I'm pretty sure it was the episode where Floki killed Athelstan. A man who escaped from the farming settlement showed up at Kattegat and told Ragnar and Floki that it was destroyed. Then Ragnar strangled him. He did it because he needed his men to be focused on attacking Paris for the first time. If they were focused on Ecbert instead, then he knew he would most likely have to go avenge the settlement before he would be able to take his warriors to Paris.
Ragnars defeat in Paris broke him like Bjorn said and he left out of shame. Ragnar didn't know Ecbert would betray him and destroy his settlement, but they showed in an earlier season that the farmer told Ragnar, and he kill him to conceal it so that he wouldn't be blamed for the failure. After leaving out of shame for his many defeats in Paris, almost 10 years passed until he returned to Kattegat which is now a huge settlement and trading center.
This is what Rollo wanted praise for bring a great warrior. This was a great episode especially the ending who wants to be king! That challenge from Rangor! I always loved the scene between him and Ecbert about being good men and corrupted
Ragnar knew the settlement was destroyed (it was shown in an episode in season 3 when he got the news and then killed the messenger), but his mind was already set on Paris. He knew that if the people of Kattegat found out about the settlement they would demand they all go back to England for revenge, so Ragnar kept it a secret.
YOU DO KNOW THESE LITTLE COMMENTS LIKE THIS ARE SPOILERS! PEOPLE ARE NOT STUPID ,WHEN U SAY THINGS LIKE THIS IT ONLY MEANS THAT THE CHARACTER WILL BE AROUND FOR AWHILE. DO U NOT SEE THAT SMH
Ellie, you probably watch this series inattentively :) After all, a few episodes ago Ragnar killed a messenger who told him about this massacre in England. He killed him to go to Paris and confront Rollo. If others found out, they would ignore Paris and would like to go to England to avenge their countrymen.
Loved how Rollos loyalty and trust in the king was well placed. The king played pretty much everyone and Rollo was a hero to Paris enough fame, land, riches, and power to forever secure his legacy.
NO he didnt know/expect Eckbert to destroy the settlement ... but he heard that it had been for a survivor of the settlement ... The one he choked to death so the info didnt get out to hes people ;)
This show, and many others as well have one problem in common: They have trouble showing the time, that is passing. In one scene we have the battle on the river, and i the next it isseveral years later. It can be hard to keep track.
i reckon ragnar didn't tell anyone and the settlement because as bjorn said the people would try to kill ragnar but they wouldn't stop at ragnar they would kill his kids an wife also and ragnar knew that.
He hid the fact it was destroyed so they wouldn't want revenge and just go to Paris like ragnar wanted. He cared more about Rollo his brother than Ecbert at the moment
Same. Lol. The shock on her face when she found out (for the 2nd time) that Ragnar knew the settlement was destroyed. As if she didn't just react to the episode a month ago. Lol.
The franks were losing until lagertha got hurt and ragnar got held back by his men, then they won. Makes sense if you dont think about it and just go along. Also, ivar is the most forced over hyped character in the history of TV fans. Absolutely nothing special or charismatic about him yet youre about to be inundated by “omg ❤️ ivar” style posts because the circle jerk is a powerful thing. His war strategy of “imma blow my horn and then you guys turn around and run a few times” is going to be “the best battle strategy in the history of humanity” according to his fangirls…
Yeeeah.. Ragnar's sons. This is where the series goes downhill from here for me and becomes a soap with bad acting and tedious storylines. There's one moment (you know which one) worth to stick around for and after that.. not worth it anymore for me.

Ragnar didn't know they WOULD destroy it only that it WAS destroyed :)
"WHOOO.. WANTS TO BE KING?!"
There's a statue of Rollo in Rouen, Normandy, France.

Not just that, his idea of co existing with the Saxons instead of indulging in never ending warfare with them would go to shit.
Just pay attention to Ivar...Thats all im going to say!

12:15 I love how invested you've become. A far cry from your reactions in the first 2 seasons of the show.
This show, and many others as well have one problem in common: They have trouble showing the time, that is passing. In one scene we have the battle on the river, and i the next it isseveral years later. It can be hard to keep track.

18:43 This girl is slow as fck omg so hilarious.
Ubbe Ragnarson 😎
i didnt think it was possible to cry during a fight scene
My top 3 Characters 1. Ragnar 2. Ivar 3. Floki
Now comes the story of Ragnarsson who were 100% real and did a lot and much influence around europe, but also famous in history like Ragnar.
He hid the fact it was destroyed so they wouldn't want revenge and just go to Paris like ragnar wanted. He cared more about Rollo his brother than Ecbert at the moment
NOT TRUE. HE WANTED TO EXPLORE AND SEE PARIS ROLLO WAS AFTER. HE ALWAYS WAS PLANNING TO DEAL WITH ECBERT AFTER PARIS
This last Season of Vikings is the best.
who doesn't want to take an 8 year vacation?
I can't stop watching your reactions lol
25:12 even the mistres knew that thats why he killed her remember?
its shocking how confused you get over things they explain in the show

dnt be shocked by the time jump they did it in season 2 with bjorn like episode 3 or 4
Such a good eposide
I remember hating Rollo so much in this when i watched it long ago.

Are y'all continuing to review this show or no????
the series really starts here tbh
nah season 1 to 4 are definetly better then 5 and 6, not saying 5 and 6 are bad, just not as good.
@@SkaffaS yea guess it’s just personal preference, I just love the cinematography in the later seasons looks a lot more clean
Are we going to see any more Breaking Bad reactions soon? It's been almost 2 weeks since you last posted one. (May 29)
