    I have a San Martin Rolex Submariner Homage and a Cronos Rolex Submariner Homage No date.
    My comparison ,my Pros for San Martin the case is nicer as case tapers ,the black on the San Martin dial is better.
    The Cronos no date bracelet is smoother no sharp edges ,Bezel feels nicer,but does have a bit of side play.
    If San Martin done a Rolex Submariner Homage no date apart from the sharp edges on the bracelet, it would be a better choice than the Cronos. I wanted a date Submariner Homage and a no date.
    I am still happy with both.

    I have the Cronos V2. The blue commands a bold presence, and all markings are clear and crisp. The bracelet is exceptionally machined without sharp edges, and the glide lock is a nice feature. A light polish with a Cape cod cloth has provided many compliments from admirers. I preferred the monochrome blue of the Cronos to the "purplish" tone of the San Martin; to each his own. A black V2 Cronos would be a nice addition to my collection.

    I like Cronos, but I opted for the SM, and it's stunning. And the latest ones have the brilliant on-the-fly adjustment on the clasp. The dial/bezel colour is really eye-catching, and as usual, impeccable build quality.

      Most of the on the fly adjustable clasps I've used have been imperfect. Maybe sm latest is better. Citizen do a good rachet clasp but it looks strange when adjusted from the first setting

    I’ve been tossing up between these two for a few weeks but your review of them side by side makes the Cronos the clear winner for me. The dial colour is so much better and looks expensive. The SM is too vibrant and cheapens the watch. Less is more.

    The extended lug to lug on the cronos is the reason I went with SM. I just got mine yesterday and it fits EXACTLY like the subs before they went to the 41mm case size.
    I'll probably end up going with the Cronos for the GMT though.

    Hi mate! Great video! I love the blue on the cronos much more. Hopefully I'll get one soon. Btw I just received the sn019 and it doesn't come with a quick adjust clasp. It came with their new twin trigger release clasp and with the new box. Nevertheless it's fantastic. It looks like they've improved the bracelet a bit as it doesn't seem sharp to me.

    • @ATIWatchReviews
      @ATIWatchReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting. They were initially selling and advertising the 019 as having a sliding gliding style clasp but I think lots of reviewers have said its defective/comes loose too easily. Therefore I was going to wait until they upgraded it. But if they already have swapped it for a normal deployant I'll still pick one up if the links are NOT too thick and sharp?

    I like the Cronos blue color, is more subtle. The SM blue has that Casio Duro finish, and way over cheesy shine.

  • @justintime1218
    @justintime1218 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I actually prefer the thickness of the links on the San Martin. My v3 version has the upgraded clasp which I also really like! Especially the finish!
    The blue on the Cronos is more subtle and easier on the eye. However the blue on the San Martin is closer too the Rolex sub (Smurf)
    Bezel action is definitely better on the San Martin.
    The Cronos arguably win the movement with the Pt5000 over the NH35. But imo the Nh35 is time proven. So I'd like too see how long the Pt5000 will last.
    The San Martin should of gone with a Solid blue dial too match the Bezel rather than Sun burst. But over
    overall both lovely watches. And personally I prefer the Logo on the San Martin. Is cleaner! Great review though mate! And thanks for sharing 👍

  • @rsinger2597
    @rsinger2597 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You should be able to get the NH35 and PT5000 regulated to +/- 5 sec per day without much trouble. If you're lucky they'll come this accurate, if not, you just need a case back ball, micro screwdriver, and patience. Timegrapher really helps but not strictly necessary. PT5000 is much easier to adjust because it has a fine adjustment screw.

    The SAN MARTIN SNO17V3 VS blows away the CRONOS L6005! The blue on the SAN MARTIN pops, where as the blue on the CRONOS is darker and drab! And the date magnifier on the SAN MARTIN cyclops lens has 2.5 x magnification, as opposed to the CRONOS cyclops lens that only has 1.5 x magnification! In my opinion, SAN MARTIN wins!

  • @neilba1

    Cronos really nail the colours don't they....you'll find thats the right Rolex colour. Their Rolex GMT homage is amazing too with the red and blue bezel. Their Red is very close to the more 'Claret' shade Rolex use....and the more 'muted' blue also....where as everyone else is just using primary red and blue, San Martin included. I live San Martin and have 4. All black/grey dials though. Cronos are really taking the extra time to at least try and replicate colour.

    • @ATIWatchReviews
      @ATIWatchReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @neilba1
      @neilba1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ATIWatchReviews I like the San Martin colours too. It depends what you want. If you want something closer to the real smurf then Cronos is actually more correct. Whether thats actually nicer is in the eye of the beholder. Rolex original colours are actually quite a bit more subdued in the flesh. Quite subtle......not that I can afford them!

    • @ATIWatchReviews
      @ATIWatchReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@neilba1 It isnt, I've seen the real smurf in person and it is NOT a teal colour like the cronos. The cronos blue is not correct. The SM is closer in the sense of the bezel colour, the dial is sunburst but the real smurf is a solid matt colour, but the cronos blue doesnt look the same at all. Real smurf is much more punchier vibrant blue like the SM.

    • @neilba1
      @neilba1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Useful video. Do you know why pagani is more comfortable than these 2 ?

    • @ATIWatchReviews
      @ATIWatchReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because the bracelet is thinner than the SM and the edges of the bracelet and case are not sharp. Also, the head of the PD is not as top heavy as the cronos and has a smaller end link to link dimension. the PD is the comfiest, clear winner IMHO

    • @ATIWatchReviews
      @ATIWatchReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree. Although it's in some higher end watches, it seems to be a problem for them to recreate a sunburst blue dial. The pagani sunburst blue is straight purple, just terrible. But the cronos blue is not right either, it's too teal for my liking.

    • @AnthonyLauder
      @AnthonyLauder 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ATIWatchReviews You are right. I have the pagani too (it was one of my first AliExpress watches) and that purple dial means that after the first few days I stopped wearing it. • @ATIWatchReviews
      @ATIWatchReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ye, but it's clearly an issue in much higher end watches also (some have complained older rolex bluesy models had a purply dial). So the SM is not a deal breaker for me, I accept they struggle to get the right blue to come through
