Hard but fun day FLY FISHING Grafham Reservoir.

- A cold overcast August day, wind blowing and a week of poor fishing reports didn't put me off. It turned out to be a great day out on the water, challenging but such good fun. Caught 3 mint conditioned Rainbow trout, one of 4lbs and two of 3lbs. Crunchers and Buzzers did the business on the day as well as a white gold headed shrimp pattern.
Very good video and an excellent 10lb bag. I used to fish the bank at Grafham. I had more blanks than successful days. When you get one it is amazing. My best was a 6lb. brown which is over my mantelpiece, hand-carved and painted.

Nice one Simon, that did look a good day. Had to rewind some bits as I am sat here tying flies at the same time. I have two gentlemen first time on the rod with me tomorrow. Rocket floater!! Yes that's it 😁 casts really well. On a hot day I do take an ice bag but believe me it wasn't hot lol. 👍

You could take an icebox with you to keep your fish in especially if its really hot.
