Lagertha died in the same spot where she murdered Aslaug.
I like the way she died it was a good scene and she knew she would die because of the wounds so she went to kattegat to see Bjorn one last time so Hvitserk just finished her off and I feel that this death scene was better than if she died of the wounds.

I think if Lagertha died in Gunhild's arm right after Gunhild praised her, it would have been more impactful and fitting.

I dislike that this show is borrowing from game of Thrones in its final season. The Oleg scenes are basically him being Ramsey.

It'll be interesting because last season he was so outspoken about how revenge and war won't help anyone and that they should put the past (particularly the killing of Aslaug) behind them. The question is if he'll stay true to that sentiment or if he'll prove a hypocrite.

Bit unfair no death would compare to Ragnar's except maybe I say a very small maybe but Ivar because of the following he has so if he dies they will make is epic.

It's TRUE it was a long time coming. I saw Hitzserk killing her from episode 2, I'm sure she died where she killed Aslaug too. I'm hoping somehow the brothers can make some peace or be civil..but poor Hitzserk will be killed next episode now I'm sure.
Not the only reason, Ivar killing Sigurd is a huge part of the reason to. Funny how people conveniently ignore that part..
@@mayab3660 na that didnt really affect anything except making Ivar more isolated..Bjron didnt seem to care at all, he went to the medditarren sea. Ubbe was the only one affected but still seemed to forgive Ivar.
@@shannyd1 Ubbe tried to work with Ivar after, but in the end,he couldnt. So the rift between Ivar and Ubbe started with Ivar killing Sigurd, and was a huge part of why those 2 are no longer on the same team. Sigurd and Ubbe were close, and there is a deleted scene where Ubbe is standing next to Sigurds grave saying; one day i will avenge you. My point is,Lagertha isnt the only one to be blamed here, the rift between the sons of Aslaug, is also Ivars fault.
@@mayab3660 well I saw it as Ubbes pride got in the way, they worked fine raiding together until he refused to accept Ivar as the offical leader of the great army. . When to be fair Ivar was the unofficial leader anyways.."As your older brother, I will never, ever accept that" Ubbe and Ivar are different sides of the same coin. Ubbe is suited to farming and being a family man.

Am I the only one who likes how this death scene was done? Lagartha was not angry at Hvitserk. She already made peace with it. Hvitserk didn't enjoy killing her.
Larissa, when Lagertha killed White Hair you react same as me when i watched this episode, and after Lagertha died is Bjorn only one who is my favourite character, from now bjorn is only reason why i will watch another episodes. And dont worry Lagertha was my favourite character too she is now in Valhalla with her loved Ragnar noone escapes fate. Normally iam man with very little emotions but these moments when Lagertha died and some time back when Ragnar Died and some others death of favourite characters make me soft i cant help it. Well i hope i didnt make much mistakes in my english :D

Je bent er nooit klaar voor ook al voel je het aankomen dat Lagertha gaat sterven maar als het dan gebeurt lopen de tranen langs je wangen. Ik vond het zo erg haar te verliezen. Maar het had ook iets moois een vol leven en ze is nu bij Ragnar, Gyda ( en Astrid) zoals in het begin. Echt een heel mooie reactie Larissa en je hebt gelijk eerst Star Wars en nu dit weer.😢. Gelukkig ben jij er nog.☺️☺️

I found Lagartha's final finishing off by that drug addict Hvitserk to be too ignominious a fate for someone as magnificent as Lagertha. I would have liked it better if, a couple minutes after Gunnhild told Lagertha "I worship you now," Lagertha had slowly and gracefully let herself sink down to the ground and laid herself out to die from the mortal wound White Hair had given her. Gunnhild would have rushed to her side and scooped her up in her arms. Lagertha would have spoken her last words to Gunnhild as Gunnhild cradled her in her arms. The prophecy that Lagertha would be killed by a son of Ragnar would still be true in a symbolic sense. She would have been killed by Bjorn's decision to let White Hair live.
Sorry Larissa Zeeuwe it's like seeing the mother of dragons dieing again most people were waiting for this 1 building up to this 😭

Lagertha have had a lot of "almost" deaths on the show and she escaped a lot of times. This had to happen eventually. There was too much a sort of tricks by the writers, I think.
Get ready for more tears during the next episode. Very emotional and beautifully shot episode.
i never thought it would be ivar thats to easy and they were making hvitzerk crazy for a reason and i wasnt upset because ive been waiting for her to die since season4 also

Well, the Seer said that Lagertha would die at the hands of a son of Ragnar. He never specified how she would die.
She kinda did. She would have probably died anyway due to blood loss from that fight, Hvitserk just finished her off.
