I just defeated this boss after like 50, attempts and TH-cam decided to show me a video of someone perfectly parrying and destroying this boss with breeze ..
I like how you just stood there for a second when his last deathblow marker appeared like "I didn't know you were so weak, You are nothing in front of me now" as a sort of payback to all the deaths he gave you when you were fighting him 1st time
When i finally killed him ( i don't even know how many tries it took me) and saw that he fucking resurrected and is throwing lightnings at me, i almost un-installed the game at that very moment. But i did eventually beat his ass, still having all my resurrections intact. Best feeling ever.
@@tanishkvamne4714 Yeah i thought about it but i want to "play fair" haha I've beaten Genichiro's ass in a fair fight, so no monkey will stand in my way. At least i hope, bc my patience is definitely slowly running out
Thats how the feathers work?!!?? I was so confused about it!! first time ever playing Sekiro and I'm stuck on Genichiro right now. 1st phase is pretty easy now, but the lightning always gets me. Will try this tomorrow!
The real sequel to Sekiro is every subsequent playthrough, where you absolutely dunk on every single boss that roadblocked you during your first playthrough.
Genichiro beat ma ass so many times I decided to delete my file one night after getting to his last phase. The next day I was so mad I started a new file and whooped him once I got to ashina castle on my first attempt!!!
Is this fight from a sort of New Game + scenario? I''m meeting up with this boss fairly soon (on my first play through) and I seem to be missing a lot of things (excluding simple practice with the mechanics). Either way.... this was a thing of beauty :) The game's fight mechanic is simple, relative to most games... but with such scope for nuance and player skill. Truly amazing game!
This was done onNG+9. Geni is a very early game boss and in my opinion it doesn’t matter if you fight him before or after Lady Butterfly. I knew Geni was the boss that made everyone “click” with the game so i sat down on my first play through and told myself that i won’t progress until i mastered his fight. The game takes patience but i promise, if you use Geni as a sort of “mentor” for the combat, you’ll get it very easy.
I feel like this is normal? I’m on NG+9 so maybe I’m biased. As an aside, try a no mikiri fight. It’s superrrr fun and enemies will do different combos if you parry a thrust
His reversals are very easy however doing a normal reversal deals damage to the player. Using the other reversal methods like Mist Raven or Combat Arts prevents me from taking damage at all. :)
Wow! I've heard of this game and was considering playing it. This makes it look like a great game, but unfortunately it will be far beyond my capabilities. Great video, though.
Listen, Sekiro is really hard and kicked my ass a bunch. But it’s brilliant and i’d highly recommend it to anyone who isn’t afraid of a little challenge.
@@cineglasses Yeah, thanks for the tip. Not every game is for every person, though. I had heard of this game but for a person my age and skill level I can see it would be total frustration.
@davidkaziska6192 oh, absolutely. This was only meant as a suggestion, really. Myself, I was horrible the first time I went through the game. And yet, it never felt unfair. I could always trace it back to a mistake I made and so I was motivated to continue improving. It is kinda life anything you do in life: you start doing something new, you're probably gonna suck. But actually improving and overcoming the challenge feels amazing. Its kind of a life lesson, in a way!
What is wrong with the speed of your game? It's as if everything became faster, attacks or movements Plus yet you missed a lot of perfect parries during your fight, if you fight without the Kuro's charm maybe you will notice, especially on the spiral cloud passage of Genichiro, so i hope in the next fights you will do better You have a lot to practice, so keep up a good work)
The longer you can do no hit the better you are. I’m also playing with 17 less attack power than i should as i dont like when the fights are short. Beating him fast or slow really doesn’t matter💀
Meanwhile Genichiro is having problems with his camera view in those corners the entire time.
He had no idea what to do!

This boss gave me so much trouble in my first play through. I promise you, next play through you’ll have him first try!
i grinded out inner genichiro and normal genichiro feels easy now lmao
@@sekirosternhopefully! I just started playing (15hrs playtime) and im currently stuck with the giant ape 😭
@@TraceGametimewait he's coming back? 😨
@@coz._. Not saying he will comeback necessarily but avoid YT or you'll get spoiled. Enjoy the game! :)
first playthrough: roadblock
second playthrough: Less tries than the monkey
This is the kind of boss you can't even imagine of dying from after you kill him.

One of the best boss fights that FS ever created
Awesome! Now return Kuro's charm...
🤯
I forgot how perfect Sekiro gameplay is.
At first I wondered how he was doing it, then I saw the mask
seeing this after spending 2 days on genichiro on my first playthrough is not humbling at all... (it totally didnt take over 60 tries)
Sekiro is just the best, no doubt about it. Beautiful and fierce at the same time, and your gameplay was reaaaal guuud
damn, clanging and banging like a madman

use the umbrella for the arrows it charges projected force .
i did not know that! Thank you
Absolutely, beautifully executed.

That was perfect!
Why thank you! 🙏
Great first phase, gorgeous second phase. Never knew you could parry lightning with the feather.
Can't wait to play this!

This is not a game. Its a Master pierce
Perfection 😗🤌
You are a parry beast!
🙏
I’m thinking about starting Sekiro after Shadow of the Erdtree.
Are you parrying all those attacks?
Is Sekiro as hard as people say it is?
You should definitely start it! It’s not as hard as people as it is.

You are right, Sekiro y just too easy. Yesterday I No Hit Inner Isshin on NG+3 and whit Campaing Demon

Why do you take damage with mist raven on the lightning
i don’t

it can be used to deflect lighting by jumping and using it as the lighting hits you.
