I'm a size 8 and 5'4 and I tried on a pair of plain blue jean jeggings last week at the mall . They were comfortable and I ended up buying them and I only wear high rise. I didn't read the label in the back pocket and I got home and read that they were mid rise .....I'm so short they fit as high rise 😂😂 ...my fav pair of jeggings is from American Eagle. Really want a pair of plain ones since I only have a ripped pair from AE.

I love mid rise jeans, I’m quite tall but it’s ALL leg so my torso is pretty much non existent. High rise jeans reach almost my bra line so mid rise jeans are a way better fit for me. I think it just depends on your body proportions
thank you for addressing that hormonal/ menstrual related issues can have an effect on how your body carries weight! i’m like you and carrie weight in my lower belly. my lower belly is always hard and bloated, and it affects how clothes fit. finally i don’t feel alone 💛
I also carry my weight in my lower stomach also. Always feeling bloated there. I definitely think I either have pcos or endometriosis. My period are super heavy and short and can be painful. And on top of it I have a long torso so it's just feel awful. But I love maurices and it's my favorite store. I have spent way to much money there. I tend to buy most of my clothes on sale and clearance at maurices. I constant watch the online sales. Its soo worth it
It actually has nothing to do with menstration like many believe. You do bloat of course but female bodies carry more weight in the abdominal area compared to our male counterparts, it's natural so dont worry to much about it 😁
I'm so short that mid-rise fit like a high rise to me and high-rise I could pretty much wear as a tube top jumpsuit. I've never seen a Maurice's but I noticed they have extra short which I'm here for.

I worked at Maurices through college and it is such a positive environment!❤️ The EverFlex are my fave. They’re designed to be more sustainably made and a higher quality denim than their normal jeggings. Also their jeggings (the ones sized S-XL) do tend to bag out! We’re told to always tell the customer to buy the smaller if they’re between sizes because of how much they stretch out. Glad you loved it there!!

YES I worked at Maurices for 3 years and the company is so amazing!!! The size range is so inclusive, 0-24 (not every store includes plus size, but online does) but the clothes are very well made and are reasonably priced!! I'm so happy to see you try Maurices!!!
i would love to see you do one of these at altar’d state! it has the same “vibe” as maurice’s as far as aesthetic goes and tries to be size inclusive with their “a” for standard sizing “b” (beautiful) for midsize and “c” (captivating) but i wonder how accurate and actually inclusive it truly is!
Just a few things about maurices form a former employee (I worked for maurices for 2 years): 1. they really push inclusivity and body positivity to their employees. I worked in one of the Canadian stores but I’m sure the American ones are similar. 2. We were trained/coached to compliment customers on things not related to size. 3. Maurices aims to be a “hometown store” meaning that they try to choose locations in smaller towns to keep the welcoming atmosphere instead of choosing bigger cities where they would make more money. 4. Keep checking the stores or online because their styles vary season to season (every 2.5-3months)!! There have been some seasons where I loved everything and others that I thought were all about grandma style so it really just depends!
Ooh do a video where you style clothes from Maurice’s for a week! There was one in Oregon by my grandparents and I used to go all the time. I’ll have to check and see if there are any around us now.

I worked there and our philosophy was always help the customer feel their best self. We would ask their sizes that they thought they were and we would personally pull outfits for them to eliminate the stress of shopping for their size. It was always so fun. I worked there three years and am so happy I got that opportunity. It genuinely helped me get over the idea that I have to fit into a certain size to be happy.
Honestly the people at the Maurice’s are some of the best employees I’ve ever met. It’s too bad some of their styles have gotten pretty meh in the past couple months. Or at least that’s my opinion, but if it’s your style, go right ahead and enjoy!

I like Maurice's. Not everything is my style, but I like that they have most of the same items in all the sizes. I vary between 14-18 so it's nice to try on items in one store.
We are basically shaped and sized exactly the same, I love a good dark wash mid rise skinny jeans with a loose crop top or cropped baggy sweater. You get that little tummy peek when you move around but you don’t feel sausaged or sticking out when you’re just trying to live your life. I would definitely consider trying it styled that way ☺️

I love maurices so much! I live in a small-ish town in northern utah and all we have is walmart, maurices, and rue 21. Maurices is definitely my favorite and the employees are super nice her too! Its were i buy all my jeans!
I worked at a maurices for two years and it was such a fun place to work. The company really emphasizes excellent customer service and body positivity, which makes it one of my favorite stores. Everflex jeans are my absolute FAVORITE. They are so comfy and stretchy and universally flattering!
My favorite jeans are from Maurice’s. I love the rose gold buttons on it. The pockets make my butt look big and the wash is my favorite. The fabric is softer than most jeans I’ve tried. Can’t forget that the front pockets are functional AND their high-waisted. The only thing that could be a deal breaker is the price. They cost about $50, but they’re so worth it. I went to old navy because that’s where my friend gets her jeans and they give me weird camel toe. Same with target jeans :(
