      I tried it Russell it was an amazing rod, i love the concept and it is really light and truly responsive an 8 weight can easily through a 9 but due to the shape is softer on the playing side so not so many fish broken off on the strike like some high performance blanks

    What flourocarbon do you use

    • @troutwithleigh4503
      @troutwithleigh4503  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I only use Fulling mill, 8-10 for pulling, 8lb for nymphs , 6 for dry's lot of people think of it as tow rope but it is supposedly invisible in water and although it has a larger diameter than some others I have less breakages less tangles and more money in my pocket !!!lol

      Firstly thanks for watching, depends on how much you want to spend really ? cant go wrong with snowbee for value for money but if you really want to splash out go for Simms got to be the best on the market! I assume its breast waders your looking at?

      @@troutwithleigh4503 Hi Leigh.......I am also interested in waders.....I notice that you wear the all in one waders (boot wise) - whereas Nick looks to be wearing the stocking foot waders and boots.....I was thinking of getting a pair of the all in ones - mainly as they seem to be more reasonable / cost effective. But it does seem to be a bit of a minefield - seem to get lots of conflicting advice (some people advocate spending as much as you can - others don't bother, they will still leak after a while!!!)......Wondered what waders you were wearing as they look quite good.....Probably out of my budget - not as serious an angler as you guys! But thought I would ask..........

      @@stuartrobertson4490 Not expensive Stuart they are Vass 600 series £58-00 so if they only last a few years or you don't wade that much then I would recommend them no problem, I was using Qrvis neoprene before which were good in the winter but pricey and too warm in the summer for me! I had a day out at Rutland for the first time ever, yesterday (and fished my first ever loch style comp with the newly formed Fly Fishing Large Reservoir Club). Had a great day but more success on diawls and crunchers than buzzers - to be fair the guys that queued up in Dickensons Bay had a field day on buzzers but I didn’t find that out until the weigh in!
