it for years hoping to eventually be able to fix it. It did not survive our move to Tennessee. I found the same globe online and bought one for each of my children. How wonderful to know when these globes need revamping I can do it, thanks to you. Your channel is informative and fascinating. Thank you!

    Where do you purchase your replacement stoppers

    • @snowgloberescue8887

      We get all of our replacement stoppers by disassembling other snow globes that we use for parts. We have not been able to find a company that sells just stoppers. We found companies that sell replacement globes that come with stoppers but not the stoppers themselves. Check out Alibaba.com, there are some other sites as well. You will have to buy a globe to get the stopper but if you check out the thrift stores or flea market you may find an old used snow globe with the same size globe that you can get cheap and then reuse that stopper.

    Have you ever done a mini snow globe with a solid base with the glass broken?

    • @snowgloberescue8887
      @snowgloberescue8887  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, in Episode 20 we repair one that has a crack in the globe. If you are talking about a globe that is totally broken then we do not have a video for that, however, it is the same procedure. You heat it up and pull the remaining glass and stopper out. Check out Episode 40 for general mini snow globe repair tips.

    What size is your syringe and where did you get it?

    • @snowgloberescue8887
      @snowgloberescue8887  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The entire syringe is about 9" long. The needle is about 3". We found it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. They also have a smaller one. They are basically like the turkey marinating syringes that you can buy at the grocery store except that these do not have the holes in the sides of the needle. You don't want the one with the holes on the sides. If you are interested you can check out Episode 3 where we discuss the tools and material that we use.

    You left air bubble ;-)

      Yeah. Sometimes not matter how hard you try you get an air bubble in there. This video was early on in our snow globe repair journey. In our later videos we use the underwater method instead of the syringe to remove the air bubble. I works much better.
