- This was My Yamaha SuperTeneré 1993 that i painted and modified to be my cool bike. The engine and gearbox were cared of and everithing was in VERY GOOD running order because i made it for myselfe. I owned it for 8 years i belive but with two small childs and no spare time i let it go for another entusiast to ride it. Goodbye my rolling vacation and forest companion............

I used to do long tours on my dependable old XTZ. Heavy in every respect and not at all zippy but it's amazing how far you can lean it over in fast (100-110 km/h) corners even with dull tyres and its very basic suspension before the pegs dig in. These bikes are very easy to maintain and refurbish/upgrade. Starting to fetch silly money nowadays.

Beautiful super tenere, Crash bars is a good option to keep it in that condition in cases of a fall.
The crachbars will distort the frame and destroy the radiator. When i removed the crashbar and centerstand i reduced the weight by a whopping 28 kg!!!

They are a little bit on the heavy side for Swedish forest roads, but after a season or so it feels smaller and lighter. I could only imagine how competent it would be in the dunes of Marocco!!!!
@@erikstodene4370 I agreee! I came to this bike from riding lighter thumpers but this bike is so much better on the road compared to my previous bikes so it’s worth the struggle on the trails. I’m a pretty big guy so for me it’s a great allround bike!

I just got an xtz 750 me 100,000 I cleaned calipers and valves caps some for adjustment now to how many kilometers does the engine have life ??? will I go up to 200,000 ???? i mean with normal its services in all the videos I saw on the internet here I have not seen more than all the kilometers in there they are at 50,000 60,000 maybe they have zeroed them ???? is there anyone who has kept this machine from the beginning ?? first hand?????
This is so much engine quality you wont believe!!! 50-60K km i nothing for this engine. Around that time you should check the walves, there is 3 vexhaustvalves per cyl and the middle one runs hotter so it might need some checkup. The needles and emultiontubes in the carburettors need changing every 10K km and DONT GO FOR AFTERMARKET!!!!! It will only bring you headache. Buy Suzuki original and just smack it in there and no problems. The regulatir will eventually burn, so you might just get a heavvy duty aftermarket one now and have it laying at home. Will spare you headache!

@@erikstodene4370 ihave 2 super tenere buy one is 1995 model and another is 1991 the colors change look now i chek the one model i buy with 90.000 this it was problem next day not start engine i take to yamaha service and there chek not presure then was only service the 10 valves and till now run olmstot 2 season summer time now i chek the cilidre and i se that one cilidre the first left side is low presure and second is biger presure i just im not sure about how realy psi is bacouse this manometer wat i buy from china not work ok the left it was 75 psi and the second cilidre 105 eny way is difrend but i make sichronizet the calbulators and i se i litle the baterfly open first from the left side cilidre ofcorse bacouse less presure it working ... next winter i have plane to open for service the valves this is all for this engine 1995 model ..... the second model it run beter respond wehn speed but this burn litle oil after 1000 kiliometer around one litre...my qyestion is next winter time wat you thing is beter to open and make servive ?? the first xtz 1995 ???only valves???? or the second xtz 1991 valves and more donw to pistone change the rings of pistone about burn oil????i want to keep one best engine the second xtz is with 60.000 model 1991 but burn oil..
