When the member of the Sweet Inspirations Estelle Brown said, 'We were touched by an angel', she meant in the emotional, spiritual, and loving kindness more than any person they ever knew. They know he was human, but who on earth, still to this day can make you feel the way Elvis could? I have seen little kids listen to his music and love his voice, and of course seeing a reactor, a lady from Africa who knew nothing about him, responded to "If I Can Dream'. and said, "This is the most Beautiful Song I have ever heard.", and a couple from a small Island called Alba, off of Scotland first saw Elvis and "If I Can Dream", they both said this is so beautiful, and it makes us think of the great country of America. Elvis is America. He brought people together, to have never toured Europe, he sure is loved and appreciated beyond his history. Thanks joe.🙂

Mitte... Kathy. I got choked up a couple of times at the end as well. I have lost all respect for Priscilla for what she has done to Elvis, Lisa, and now her granddaughter Riley. Thank you, for reading this book and bringing the pages to life. (hugs) Elvis isn't suffering anymore. He went home to be with the only real King.

MITTE Kathy.Thank you for reading this book out oud. I would have never been able to buy it.Kathy and Elvis were very blessed to be in each other's lives. She !am have been the closest female to Elvis, second only to his mother.I'm sure Vernon and Minnie Mae,and Lisa Marie's lives were never the same after Elvis was gone.In my opinion,NEVER in history has a mortal man since Elvis been mourned by the WORLD.Still loved and mourned to this day.Thank you Dear God for allowing such a man to visit our lives. He was and will remain eternally King of Rock.Elvis never acknowledged being the king of anything. He always gave God the praise and Glory !!

Joe I absolutely loved listening to you read this book and your reactions. Thank you so much! What a great book and one I’ve always wanted to read. Elvis died almost 5 years before I was born and I got hooked on him
going through my aunt’s old records. Just visited Graceland with my sister last month for the second time, the first time being 18 years ago. Wish I could visit every year but live in Ireland. No one will ever come close to our Elvis ❤

I couldn't stop crying! Thank God I wasn't working so I could watch everything. My daughter was just 6 months old. The stores were playing his songs, I stayed home as much could. Some friends of mine drove to Memphis from Northern California where I lived. There were suisides everywhere happening due to Elvis death. He had such impact all over the word.

Mitte-Kathy Joe, I totally😢 agree when you speak about Elvis’ magnificence. No other can even come close to being the singer and entertainer he was. I went to 2 of his concerts and I was totally and completely mesmerized. I’m not a screamer, lol, but I was in awe the entire time that I watched and listened to him. It’s difficult to put into words the feelings I experienced watching him. He was so passionate and powerful when he sang. Kathy’s last chapter was very sad, but she gave him a beautiful tribute. They had a special love and friendship over the years. I could listen to the last chapter again, though it’s so very sad. I did think it odd that not much was said about Ginger during this time. More than likely, Elvis did have congestive heart failure. It does result in a lot of swelling as the heart has to work so hard. I understand being emotional reading the end of this book. Anyone that loved Elvis would be tearful hearing these words from Kathy. I still get emotional when I listen to him singing. I haven’t watched the Netflix special because of Prissy being in it so much. I saw the one at the movies last year that Steve Binder produced. It was awesome. I wish Elvis would have stayed with Steve Binder. Elvis might have had a different ending.

My cousin dated one of the doctors on duty at Baptist when his body came in. He was doing his internship at the time, and hes now retired. He was unrecognizable as Elvis bc his face was distorted badly. He said that 30 lbs of feces was removed from his body. His colon was completely flaccid from all the narcotics and twisted colon he had. Narcotics constipated badly (I'm a nurse and this is something we have to look for in patients, assessing bowel movements details bc of constipation). Elvis' colon was pretty much non-functional. I have read/heard Billy Smith had to help him with Fleet's enemas and to soak in a warm water tub to try to get him to have a bowel movement. Between the feces removal after death and fluid removal, he was back down to a nice slim size. He really wasn't fat - it was just fluid and feces. There's no telling how much fluid came off him, as well.

I really enjoyed Kathy's book. There were a few things in it that I didn't necessarily agree with but, overall, it was a good thoughtful book. I think she tried to be honest in her perspective. She certainly cleared up some things. Also, I really appreciate how she "presented" Elvis the man and Elvis the entertainer. He was smart, intelligent, thoughtful, insightful, good conversationalist, fun, etc., and even during the more difficult times in his life, he's able to regroup and reassert himself. For me, she gives him much more credibility as a man than how he's presented in Lucy's book of being weak, not in control, dependent, and indecisive. Thank you for reading it. MITTE-Kathy.

I thank God that he gave Cathy to Elvis to have the seven years. He needed a friend like her that really understood him and he 100% trusted. I’m looking forward to listening to the other books. I have read Ginger‘s book that I look forward to listening to it with you and hearing your commentary. The same with Joyce Boaz book. Perhaps consider reading the book by June Juanico : In the Twilight of Memory. This book is full of unfulfilled dreams, lovers' lost, and the impetuousness of youth. It also presents a different picture of Elvis.

Yea Elvis sent Ginger home bcuz she didn't want to go on tour w/him. He told her if u don't go, I'll get somebody else. I personally 🤔 Elvis got engaged w/Ginger to keep her around bcuz his health was deteriorating & he didn't want to be alone. Billy the cuzin said on his utube channel Elvis Fans Matter said Elvis told him he would never go down that road again getting married. Billy said no way Elvis was going to marry Ginger. What a wonderful book! Thk u Joe so much 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. U can't see me but I'm giving u a standing ovation. It bothers me how so many people report little details differently about Elvis’ passing. Not because the details are important but because it’s hard to know who to trust. Joe Esposito said Elvis had the book clutched in his hands still. In Ginger’s book she stated that the book was not the Face of Jesus (Shroud of Turin book) but a book called ‘Sex and Psychic Energy’ and that it was propped open in his reading chair. Kathy was told it was the Face of Jesus book. I can understand friends wanting to keep the details of Elvis’ death more private. The world didn’t need to know if he had been sitting on the toilet or not, or which book he had been reading. What bothers me is just that people make things up. Just don’t say anything at all if you want to keep Elvis’ love private. But instead they all wrote books with conflicting details.

i think they tried to make the to make it seem like Elvis passed in a more "dignified" way.

There's a book called Destined to Die Young that's supposed to make a lot of sense. Another book by Billy Stanley called the Faith of Elvis. Billy had an NDE and saw Elvis in heaven

This book was good and I believe Kathy, its just I feel there was collaborations and there is nothing wrong with that. She did reveal some interesting things that I wasn't aware of. We've been told they all were like family, there were definitely clicks among them, for instance Larry, Charlie and Kathy, then JD, Charlie and Kathy. Possibly the reason why, they were the ones that really loved and cared for Elvis. I was able to keep my emotions up until you lost yours and then I lost mine.

Because I couldn't go, I did send flowers. My ex husband was so jealous of Elvis it was difficult to grieve as I wanted.

I’ve been following along with your reading of Kathy’s book, which I had previously looked for but couldn’t find. At first, I wasn’t going even going to do that, because I questioned her credibility to be objective, since I had heard in an interview that she said that Elvis had died of bone cancer. I figured she just wanted to erase the stigma of drug overdose, or maybe a heart attack brought on by fried banana and peanut butter sandwiches. Then I started looking at photos of him during that final year, where sometimes he’d look pretty normal, or at least not excessively obese, and then a few months later he had ballooned to, reportedly, over 300 pounds. It’s easy to see in those “fat” photos that he was suffering from something that was causing him to retain lots of fluid. Kathy said early in the book that Elvis had told her that he had something that was cancer “like.” Indeed, there are a lot of illnesses where symptoms can be misdiagnosed as cancer, and perhaps were not so easily distinguished by 1970s medical technology. Listening to her story has changed my mind (and your “Elvis voice” makes things more vivid than they otherwise would be). Now I wish she would update and republish it. Anyway, I was skeptical about Kathy, and now I’m not, so I decided to try the Lucy book, even though my initial reaction to the idea of yet another secret child of Elvis was to roll my eyes.

Sam Thompson said Elvis was in the front foyer for fans to walk past coffin. This would easy allow fans in and out front door. Perhaps it was more intimate for family and friends to be with Elvis in the piano room and then moved him gor the fans to file past. Also Joe clearly misled us about Elvis dying in bed. His look gave that away. Elvis arrested when sitting reading in his barber chair. He did not die on the toilet. I believe Elvis had multi organ failure due to his antitrypsn deficiency which explain recurrent chest infections, coronary issues and thrush which was most likely caused by prolonged anti biotic use. I have seen footage of Elvis using asthma puffers pre show to help open his airway and I suspect he had cardiovascular pulmonary overload through no fault of his own. He was not self destructive at all.
