Managed to change my laptop battery thanks to the clear instructions in your video! I had no idea there were three screws hiding behind the rubber strip. Glad I didn't break the cover trying to force it open, haha!

If I'm being honest, you're not putting much of a dent in your bottom line with videos like these. I can guarantee you, the folks that would most take advantage of a video like this are people like me who have just enough experience with component upgrading to where they just need to know how to get in and what to look for, or computer tech students/self-learners that have a functioning computer to practice stuff like this on. There are only two other kinds of people in this world: busy people who don't have the time/patience to learn even the most rudimentary of computer maintenence tasks, and experts who would never need to watch this anyway because they know it already. Anywho, thanks for the vid! I now know how to get into my laptop and how to find the SSD slot so I can install it tomorrow night!

This was incredibly helpful! Would you know what to do if, after taking out and putting the battery back in, the computer is staying on the black screen? Full disclosure, I did turn it off by holding the power button before I knew not to do that…
@@ItsBinhRepaired update since, I’ve got new ram in and installed but the laptop is still turning on and staying on a black screen. For reference, when we first got the laptop in it first turned on and said boot drive available. We attempted to go into BIOS and the screen started to flicker and froze, and when we turned it back on it wouldn’t get past a black screen.
You replaced a b+m key (2 notches) sdd with an m key (1 notch) sdd?!! How is that possible? That socket accommodates both? Interestingly, in your video, the socket appears to be designed for m key (1notch) only and doesn't appear to support 2 notches. I wonder if that's the reason the ssd failed? I had the same exact problem (same exact laptop). FYI, I was able to figure out the ssd was bad through the diagnostic program in the bios screen. Running diagnostics gave me a long string of numbers & letters for the Hard Drive Failure ID.
I purchased a new battery for my 14-CF1015CL and just need to replace it. Other than following your process to open the laptop and removing the battery, do I need to reset bios or anything else?
What I would of done is put the old SSD into an external case and attach it to my laptop. Then run a diagnostic program to see if the SSD could be fixed. This has worked for me on 8 out 10 units. Kinda the same for a corrupt USB Key. Also, I clean the contacts with a pencil eraser. BTY I started working on computers in the mid 90"s. Yes I am old.

I had missing screws on my laptop so that’s why I had a plastic piece on top sticking up. Best Buy prob forgot to put the screws back in
