    Hi Rhys! Just wanted to say thank a million for all of your videos! You have helped me catch more fish in a few months than I have in years! Just a quick question, I need files you have answered the buzzer side of my question with this video but what flys would you recommend for a relitavley new fisherman fishing for trout on smallish still water? Would like some buzzers, drys, nymphs and probably some wets! Just no idea where to start!
    Normally fish under the bung, but looking to try straight line buzzers and nymphs and also have a crack at dry flys! Thanks for your time and apologies for my long winded question!

    Hi Rhys, Another cracking video. I tie Wicked Whites with white Unifloss cheeks which I find easier than paint or biots, you can also easily create breathers with the stubs of the floss if you want them. Worked nicely at Garnffrwd this week and last as 16s

    hi rhys, I trust your opinion so I was wondering what rod you feel is more powerful out of the stillmaniac and the v2? thats if you've tried them. Great video as always

    • @RhysFishes
      @RhysFishes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can only speak for 1 of them so can't really give you a fair opinion as I've never tried the v2. Best bet is to visit a local dealer and try them both out for yourself :)

      @@RhysFishes struggling to find a dealer near me with both... would you highly recomend the stillmaniac? I need something that is strong enough for di7 and di8s and my gr60 isn't up to it especially in a wind

    @fieldsman3307 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Rhys, different subject but on one of your vids I noticed you were using Stroft GTM 0.10 3lb for tippet and wondered if you had many river trout bust you with this, thanks Mike

    • @RhysFishes
      @RhysFishes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes unfortunately with nymphs. .10 is very light. I’ve now moved more toward .12 and even .14 in some cases.

    • @fieldsman3307
      @fieldsman3307 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RhysFishes Thanks for that, confirmed my opinion , when I pulled it there was hardly any pressure to snap it so went to .12 and have .14 for small streamers.

    • @RhysFishes
