Thank you so much for bringing us back from the past. Our past was tough, but it was incredibly smart. Those inventions have elevated us so much today. There’s still a long way to go.
Mark, I think this is my favorite video I've watched of yours. I completely agree with you, and I hope you do more of these. Newest isn't always best. Cheers!
Well Mark, it certainly was a blast from the past I am 62 years of age and I certainly can remember radios like this back in those days I remember lying up the hallway with an old transistor radio. listening to good old 70s rock ‘n’ roll. Great video you did an amazing job restoring that to time piece. Take me back to a time that for me was very nostalgic and you know sometimes during this day of age, I wish I was back there And your video took me back there, and good for you, you have done something that I don’t think I have seen any other TH-camr do in a long time or for that matter. I don’t think anyone has done it. I think I’ve better stop now. I’m getting a touch too nostalgic but thanks for the memory.
That is an awesome restoration. The radio turned out beautifully. I love the older products because they were built to be maintained for years to come. Please upload more like this.
I LOVE that you ended the video with just a soothing faint hiss of empty static. Being a Ham Radio operator, i'm probably biased but playing around with retro tech is fun and actually makes me appreciate the modern stuff all the more. You can't appreciate where you ARE unless you know where you've BEEN. 😁
Aw, the stories it could tell. I used to think I was imagining that things used to last WAY longer than they do today. It's good to know I was not imagining it. It turned out beautifully! I didn't even know it was possible to fix some of those issues.
MORE PLEASE
The only thing that disappointed me is that the video was too short!
Thank you for sharing this amazing work and please make more videos like this.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I loved this video. It may seem insignificant, but old tech is everlasting

Well said!
my favorite tech youtuber is techmoan - he features retro stuff, so i will support this retro path that you're treading
My feed is full of retro-restorations because of his channel! 😂
I suspect this is the start of something great.
No, I won't unsubscribe, but I definitely want more of these videos now

Great video, I hope others appreciate it as well. Tech restoration is absolutely as cathartic as you mentioned.

I think this backfired, now I want a 1970s radio…….
Oh yes! I still use my world receiver with FM radio + RDS (radio data system). In Europe it will show the channel's name + more.
Yes please. You also upload ASMR version
