Great sailing episode! I know it gets a little boring sometimes watching video of sails and wakes and water going by but I felt like this episode was a perfect blend of life aboard and sailing shots. Well done! Can't wait to see the transit video!
great video, and beautiful sailing across to Panama, look forward to watching your travels across the Pacific and hopefully up here into Asia , Malaysia, Indonesia
Great episode guys! I can't wait to see the passage through the canal. Your boat is really cool, I really like the layout. Thanks for sharing:) --- josh
Glad you enjoyed it Josh. I'm working on a short drone video of us sailing through all the anchored ships and then the transit through the canal is next!
I was wondering if you guys watch or are in contact with Ryan and Tasha from Chase the Story. Both of you have, I think, identical Helia 44's. You both seem to be going through the Canal at the same time. Have you considered contacting them?
Hey Jason. We actually know Ryan and Tasha quite well, as they had lots of questions for us when they were buying their Helia! They're better about keeping up to date with their videos than we are. We're actually well through the Canal and are at the end of our stay in French Polynesia. We keep encouraging them to catch up soon. :)
The two main reasons I like galley down is you don't fell like your in a travel trailer and there is a lot more storage and prep/cleanup space . Stove vents over side through a dorade style vent and not into the cockpit As for sea sickness, the more you expose your self to it the more you get use to and the less you become sick. Motion sickness is something you can become use to unless you have sever inner ear issues
We do actually use some cheap vodka to help kill the fish (tough to get that part on video during all the excitement), but tuna especially do need to be bled to get the best quality meat. So we have to Dexter it up regardless!
glad to see you guys much more comfortable with the camera. Videos are gettting much more natural and fun. keep it up :)
+nhreef Thanks! It's taken us a while but the goal is always to keep getting better!
I'm so glad your here and sharing some of the greatest adventure that one can have. In this case two. You guys are awesome.
We're definitely enjoying one hell of an adventure! Thanks for watching.

Finding that right balance is tricky, so I'm glad this one turned out well!
Great job gals/guys! JC
Great video Amy and David, it looked like you had a wonderful passage into Panama. Cheers from PEI Canada, Bryan.
Thanks Bryan! This one turned out to be one of our best, aside from the passage to Halifax of course. :-D

Our plan is to head up to SE Asia next year after spending cyclone season in New Zealand. So soon!

great video, I would probably I lose about 4 drones, before I got that one shot ha ha! thanks for the video. happy sailing
Yeah, I was worried about losing the drone, but the risk/reward was too good to pass up!

At 2:50ish you mentioned having good speed. How fast was that? It looked like you were flying.
Thanks for sharing.
We spent most of that day doing over 8 knots. It was a lot of fun! :-D
nice
Yup, that's another reason why I like galley down.
They both have their pros and cons. Galley up helps keep Amy from feeling seasick so that's all the pro I need. :)

Guys, try the alcohol in the gills technique for killing your catch. No bloody cleanup!

great video, the butter is very dangerous ;-)
It's the things you don't expect that you have to keep an eye out for! :D
