Thank you for taking the time with all the links!! Your choices are so much like what I’ve had in mind. Well done. Mine is also a 93 and was garage kept all it’s life with only 128,000 miles! I never knew a vehicle could bring so much joy.
nice man just getting around to finishing my 1990 jeep yj got mine when i was in high school, have had it for had it for the past 14 years original engine 148k miles
I loved your jeep, I have a yj Sahara 92, little by little I'm adding things to it, but the stickers on the dashboard, I would never have thought of it, excellent video
what is the reference for the black outlines on the grille please? and the exact reference of your paint ? If you are able to discuss in private ? I really like the modding of your YJ
Killer YJ man! I'm working on fitting out my 89 YJ that has 4.2 and 5 speed. (had a '92 over 25 years ago...that I sold and never could remember why). Enjoyed your in depth tour. Just got same headlights delivered, haven't installed...but more excited about them now that I see them on yours! Unlike most folks, I like the retro rectangles but this just gives them more modern vibe. I also have 15" rims with 33 MT's and 4" lift (RE 4" but not lifted shackles). Question for you: I noticed on your underneath shot, you don' t have transfer case drop. Did you have that before you installed SYE? Any issues with your lift and driveshaft alignment, etc., after removing TC drop? I'm planning on SYE this spring, and would love to get rid of the TC drop spacers like yours! Good job on your killer classic jeep!
Yes, my jeep actually had a transfer case drop on it when I first bought it. But it was like homebrewed. The shackles were homemade too and super unsafe. When I first bought the jeep I knew they needed to be replaced, but I waited too long and they snapped in half. It caused me to run off the road and flip the jeep over. So, I learned the hard way... I went with the 4" Rough Country lift and removed the homebrew TC case drop and added the RC kit. (I wish I went with a different lift, but I was in college at the time and had a minimum wage job, so I tried fixing things with a budget lol.) Years later, I blew up the Dana 35 twice. Then sheared the ring gear and blew up the input shaft in my transfer case. So instead of fixing the D35 for the 3rd time, I decided to swap the Ford 8.8 under it. I had both diffs removed and matched up the shock and leaf spring perches and welded them to match the Dana 35. Then slapped that under the jeep. Bought an SYE kit and it came with the double carden shaft. Tore the transfer case apart and rebuilt it. Then threw the SYE on and it's been amazing ever since. With the SYE you need to angle your pinion to match the TC. Kinda like if you were aiming your rear diff pinion flange as iron sights on a gun, you'd "aim" it at the TC case. That will fix all driveline angles and you won't have any vibrations or excessive play
Just got 90 yj from the original owner he bought it brand new in Alaska solid tub and solid frame. He did a bunch of upgrades just going to dress it up.
Hi I have a 94 yj jeep wrangler and it runs great I need to replace the bottom piece of the windshield where my wiper arms go the rod inside there and the wiper arms and motor. My main issue that I have is frame rot can you please tell me what I can do about it any and all help will be greatly appreciated thanks
yikes.. frame rot is no good. if it’s real bad you’re gonna need to strip everything off of it, repair the frame, and put it all back together. this can be good though if you want to do some upgrades like putting a lift on it or replacing the dana 35 with a ford 8.8
Tanks on the yjs are all the same. If yours only takes 15 gals., drop the tank, yank out the 10” breather hose, cut it down to 3”, shove it back in the hole, put it back together, and you have a 20 gallon tank!)
I bought Best Top for my 95 yj 4years ago still like brand new. Plus a "boot" it folds n stores into (rides along top of back. I love the boot not only for protection of soft top, buy it adds extra height to keep my gsd's growling snapping head in lol Some folks still wanna pet the mean ass black German Shepard...go figure
U need to remove that gas can! Thats the only thang ugly on ur jeep! Plus if u wheel hard n fast it will almost taer right off, i know. Or keep it only 1/4 full. skeleton is cool, any links to that
Sorry to say that bungee cord on your gas tank is not only dangerous. It's irresponsible other than that nice jeep As far as your stereo goes, most people use stereos designed for boats. They're made to get wet. And they last a long time because they're also made to take the pounding a boat gets
The bungee cord has outlasted the rachet strap that came with the kit, and it's extremely tight. The jerry can is extremely secure. Not sure how it's dangerous, or irresponsible.
Nice jeep but that doesn't look like a real 4 inch lift Mine is Pro Comp on 33's and I have much more space between tire and finder than yours. I noticed you're still using those crappy factory gauges.
Bungee cords get dry and crusty, and then they fall apart. If the tank falls off in traffic could get Under a Moving car and spark up a storm Especially if you drive on the freeway. Bottom line is if you had half a brain. You'd secure it very well not with bungees that's what idiots do Sorry but those are the facts. If it was a can of water it might not be so bad
Nah, it's secure and I don't let my bungee cords dryrot to that point it's an issue. I guess if you weren't a retard you'd understand that, but I'd imagine you're the type of moron that rides until his rotors are marred up before doing a pad change. Krod the nimrod should be your new username.
Anyone with half a brain would agree with me on this why take dumb chances especially with Gasoline This is the kind of stuff i've seen people do in mexico third world country They do dumb stuff like this and it turns out bad. You've got to be better than that. But from your reply, obviously you're not.
@@krod2162I agree with OctaneSlain. Nothing dangerous about it when maintained. You're just one of those people that like making issues out of nothing.
My dream set up

I've got a 92 Sahara w/4.0 automatic. Original owner 185k🤗
They just plug in, they sell them on Amazon
Did you remove both track bars on your Jeep?
You don't really need track bars with leaf springs. You can take them off.
Do you know where you got your good luck charm? that things awesome
Idk if you will see this but how did the breaks fit together? What type of work did you have to do?
where did you buy that cb antenna .,.,

How’s the road noice in yours having the soft top?

Awesome YJ Man!
Love it dude. Can't wait to make some upgrades to my jeep wangler YJ. I have a 92. How big of a gas tank do you have?

Sorry I didn't explain where the boot sits very well...it rides along the top edge of the back where the rear door closes. I hope this helps

Mantap brooo. Jeep
I keep my vehicles
The dislike is from people who don't have cars 😂
Haha, Check out my Jeep I just threw all the bolt on catalog parts on it.
Haha, yea. I especially enjoyed installing the catalog bolt-on Ford 8.8 rear diff.
