Alexander Ludwig gave a great perfomance in this episode.
The thing that makes Bjorn special is that he is the only offspring of Ragnar and Lagertha! He is also the first son of Ragnar! And out of all the sons Ragnar spent the most time raising him! And we all watched him grow up as we grew with the show ourselves! It makes it that much more emotional for him to go out this way! To think that Vikings has existed since 2013 is amazing! It has been an extraordinary journey! The show has been around for nine years!
Technically he was not the only one born to them he was just their only son they had together
He died as a legend❤️

It's done flawlessly really....For Bjorn who had fallen from grace it was the best way to go, to have him go out into legend just like Ragnar his father. Every subtle thing in the ending of that episode is perfect....Hviserk's quiet nostalgia and obvious love for Bjorn...Oleg freaking terrified of seeing this lmao...That slow panning shot of Bjorn's statue showing him more like an ethereal figure than anything else....The subtle tone of worried doubt in Ivar's voice when he says' He's not a god', almost doubting that himself.....Because let's face it this is as close as it get's hahaha
I know I'm 3 years late but that statue was actually bjorn body. When she revisit he's body is decaying
This season only gets better, i hope we can get to the end quickly its amazing

One of the best touches about this ending was how after all the fighting amongst themselves, Hvitserk still had the love to give his brother the exact same speech their father Ragnar made on his death in Season 4.
bjorn ironside is huge in viking history even today he is spoken about within the history.
after this Björn then became King of Sweden, started the first royal dynasty, the house of munsö, Munsöätten, he is an important part of our royalty and his grave/mound is in Munsö if people want to visit him...Finehair also lived had lots and lots of offspring's and he expired from OLD age and not from a sword

Look at it from the perspective of a culture that was very superstitious. The Rus were told Björn was dead only for him to arrive on the battlefield. He then took three arrows to the chest and still raised his sword ready for battle. The Rus would have been terrified that he was an immortal that could not be killed. Just that alone would have been a major advantage for the Vikings.
That was the most epic way to go out! All hail the true King of Norway! King Bjorn Ironside! He learned this tactic from the raids on Paris! And used it as King Ragnar did! He is the true son of Ragnar Lothbrook !⚔️ 👑

This is the greatest death scene I have ever seen. The way they showed it looked so good and legendary. This was better than Ragnar's death scene.
Maybe there is something in that mask you're wearing you are allergic to. Try something else as a mask and see if it get better. Stay safe. :) Also Björns burial mound is on an island here in Sweden near the viking town of Birka.
