Removal of Wet Cylinder #4 sleeve from a CASE 580B Backhoe

This is something I tried to get the sleeves out and it worked fairly well using the slide hammer. 3 of the sleeves popped out fairly easy, the 4th sleeve was a bit harder but it eventually popped out. I already had this tool for use on the other farm equipment and it saved me $$ from having to buy a different tool. If you are looking to try this the slide hammers should be rentable from your local auto parts store.
Engine is a CASE G188D 3.1L Diesel 4 cylinder Inline
Sleeves are 4"+ ID

I broke down and bought a wet sleeve puller from a high end tool supplier and the high price was well worth it. It saved me hours putting new sleeves in my 401 diesel.

Thanks, I need to rebuild my 188d in a Case 450 crawler. Might need a block and a crank. Have looked for a complete engine, but have not been able to find one.

Its far easier to just make a puller its easy to build
