Fantastic review, good news, Guerlain are relaunching this fragrance into the mainstream line along with Insolence, L’Instant etc, L’Initial has done well and will be available in the new bottles very soon, check their website under the ‘Legendary’ fragrance section. Happy that it will be available to more people at a more affordable price point 💕❤️💕❤️

I love the Shalimar extrait.. omg, it lasts like 20 hours on me.. and smells better as the hours pass ♡ it transforms into this wonderful creamy amber vanilla

It is warm, musky, powdery and deep.
I understand that you describe ; on my skin, citrus fruits stand out with a note of orange twisted by lemon. Then jasmine, rose and vanilla on a bed of tonka bean and patchouli make it very sensual
Thank you so much for your thoughts. I purchased the original initial in 2011 and I absolutely love it. I can appreciate Shalimar, but it’s too much for me. Initial is beautiful, smells nothing like Shalimar and that’s perhaps why I love it so much. I’m just disappointed that guerlain re-released the-same fragrance and bumped up the price to the point that it is no longer affordable. Guerlain is my favourite perfume house, but I fear the direction they are taking, it kind of scares me. I hope you are all well. Stay safe everyone! ❤️🌺🌈🦋🙏

L’initial is my favourite flanker. It is powdery, romantic and warm on my skin. It is my signature perfume with Coco by Chanel ❤
I tried also Le Philtre but the vanilla is too leathery for me, this scent is too heavy.

Yes..the price...the bottle is very pretty though and it's a limited edition. So they are on the safe side

I love this. I love Shalimar too, but this version is completely wearable anytime and anywhere. Do you know if this Bee Bottle is Eau de Parfum? It has also come out in the iconic glass bottle with the heart stopper that looks like Mitsouku and L'Heure Bleue and that bottle says eau de Parfum while the Bee bottle doesn't. Are they the same formulation?
I love this perfume. I can honestly say it’s my favorite. It last forever by the way I have the old version I will buy the new edition to compare

Never tried L’initial. I can appreciate both vintage and modern fragrances. If it smells great I won’t complain.

I have Shalimar perfume initial l'eau wich is the EDT, I have never smell Shalimar Initial Perfume EDP, but I wonder if it would smell like one of this 2, I don't think would smell like the classic Shalimar but more like perfume initial EDP.
I noticed I like all Shalimars..avtually there is a new one.. And I really want it🤣

Thanks:) I guess it's similar to that discontinued initial shalimar since it is even very similar to shalimar
It is the same Shalimar Parfum Initial just resissued in a new bottle from Les Parisiennes line.
