- Got an epic video for you guys today at an old lead mine down in Massachusetts. The minerals here are phenomenal. I was so overwhelmed by everything here i didnt really have any sort of plan, other than to just pick up what my eyes saw! This site is free to mine at and has minerals that can't be found in neighboring areas. Pretty much everything i find here was a surface find which i think is incredibly insane! I had no idea these minerals existed here so close to home. I would put time stamps but theres crystals in almost every clip, there was so much!!
I hope you guys enjoy this video! 😊
Sweet finds man! MA has so much more going on then I ever expected. Keep on rawking dude!✌️😎
Very cool that you found all this in Easthampton! I live pretty close to there (about half an hour drive away) and might have to check this area out sometime.
Omg!!!! Those are all awesome!!!! I'm from MA. & still currently live here. I find amazing stones every day, every hike & pretty much all over my area. If you don't mind me asking what part of MA did you find these in?
That's sweeeeeettt!!! This is in easthampton 🙂 making another video on this place right now
Wow cool! That reminds me of what I find in Washington county Missouri. Dude old mines are the best!!!
I know right? I was thinking something similar! I have some more awesome stuff from that place I gotta put up too. Including wulfenite, malachite, Chrysochola 👀👀
Hi There. I just found your video. Are you at the lead mines in Holland/ Fiskdale Massachusetts? I ask because I’ve found lots of different types of garnets in Holland near the old lead mines? If not might I please ask what town you’re in here? I’m in Worcester
Hiya!! No this lead mine is out in Easthampton! I see which lead mine you're talking about. Different types of garnets you say? I have found alot of garnets in the surrounding areas, such as in ware, and other towns, but mostly in rock, without any faces or great clarity lol.
@@DiscoveringMinerals Yes near Sturbridge, Brimfield Fiskdale area. Exactly, Lots of Almandine and Grossular Garnets in some kind of matrix. Some of them are just incredible specimens. I have yet to find any that are perfectly formed or not included in some other mineral rock. I keep my hopes up though that one day I possibly will
Wow that sounds amazing. Ill have to check it out sometime! Thank you for this info, it will come in handy one day when i get some more time 😂
Hunt for crystals, and find some of the BEST Massachusetts Minerals. great find mate.

I was going to say iron staining not citrine but, then I saw it in the video. Wow!!! Incredible banding 😮
Thanks a ton for watching ☺️😊 I really appreciate it!!
I found a gemstone when I was only 9, it looked like a ruby or could be quartz!
What color was it?
Babingtonite is quite valuable. Does it occur on the earths surface or deep in the ground?
Chiastolite with the cross pattern can be found in Mass.
This is loudville rd in easthampton right?
Yessss!
Where were you at the river? What town?
That's Easthampton
The black is tourmaline. Where are you at?
Interesting! This is in Easthampton!
@@DiscoveringMinerals Interesting that you are in Easthampton. A neighboring town.
Feldspar is what you couldn’t identify. Yellow, white, gray (blue). I’m there 2-3 x/wk
That's not a mineshaft it's actually a tailings pile it used to be part of the old Manhattan mine
Yeah, I don't know why but I watched literally that beginning part of the video today, and realized I have no idea why I called it a mineshaft 🤣🤣
Where is it? I'd love to see it😊
Loudville in Easthampton
What location is that? Im from Boston
This is in Easthampton!
Is this in easthampton?
Yes
@@FischerVlogs so fucking hilarious because my friend's parents live literally right next to it and he showed me that area literally right next to their property and he was talking about it being an old lead mine and that a bunch of people go there hunting minerals lmao
Any chance u could share about where in East hampton thanks
Its right off of Loudville Road ☺️
It's a tailings pile I actually know where the mineshafts are
@@lancegouvan1653 where??
Is this at Mount Tom?
Close!!! Just on the other side of it in Easthampton ☺️
I live in Weymouth ma picking stinks around here and I can’t drive anymore. Go hurt in my army days it’s worse now so I’m stuck with local areas and nothing . I research the geological pages about my area . The best place around here is scituite beach near the black sand
If you ever want to get out and go to any of these places you find let me know!! I’m new to the area and would enjoy the company rock hounding!!
Nice, but the music drowned out the narration in the start.
Hmmm
Who owns this land? Do we have permission to go there?
Heard it's permanently closed noa
@@DiscoveringMinerals I'll have to check it out
Just found the road I’m goin lol
Heck yeah!! 😊
I went and it is not picked clean. I found 20+ pieces of rock with crystal formations
Oh yeah man, theres always always tons of crystals every time I go there. You find anything really cool? Any wulfenites? Sometimes washing off the rocks there will only then reveal certain minerals and crystals!
Where was this
Easthampton 😉
@@DiscoveringMinerals show me!! Please
What part. I’m in mass and I need new spots
Hey just curious if you are active on here
Yeah of course! Whats up
@@DiscoveringMinerals I’m a Massachusetts local looking to find places to find any gems around the area New England mostly but pretty novice at this would like to go with someone who knows their stuff
Might be old poops from dinosaurs
Hmmm....
Junk low quality quartz is all that’s left there Has been picked clean years ago thanks to people with loose lips and litter everywhere 👄 :(
I have found a few cool pieces after the rain, But I do believe you. I was told that you can dig downwards and actually find quartz ledge with 1 inch+ quartz crystals inside?
There are still plenty of awesome pieces to be found, and big pieces at that
perhaps to you. Ones mans junk is another man's treasure
I have coordinates of the actual shafts
