Thank the lord for this video because my mom was upset when her one precious moments snow globe started leaking and I couldn't find a replacement. Granted, I'm pretty sure there's no way I can fix or find a replacement music box, but at least we can try to salvage the snow globe.
We are happy that we could help. We are sure you will get that snow globe looking new again. On the music box, you may be able to fix it depending on what is wrong with it. You could also find a used snow globe at the thrift store, garage sale, or flea market that has the correct song or a tune that you like. You can take the music box mechanism out of it to fix yours. You can also order a replacement music box. We have links in the video description to several online companies that may be able to help. Take a look at Episodes 51 or 157 as a couple of examples and see if they answer any questions about the music box mechanism.
thank you for this, my daughter dropped and broke the glass on her brand new souvenir snow globe from the Tennessee aquarium and she was so upset. I'm going to try to repair it soon!
Hi. By ceramic piece do you mean the figurine? If so, we use Zap-A-Gap to attach the figurines to the stopper. You can also use Gorilla Glue or Super Glue. We have used both in the past and those globes are still good years later. We use Zap-A-Gap because National ArtCraft recommended it for attaching figurines to stoppers. It works well.
Yes. What is weird is that we have about 400+ snow globes that primarily had previous owners. Occasionally I wake up in the middle of the night around 2am +/- to use the rest room and on my way back to the bedroom I'll hear a music box playing. I walk into the living room towards the sound and when I get the the bookcase that the sound is coming from it stops. I still don't know which one it is. We also have one that is battery powered and at one point it turned itself on at around 6:00pm every evening for about 5 days then never happened again. Haven't been able to figure that one out either.
@@snowgloberescue8887 that is amazing!! I see how much my daughter loves the snow globe she found that was given to me when I was in high school. Maybe someday when I leave this life, I'll be able to occasionally get it to play for her so she knows I'm still cognizant of her and miss her. That's a beautiful thought.
We have tried but have not found a supplier for just the rubber stoppers. There are links in the video description to companies that sell snow globe parts, however, to get a stopper you have to buy a replacement glass globe. They come as a set, they don't sell either on its own. You can try what we do. We have old used snow globes that we use for parts. See if you can find and inexpensive used snow globe of the same size in a thrift store, garage sale, or flea market that is in good shape and use the stopper from it. Good luck!
You are welcome. Glad we could help. We have done some painting. We use Testors model paint. You can get it at the hardware store or any craft store. We have videos, Episode 17 - Santa's Living Room for example, where we have to repaint a good bit of the figurine. We repaired that one almost two years again and it still looks good so we can say by experience that the Testors paint holds up in the snow globe water over time.
We use the Testors enamel model paint for figurines. We have not experienced any issues. We have a couple of videos where we show that. Try Episode 17 - Santa's Livingroom and Episode 10 - The Old Witch. That last one is a Halloween snow globe! Hope that helps.
Hi. It sounds like the globe was either defective or partially damaged. Just pulling the stopper out should not break the globe. You can find an old used snow globe with the same size globe in a thrift store or garage sale or flea market then take it apart and use it to fix yours. That is what we do. There are also links in the video description to companies that sell snow globe parts. Good luck!
Thank you so much just restored mines 💓💓💓💓
Good! Glad we could help!
I cringe when I remember throwing out a broken Disney snow globe....wish your channel was around then :). Anyway, nice work and thanks for sharing.

Any tips on how to attach the ceramic piece to the rubber seal

I love how it started playing the music immediately. Like a last ditch plea, "Don't use me for parts!" 😂

I just need one of those stoppers, do you know where I can buy just one of those?

THX a lot now I know how to fix my globe. Do you have a snow globe that needed painting? I dont know if a special paint is needed.

Why doesn’t the glue set?
Which glue is having an issue; the glue to hold the figurine on the stopper or the hot glue to seal the globe?
