Already a DVC family. The 3 bedroom grand villas at old key west are the best rooms on property. We been members from the start in early 1990’s and use them every year. Going back this year for a 10 day trip 😁in September. We have a full house of family coming.

My guide knows that when DVC decides they want to sell out Riviera, to give me a call. I'm not really interested in buying more direct points until then.
Technically you are correct. I guess I should have clarified that their current sales promotion of the resort had sold out, making it the 2nd time their official sales promo sold out. I you’re asking specifically for OKW we have always gotten our room request at the 7 month window. The one exception was this spring break when we wanted a 3 bedroom Grand Villa at OKW and it wasn’t available. On very short notice availability can be slim pickings. As far as the other extremely popular resorts (VGF, Poly and Beach Club) it can be very difficult. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@WelcomeHome-1923 My wife has a talent for snagging last minute reservations, I guess. But in general we've found last-minute availability at Saratoga Springs and Animal Kingdom Lodge quite often. Other resorts as well but less frequently.

I love old key west but not the dues so I stay there but probably wouldn’t buy points there.

“Sold out again” they were selling points that they bought back so it’s not really the same as when they added more DVC units to Grand Floridian.

I just booked a July 4th weekend stay using my DVC points at Saratoga Springs yesterday.
