I would go to the movie theaters and pay money to watch this.
michelle brooke nah people would be on their phones, kids would cry, people whispering, etc. it's best to watch this at home alone lol for me anyways
michelle brooke same
Lusian I don't know about America but in Canada movie theatres are quiet af and you are extremely judged for making noise

michelle brooke hahaha his videos are really nice, I agree. I just started my own channel, do you mind checking it out? Thanks a lot!
Imagine having a knife that's actually sharp lol
*Soft crying*
@@zabbee2323 Some people don't have Sharpeners.
@@freeminecraft2003 I highly recommend looking up the Jacques Pepin knife video: th-cam.com/video/gq_JmJLOqxo/w-d-xo.html
He explains in 3 minutes better than I can in 1 hour how to sharpen a knife, using pretty much anything.
We use a stone that has a flat side found by a river side. It works. But still not this sharp. Also the bottom or ceramic cups and saucers work in a pinch.
do you have a can opener?
Maggatrix I’d stabbed myself for it HAHAHAHHA ahh fck...
That...was the most perfect onion chopping I've ever witnessed
OMG UR RIGHT
So true
Then you must come to india and see the way the local sellers chop it in a moving trains all in their palm while standing in a crowded place with just a small pocket knife. To top on that it happens in just 4-5 seconds for each onions of the same size and video.
Ujjawal X yeah with dirty hands 🤮

I personally NEEDED to discover you. Whenever I watch a cooking tutorial or whatever, they ALWAYS have music so I have to turn it down really low or outright mute it. This is PURE HEAVEN. THIS is what real cooking sounds like. #NoMusicFan
Parys West I am with you, 100%. The videos he makes are so wonderful as they are, but also no music to hurt me? Amazing.
honeykki also have good videos without annoying musics💕
I agree, no music in cooking videos is way better. I love this channel!
Agreed. Like we are here to learn cooking or baking and they are literally forcing hip hop into our ears....
Right girl?!
that's such a beautiful knife
Irene C damascus steel
It's an extremly good one too but very expensive . Lots of chefs use them .

Never in my life have I considered making dumplings, but when I saw it was just flour and water I decided to try it. I had all the ingredients except for shitake mushrooms. These turned out pretty damn good. They looked awful. I couldn't make perfect little circles, but they tasted great. Thanks, Peaceful Cuisine!
Griffox i was about to ask for a shiitake substitute. But thanks for this! I’ll give this dumpling recipe a try without shiitake!!
@@robemoves dumplings are one of the foods where you can mix it up with ingredients 😁
Kalli Rayne ayyy, thanks for the info. It’ll be my first time to cook dumpling. Haha
@@robemoves Any mushrooms would do actually.
The dumpling skin look so though than other dumplings. Is it good?
I was hypnotized when I first saw the video. I loved the photography and the sound. So I gather what I need and I just did this recipe tonight. My mom was delighted. I chop a lot for a long time but it worth it! Greetings from Mexico!
Cool story
i gasped then i realised i read photography as pornography 🤦♀️
sorry to ask it now but how mamy peices were you able to make with the recipe?
@@allieb.3334 Oh! It was a long time ago when I did it. I think more than 10 but I am not so sure.
@@abriluz hahah its ok, i just finished making them, i made ard 30+ cos i added too much filling 😬
The most cinematic cooking video I have ever seen.
that's a sharp knife.... I need one
MoonMoonFang it is a Bob Kramer stainless steel damascus i believe. They're gorgeous.
jelmo27 and cost a lot
you can sharpen any knife to be sharp as long as you have a good wetstone or sharpener (even super sharp knives will get dull after some use)
MoonMoonFang you need some MONEYY for dat
don't know why he doesn't use a Japanese knife. I know there are plenty of extraordinary knife brand and smith in Japan.
Quick tip for cabbage: If you're not planning on using the entire thing soon, just peel of the desired amount of leaves from the outside. Threst will stay fresh for much longer than a cut half, and you don't need to worry about having to eat cabbage the next few days. (Usefull in single households). Hope it helps someone :)
And thank you for all your videos, they are a great source of joy and peace!
Joe Ardanillo good tip, however, not all part of the cabbage tastes the same, the inner part of cabbage taste more tender and juicy than the leaves on the outside.
Always Never it’s all getting boiled anyways 🤷🏽♀️
Thank you 😊 I don’t why I never thought of this 😭
The same goes for any type of lettuce👍
my mom apply this tip everyday
I'm a teacher who hasn't prepared for a class I'm having in 4 hours.

I absolutely agree.
You have beautiful hands. They remind me of the greeks sculptures 😊😊😊
(Not intended to be creepy, sorry if it annoyed you, but I am an artist [my major interest is human anatomy] and if I see this things I can't help it but say it. Cheers!)
You are right tho.
Agreed , i can relate honestly because im an artist too
Yeah.. i thought so.. ☺
Those hands show hardworks
I didn't even realize what you said could've been interpreted as creepy
Honestly, I wish there would be entire cooking lessons like these, I have learned so much just from listening, watching, and seeing how he chops, etc. Super interesting and very cool...you should do a tutorial on your chopping skills!
i wonder how it feels to be able to actually cook like this

Anyone else happy because all you wanted was to learn how to make dumplings but got ASMR too??
박지민Yo Soraia what is asmr
N Qamarinna Asmr stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It's like a tingly feeling on the back of your head. Look it up, Google explains better than me haha
Tryna learn how to make dumplings but fell asleep because of asmr instead
I still don't really understand this asmr thing, but I do enjoy the natural sounds...
Not really! ASMR is for autistic retards.
You didn't joke when you said peaceful. It is strange how good this feels.
Thank god for this guy .... Usually cooking channels are filled with unwanted noise and wasted energy...
...than god for this guy
You have really pretty hands
I promise I'm not trying to be weird
too late. u look weird already, dude XD
Daniel Huang well, fuck :(

the cabbage cutting, oh the cabbage cutting
I just made this recipe, still cant believe i did it!!! It’s so perfect (also the shape)
the taste is so good and the sauce is very tasty. I LOVEEE IT SO MUCHHHH 😘💓❤️
This was just what I needed in these unsettling times. The calm simplicity is exquisite. Life goes on

That made me seriously lol
In India there is desert called gujhiya being prepared in festival holi shape is same
Watching your [No Music] videos is one of the best ways to relieve stress, I tell you. 😌
Kristina Grace hey Kristina, I just started a channel, do you mind checking it out? Thank You !
The sound of grinding toasted sesame seeds.... What a peaceful quiet inside my head
This is perfect. No music blasting at full volume. Nobody just talking to talk. Nothing except the sound of cooking
Ok, so I made this recipe last night. SO GOOD. My husband hates it when I make vegan food, but he LOVED these dumplings. Thank you much for your recipes and awesome videos. Lots of love from Ecuador :)
Maybe cause this is Polish pierogi and they are good with everything inside them
They're not Polish pierogis.
They're Chinese jiaozi or gyoza in Japanese.
thanks i was searching advice
@@qzg7857 Sadly you don't know the difference between a dumpling and a pierogi. A pierogi is boiled, then fried or baked. It's also traditionally in the shape of a crescent, but the fillings can vary widely.
@@RaroHi and the preparation of dumplings???
This is 100% the best cooking channel on youtube.
Serious respect man
Agreed !!!
This is a throwback, I used to fall asleep to your no music cooking videos in hs, I've now graduated college
The sounds of a cabbage are so pleasing. It's like music to my ears
ok but can we talk about his hands
Ok but no one is commenting on your hands anyways your hands are fucking heaven
was thinking the same but i thought it would be weird haha
Effie Hoult Same haha
Effie Hoult THATS WHAT I SAID.
finally someone mentioned that!!!!
His nails are beautiful as well.
I remember being a senior in college and I couldn't sleep. I found this video and it was able to calm my anxieties enough to help me fall asleep. This became a regular video and channel for me. It helps to quiet my mind and ease my worries when it is hard to do by myself.
I'm strolling down to see if anyone has commented on his hands haha
I would love to hear these sounds coming from my kitchen as I lay in bed and leisurely read a good book.....awwwww dreams😊💭
Same
Especially if that man was the love of your life, and a fine ass man. Smiling at you as he cooked and asked you about the book you were reading.
I want he to be my dad, cuz I'll be always eating some tasty dishes uwu (sorry my bad english, I'm just starting to learn this language sksksks)
@@ryuufairys well good luck then (wish me luck too,I'm in the same position 😛)
If I was cutting that onion you'd hear sniffling sounds in the background
cut the onions in half and drop them into the water for a couple of minutes will make it less pungent.
Or you could wet both of your cheeks before cutting
He's probably got his Asian cooking superpowers to stop him from sniffing and crying when he cuts the onions.
Sometimes if your knife is sharp enough, the blade won't cut through the spores of the onion which won't cause you to cry. It looks like his knife is pretty sharp, so I'm guessing that's why. (I could be wrong though)
GUYS I FOUND A LIFE HACK!
wipe your knife’s blade with olive oil before cutting onions. It WORKS!!! I just don’t know if other oils will do the job too. Waterworks beGONE
In our modern day world with multiple sensory overload a channel without the ever present noise and nerve wrecking "music" is a true blessing!!
Thank you for being true to the Zen like qualities of mindful and focused cooking!!
All the best to you!!
This feels like a movie scene. Everything is so pretty and... artistic, in a way. If that makes sense.
I want these knife skills.
my one goal is to cut as beautiful as this guy and to bring tears to those who witness.
endy s cut an onion and you're already halfway there
My favorite... no music version.. inner peace 🙏🏻
same with me
My depression is too much for me but I stand up because my husband deserves a nice meal. He deserves the best of this world. This video has given me motivation to cook something nice for him. Thank you so much!

At first, I was watching the version with soft music and saw there was this one without the music and thought -“Who would like that one?”- I was so judgmental! I truly believe this lifted my spirit, couldn’t be more grateful to find it 💖 Thank you ☺️
Perfect way to end the day.
no music IS THE BEST.
The sound of his knife cutting through the ingredients and the soft taps on the chopping board is like music in my ears. 😊
This is literally those Movie classic scene when the main characters mom makes food for school
I love the filter, the framing, camera angles and the fact that there's no music.
This channel redefines food for thought.
There is a big Japanese community where I live so these dumplins taste like my childhood. This bring back tender memories of eating at the festivals and at my Japanese friends' houses. Thank you for the video! I can't wait to make this dumplins!
This channel is so calming, god bless

You are AMAZING. I had not been able to sleep because of anxiety for ALMOST 48 HOURS. I didnt make it thru this video. Anxiety gone and I was asleep. Thank u so much!
ASMR is my kryptonite
Shhh guys it's still asmr 🌚
Gena Rai Shut the fuck up

Gena Rai dang you triggered him OH HAHAHHA
CC Dizame Wtf
If I had me a man who could cook like this....
cook your food yourself. there's no need to have someone else cook it for you.
chillipepper not everyone is passionate about cooking you know. I guess that car mechanics often wonder why people don’t fix the easy things themselves either, but then those people don’t share the passion for cars that the car mechanics (hopefully) do have. Not everyone wants to cook for themselves and to me that’s perfectly fine. Do whatever pleases you in life because life is too short doing things you don’t like
Can you imagine him cooking away peacefully and you ask ‘hey hun what’s for dinner’ and he shushes you
Yep every man dreams of having a woman like you. I got me one and i did all the cooking and cleanibg etc cause she was lazy as fuuuuuk. She loved havin a man like that also.
This is perhaps my all time favorite cooking video tutorial. Haven’t even seen the rest of the channel and know its an instant follow. Great work!

why u wishing? this dude just showed u step by step how to do it. Go do it. don't be lazy now

The knife strokes n every sound literally are so awesome for the visuals as the sound effects are to animated movies..
The thing about most asian cooks i have noticed is they are so neat, precise in measure, cut very evenly...just so perfect ❤
Never realized a good cut on vegetables makes the best ASMR sounds. Cause never had a proper sharp knife LOL

90% are here for asmr
10% for the actual cooking
im one of the 10% :)
Emily Pham I'm here for both , I don't like asmr but this is like gold
Lucy Hare I'm here for the aesthetic.
Same but also for asmr
Danne W same tbh
People keep saying ASMR, but I maintain this is something different and better. ASMR is just some strange tingle effect based on sound and someone maybe talking like they're taking care of you in some way. It's about being soothed. Filmmaking like this is about heightening awareness. It's like little zenny life lessons. After seeing these videos, I find I do ordinary, 'dull' things differently, with greater attention and pleasure: washing a bowl, folding the tea towel and putting it back on the oven door etc.
This is pure art. I'm so grateful I discovered you. Thank you!
All I was thinking about when he minced those "shiitakes" (which look like - and probably are mushrooms) was Prince Naveen in "The Princess & The Frog", where he learned how to chop mushrooms.
If you remember this You're my best friend 😢
Michelle Wanha
Princess and the Frog is my favorite movie, Tiana was all that😂
shiitake is mushroom in Japansese, just fyi :(
Ngân Mai I feel ashamed.
Nothing, dear :) Have a nice day!
Michelle Wanha that movie is my favourite too! but it was so underrated :( it doesn't get that much exposure like Frozen or Moana..
The timing is perfect! I'm a vegetarian and there was no problem until I realized that I couldn't eat dumplings anymore, and I had no idea how to replace the beef. Thanks!!
I think you can replace the meet with tofu (firm block tofu).
Amazing recipe. Very light and still satisfying. And nothing is over-complicated. Can't wait to try it out
This isn‘t just cooking. This is art.
I really enjoy the originality of this channel and the dedication he puts into it

Gadis Desa you can say that again
Every Human must

Gadis Desa ikr!
I was thinking the same opinion like u too
Today is the fifth or sixth time I’m watching/listening to this recipe. Many times, I put my headphones on and only listen to the sounds; they’re positively therapeutic.

The whole video is so satisfying. Especially all the chopping parts. And it is truly peaceful.
its not just the asmr its the cinematography of it all
You have such a lovely way of preparing food. You have such a respect for food that is so inspiring to watch. Food is what we are made out of and to watch someone share the same passion as I have for the very thing that nurtures us is refreshing. Thank you.
Semi Veg Totally agree with you. This is so inspiring to be mindful and thankful while cooking for the luxury that is food. And not just thinking of cooking as just another chore.
Humans are not food to us unless you’re cannibalistic
Let's calm the fuCK down
this is so A E S T H E T I C
this is so aesthetic-......what? Aesthetically pleasing you mean? Yes, you're right.
Aesthetic means look or appearance. This is so "Look", This is so "appearance".
@@mimaesthetic2517 exactly. Just saying that much doesn't make sense 😂
The point people are trying to make is that the visuals are pleasing to the eye. That's like going to a restaurant and saying "that is so food" instead of "tasty"

his cooking style and cinematography is literally the definition of anime food in real life
