Removal of Wet Cylinder #4 sleeve from a CASE 580B Backhoe
มุมมอง 3.2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is something I tried to get the sleeves out and it worked fairly well using the slide hammer. 3 of the sleeves popped out fairly easy, the 4th sleeve was a bit harder but it eventually popped out. I already had this tool for use on the other farm equipment and it saved me $$ from having to buy a different tool. If you are looking to try this the slide hammers should be rentable from your l...

Pigs Slap-Shot Injection

Trying out the Slap-Shot flexible injection tool for the first time. Worked very well! I took a couple frozen (used to be) pumpkins off my moms porch to distract them. This year has been unbelievable for the amount of rain we've been getting. This is taken a few days after Christmas 2018, this time of year it is typically frozen in upstate New York and guess what???? We just got another half in...
Susquehanna River Fishing

Started out the day with two Bald Eagles dive bombing a merganser in the river but the footage was too far away to make out clearly. Merganser got away! Slow day fishing on the Susquehanna river but we didn't get skunked which is always good! Wound up catching 3 just legal (15") walleyes, a catfish, a sucker, and a musky (my first). Temperature varied from 32 (eyes on the poles were freezing) w...
In-Depth Fishing Adventures

This was a fishing trip that I won by attending the Allen H. Treman State Marina days in Ithaca NY in July. The fishing trip was on Cayuga Lake in early August 2018. We left from Treman Marina and went half way up the lake to start our troll. The lake is full of Lake, Rainbow, Brown trout and landlock (Atlantic) salmon. Fished for a little over a half day and caught a decent number of fish. Wou...

    Nice design, but you should add a safety line that connects the pole to the stand. Helps do a Northern doesn’t pull the pole down the hole.

    • @stanfrericks3357
      @stanfrericks3357 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I built mine I run a longer rod threw the pole. I fish a 6 inch hole so I made my rods 8 inches It saves alot of pole in a season it can't go down Because the rod won't let it . It might come off the stand if Abigail fish hits it. If u fish a 8 inch hole make your pivoting rod then 10 inches.trust me it works keeping your equipment. Good luck!

      Did you order from them? It was a hit n miss with me. First order from them was great. So I ordered again. Got a dead grapevine from them in the second order n a Pom tree that was half the size of the one I got from them the first time. I even hinted that I may have received a dead vine from them but they denied it by saying grapevine are different from other plants n trees. That you will see white underneath when doing the scratch test. 🤦‍♀️

    How exactly does the rod lock in place onto the base?

    • @jboutdoors6707
      @jboutdoors6707 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      it is only locked into the base when in storage mode. When it is fully deployed/set up for fishing, the rod is only sitting in the base via the nail which allows easy pickup to fight the fish. My goal in making this was for something that was relatively compact and didn't have multiple pieces floating around in a bucket.

    do i need planer boards to fish cayuga lake

    • @jboutdoors6707
      @jboutdoors6707 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the spring the fish are shallow and you can catch them with stick baits. Summer you'll need downriggers or something to get your bait deep. Boards allow you to spread the lines letting you get more in the water without getting tangled.

    • @jboutdoors6707
      @jboutdoors6707 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that. Willis from the sounds of it is a gamble. I wound up making out in my order but I've heard lots of bad things about their service. I would not get anything expensive from them and I do not agree with their policies on charging. if I remember correct they bill you first and if you want to cancel etc. it is a pain. read their policies carefully because they have a lot of catches in it. I almost didn't make my order. so I would only get the cheaper items from them. on the contrast I think StarkBros is great. I have never had an issue with them and their service is awesome. if there is an issue call them up and they'll do what they can to make it right. of the original trees I believe I have all of them still alive and kicking. I'll do an update to these soon.

    • @jimallison2057

      It may work out for the best. Willis was so irritating that I am learning air layering, grafting, cloning, cold stratification of seeds and searching for local suppliers. But I might try the StarkBros recommendation in the fall. I will be putting in 30 more fruit trees, I am glad I only made a small order with Willis Orchard.

      Wish I had seen your comment sooner. I believe sent me a dead grapevine . Did scratch test right when I received it n it was white underneath. They said grapevines are different from typical fruit trees and plants. That the cambium is white. Well, how do they explain that my other grapevine in my yard is green underneath when I did the scratch test. It’s one a dead stick. And they only offered credit for the purchase price. I only find it fair that they replace it when it was received dead to begin with.
