1:16:31 I remember being part of this. Everyone was scrambling and trying to spread the word to meet the goal. It was hectic but fun. Sucks that the organization turned out shady but BTS' and ARMYs' intent was goodhearted.
36:00 as the oldest, he was the first to enlist on December last year. He's now an instructor in his base, job position not many soldier trainees can do, since it requires strength, discipline and hard work. He got that in him 150%. He had a rank bump recently too. J-Hope got in in April and after the 5week mandatory training, he became an instructor as well, you can see why with their 2 short profiles here ;)
Really enjoyed your reaction. Side note; Their ages are off by 1-2 years due to Korea having a different age system that just changed last week. JK was actually 13 when he joined the group and that is why he told the guys thank you for raising me. Suga would work extra side jobs to bring money in to help pay for his meals other things for the other members. The guys have actually been together longer than 10 years as well. RM and Suga lived together since 2010 and then the rest of the members started joining. V and Jimin went to high school together and have a closer relationship with each other because of that plus they are both 95 (the year they were born) and why sometimes you will hear the word soulmate when it comes to them too because they are best friends and can read each other easily. BTS lived in that one bedroom apartment for a few years and then were given the option to move out on their own but they decided to stay together and got a bigger apartment where once again they lived there for another few years. They once again had the option to move out on their own but once again decided to stay together till 2021 when they finally got their own homes. I think has been key to them being super tight plus how they resolve their issues. They are brothers who love, support and defend each other. No other group is like that. There is no jealousy or competition energy amongst them. They actually help each other out in their solo projects. The more you dive in, the more you learn about them. There is so much BTS content. They really paved the way for the younger idol groups...ie Stray Kids, when it comes to online content. If it weren't for them, SKZ code, SKZoo, etc. and similar content from other groups would probably not exist. (Fun fact - Lee Know was once a backup dancer for BTS and you can catch glimpses of him in some of their stage performances). There are a lot of things that are missing from this intro now that it's a year old. Jin and Jhope are now serving their mandatory military time (18 months minimum) with the others to follow soon. They got matching tattoos (only Jimin and JK were members that already had tattoos), and they released an anthology album in June of last year "Proof" that included a few new songs, the vocal line (Jin, Jungkook, V & Jimin) had a song with Benny Blanco & Snoop Dog released ("Bad Decisions"), J-Hope released his solo mini album "Jack in the Box", played Lalapalooza, and had a single collaborating with J-Cole ("Hope on the Streets") before his enlistment, Jin released a solo in collaboration with Coldplay ("The Astronaut") as a gift to ARMY before his enlistment, RM has featured on several songs (Balming Tigers' "Sexy Nukim" and Colde's "Don't ever say love me"), released his solo album "Indigo" and seems to be working on another album? before he starts his military enlistment, Suga produced and featured on Psy's "That That", released his solo album "D-3" and has been touring (he will serve a different type of enlistment due to a long-term injury that prevents him from serving like the others), Jimin released his mini-album "Face" (enlistment TBD), Jungkook had a single with Charlie Puth ("Left and Right") that was released last year and something to be released in a few days from now ("7") and V's stared in a few reality shows with some of his friends/Hwarang castmates, and his album will be released sometime soon (TBD), then the rest of the guys will enlist with the hope of reuniting in 2025. So many other things (brand endorsements, government appointments, etc.) have happened too that it's way too much to remember/write down, but these are the highlights.
Facts that some still cannot accept even up to these days. Some are still in denial. Many artists are looking up to them and most of them even said BTS did paved the way but BTS being humble beings said that it's all because of every group's hardwork but still they did open the gateway for others to promote more outside SK.

At my age, I get concerned about the future world my grandkids will grow up in, but BTS has given me hope with their incredible positivity and global influence. Lowkey got emotional watching this. I've been ARMY since 2018 and am so eternally greatful to these boys. They have taught me so many life lessons. They were the first k-pop group that i stanned. 60 year old army ex academic. BTS ARMY comes from all age groups and walks of life. They are special and it's good to see reactors respecting their work, talent and characters. They stand for a lot and there is no group that ticks all the boxes yet remains humble and sincere to their craft and their fans. Each and everyone deserves love and respect. We may have our biases but OT7 is the best.

People who laugh about K-Pop should give themselves an hour to just watch this. The guys have nothing but exceptional messages about life. When they say ARMY are all ages it’s true. From young people to us older folks. I’m 65 but there are 70, 80 plus adults and we adore BTS. They cross all boundaries from age, sex, genre, language, and cultures etc. take your time getting to know them so you don’t burn yourself out. After all, they’re on an 18 month break due to Korean mandatory Military duty. They’ll come back together in 2025 so you’ll have plenty of time. Getting tickets is hard. They sell out stadiums in 3-5 minutes even for a 3 day concert. Their largest arena was 90,000 people. Stadium numbers are closer to 80,000. People fly in from all over the world to watch their concerts. Well anyway welcome to BTS World. We’re happy to have you and I’ve subscribed because I don’t want to miss your journey with us! BTS has worked harder than anyone I know. Their discography is over 300 songs. Then add in the solo work they're doing now. So few people give him the credit he deserves, and yes, he does look so nice, and so fatherly, and he has been a father to them in fact. BTS is a 7 member group who is now in their 10th year with a 350+ track discography largely written and produced by the members themselves conjoined by their inhouse producers. The leader 'RM' has 210+ credits making him the youngest most credited artist in Korea and the rest of the members are not far behind. BTS is known for being extremely profound at articulating what they introspect and composing it into the sound they with their artistic knowledge believe will deliver the emotion of their lyricsm. They began with their roots in hiphop but have experimented their way into currently having above 10+ genres in their discography with the main being hiphop, pop, r&b and electronic, but majority of the time its a fusion of these genres, or their subgenres. Like latin pop, old school hiphop with boom bap, rap rock, dance pop, ballads, emo hiphop, jazz etc. Since they articulate so well, their music is very human oriented adressing extreme mental health issues (all they way from comforting, motivating, to eery delivery with raw mvs that youtube asks for viewers discretion), sociopolitical commentary etc. Their discography shows the growth from school boys to the tribulations of youth, to addressing temptation, to reaching maturity, to loving onself, to finding the core essence of the mind (i work in the field of psychology and i have yet to find an artist that is as profound as bts in accurately potraying psychological themes) to fighting the pandemic to now doing solo albums as each of the bts members complete their mandatory military. They will come back as a group in 2025!

I am a bored now 63 year old. Been Army since 2014. Honest to God I have seen and read everything. Every question you had I was shouting through my phone I wanted to teach you everything I know! They saved me after my mother died and there are many of us that feel that way. BTS connects like no one else. You literally love them and cry with them through good and bad. I had been a Kpop fan before but BTS was more than music.
I love how he said that J-hope and jimin were the top two when in came to looks in his opinion because j-hope would receive backlash for not fitting beauty standards. He made up his mind purely based on seeing their personalities and smiles and I loved that. 💜

They are going by Korean age counting in this video, which they used in S Korea until this year. They have now switched to global age counting. By Korean age counting you are considered 1 year old at birth and another year old at the new year. So you could be born at the end of December and be a few days old and be counted as two years old. Jungkook was born in September of 1997 and he moved into the dorm in June of 2011 before his 14th birthday by global age counting. He was still in middle school and so he transferred from a middle school in his hometown to a middle school near their apartment in Seoul. When they debuted in 2013 he was 15 years old. Yes, that is unusually young in the Idol industry, which makes it all the more remarkable that he became their lead vocalist. Their ages at debut, by global age counting, were: Jin - 20 Suga - 20 j-hope - 19 RM - 18 Jimin - 17 V - 17 Jungkook - 15 55:29 They have actually been on The Tonight Show a lot, both as a group, and as soloists, and doing live streamed performances during the pandemic. Jimmy is actually a huge fan of BTS and a Jimin bias. I would say he is hands down their favorite US show host. Jimmy and Jimin did a whole comedy bit about what a superfan of Jimin he is. He did a whole week of live performances of BTS streamed from S Korea during the pandemic. He also took them on the subway in NY before where they played games, and they made sandwiches together at a famous NY deli. They also performed their song ON, live in the Grand Central Station for The Tonight Show. Jimmy was so impressed and excited that they shut down the station for them to perform and he got to be a part of it. It was a super historic and iconic moment. 56:20 Many people are confused by this - Why they hid V til their debut: Big Hit was broke. They were mortgaged to their eyeballs trying to train their first group. They were suffering industry lockout as a small company in a very hierarchically controlled music industry where the big companies have all the connections and resources and relationships with tv networks and journalists and concert halls, etc. BTS was a very different kind of group, based on talent more than looks in the idol industry that was all built around looks over substance. Most of them (the rap line and Jimin) did not fit conventional and strict male idol beauty standards. They were denigrated as "the ugly idol group." Jin was cast specifically because they needed a "pretty face" in the mix and they just purely lucked out that he turned out to be such a phenomenal powerhouse singer. Jungkook was cute, but also only 15. V was a couple years older and more appropriate for them to cast in a "sexy" role in the group. He was also very muti talented, as you heard him talk about with his audition. Big Hit was trying to advertise and build buzz in any way that they could. One thing they did was have the guys blog and vlog and put up behind the scenes videos etc, using free social media before they even debuted. It was not something other idol groups did. Usually they maintained a mystery and mystique around their performers. Another thing they did was keep V hidden so that this very attractive and talented member could be a surprise at their debut and help them build buzz. It did work as intended but it was somewhat hard on V. Other members got to make videos and connect with the first fans and were starting to get fan mail, while he had to hide. 1:08:42 As a j-hope bias you will not get an argument from me that he is beautiful. Jimin too. They are all gorgeous in different ways. The idol industry just has this weird, anime-like unreal standard for looks. 1:14:30 The little BTS characters are called Tiny Tans. You can find video shorts online of them. Tiny Tans is a play on Bangtan from their name Bangtan Sonyeondan / Bulletproof Boyscouts. Another nickname for BTS among ARMY is the Tannies. Jimin is such a pure person, once he started crying and embarrassed himself for making two mistakes in a performance, it shows how different he sees himself from everyone else. If that had happened to another member, he would have told him that it's no big deal and completely normal, but he's so strict with himself🥺💜
new army here, it started when i saw Jin dancing freely in an award, but after watching their videos i can't help but love them all, their dedication and hard work is incomparable, they are all talented, care for each other, lovable personality and a good example and inspiration not only for the youth but for all ages. There’s SO MUCH BTS content you may go sleepless for days AND Kdramas is a whole different animal… my 1st Kdrama 2021 I watched Tale of the Nine Tailed and got hooked on Kdramas and while looking on TH-cam for info on tale of the Nine Tailed came across BTS - car karaoke- and the rest is history for me with BTS… I LOVE all 7 of them, 1st was RM, then JIN, now my bias is SUGA, but they’re all wreckers… I have 17 BTS cd albums and solo cd albums… never been to one of their concerts, probably never will be able to - cost wise, distance and too many people - social introvert🤣… I’ve seen PTD concert on Disney - absolutely blown away -- and saw the BUSAN concert online day of and on prime video…. 36:00 as the oldest, he was the first to enlist on December last year. He's now an instructor in his base, job position not many soldier trainees can do, since it requires strength, discipline and hard work. He got that in him 150%. He had a rank bump recently too.

Really enjoyed your reaction. Side note; Their ages are off by 1-2 years due to Korea having a different age system that just changed last week. JK was actually 13 when he joined the group and that is why he told the guys thank you for raising me. Suga would work extra side jobs to bring money in to help pay for his meals other things for the other members. The guys have actually been together longer than 10 years as well. RM and Suga lived together since 2010 and then the rest of the members started joining. V and Jimin went to high school together and have a closer relationship with each other because of that plus they are both 95 (the year they were born) and why sometimes you will hear the word soulmate when it comes to them too because they are best friends and can read each other easily. BTS lived in that one bedroom apartment for a few years and then were given the option to move out on their own but they decided to stay together and got a bigger apartment where once again they lived there for another few years. They once again had the option to move out on their own but once again decided to stay together till 2021 when they finally got their own homes. I think has been key to them being super tight plus how they resolve their issues. They are brothers who love, support and defend each other. No other group is like that. There is no jealousy or competition energy amongst them. They actually help each other out in their solo projects. The more you dive in, the more you learn about them. How can you not respect and love them. They give us so much hope to keep pushing because there is light at the end of the tunnel . If you want to learn more, check out these videos. There is so much BTS content. They really paved the way for the younger idol groups...ie Stray Kids, when it comes to online content. If it weren't for them, SKZ code, SKZoo, etc. and similar content from other groups would probably not exist. (Fun fact - Lee Know was once a backup dancer for BTS and you can catch glimpses of him in some of their stage performances). There are a lot of things that are missing from this intro now that it's a year old. Jin and Jhope are now serving their mandatory military time (18 months minimum) with the others to follow soon. They got matching tattoos (only Jimin and JK were members that already had tattoos), and they released an anthology album in June of last year "Proof" that included a few new songs, the vocal line (Jin, Jungkook, V & Jimin) had a song with Benny Blanco & Snoop Dog released ("Bad Decisions"), J-Hope released his solo mini album "Jack in the Box", played Lalapalooza, and had a single collaborating with J-Cole ("Hope on the Streets") before his enlistment, Jin released a solo in collaboration with Coldplay ("The Astronaut") as a gift to ARMY before his enlistment, RM has featured on several songs (Balming Tigers' "Sexy Nukim" and Colde's "Don't ever say love me"), released his solo album "Indigo" and seems to be working on another album? before he starts his military enlistment, Suga produced and featured on Psy's "That That", released his solo album "D-3" and has been touring (he will serve a different type of enlistment due to a long-term injury that prevents him from serving like the others), Jimin released his mini-album "Face" (enlistment TBD), Jungkook had a single with Charlie Puth ("Left and Right") that was released last year and something to be released in a few days from now ("7") and V's stared in a few reality shows with some of his friends/Hwarang castmates, and his album will be released sometime soon (TBD), then the rest of the guys will enlist with the hope of reuniting in 2025. So many other things (brand endorsements, government appointments, etc.) have happened too that it's way too much to remember/write down, but these are the highlights.
Facts that some still cannot accept even up to these days. Some are still in denial. Many artists are looking up to them and most of them even said BTS did paved the way but BTS being humble beings said that it's all because of every group's hardwork but still they did open the gateway for others to promote more outside SK.

60 year old army ex academic. BTS ARMY comes from all age groups and walks of life. They are special and it's good to see reactors respecting their work, talent and characters. They stand for a lot and there is no group that ticks all the boxes yet remains humble and sincere to their craft and their fans. Each and everyone deserves love and respect. We may have our biases but OT7 is the best.

People who laugh about K-Pop should give themselves an hour to just watch this. The guys have nothing but exceptional messages about life. When they say ARMY are all ages it’s true. From young people to us older folks. I’m 65 but there are 70, 80 plus adults and we adore BTS. They cross all boundaries from age, sex, genre, language, and cultures etc. take your time getting to know them so you don’t burn yourself out. After all, they’re on an 18 month break due to Korean mandatory Military duty. They’ll come back together in 2025 so you’ll have plenty of time. Getting tickets is hard. They sell out stadiums in 3-5 minutes even for a 3 day concert. Their largest arena was 90,000 people. Stadium numbers are closer to 80,000. BTS has worked harder than anyone I know. Their discography is over 300 songs. Then add in the solo work they're doing now. Their collaborations are numerous (Warren G, Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, Lil Nas X, Wale, J Cole, the Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, Desiigner, Halsey, Charlie Puth, Juice WRLD, Coldplay, etc...).

BTS is a 7 member group who is now in their 10th year with a 350+ track discography largely written and produced by the members themselves conjoined by their inhouse producers. The leader 'RM' has 210+ credits making him the youngest most credited artist in Korea and the rest of the members are not far behind. BTS is known for being extremely profound at articulating what they introspect and composing it into the sound they with their artistic knowledge believe will deliver the emotion of their lyricsm. They began with their roots in hiphop but have experimented their way into currently having above 10+ genres in their discography with the main being hiphop, pop, r&b and electronic, but majority of the time its a fusion of these genres, or their subgenres. Like latin pop, old school hiphop with boom bap, rap rock, dance pop, ballads, emo hiphop, jazz etc. Since they articulate so well, their music is very human oriented adressing extreme mental health issues (all they way from comforting, motivating, to eery delivery with raw mvs that youtube asks for viewers discretion), sociopolitical commentary etc. Their discography shows the growth from school boys to the tribulations of youth, to addressing temptation, to reaching maturity, to loving onself, to finding the core essence of the mind (i work in the field of psychology and i have yet to find an artist that is as profound as bts in accurately potraying psychological themes) to fighting the pandemic to now doing solo albums as each of the bts members complete their mandatory military. They will come back as a group in 2025!

I am a bored now 63 year old. Been Army since 2014. Honest to God I have seen and read everything. Every question you had I was shouting through my phone I wanted to teach you everything I know! They saved me after my mother died and there are many of us that feel that way. BTS connects like no one else. You literally love them and cry with them through good and bad. I had been a Kpop fan before but BTS was more than music.
I love how he said that J-hope and jimin were the top two when in came to looks in his opinion because j-hope would receive backlash for not fitting beauty standards. He made up his mind purely based on seeing their personalities and smiles and I loved that. 💜

Jungkook was actually 13 when he moved into the dorm with his brothers. They are going by Korean age counting in this video, which they used in S Korea until this year. They have now switched to global age counting. By Korean age counting you are considered 1 year old at birth and another year old at the new year. So you could be born at the end of December and be a few days old and be counted as two years old. Jungkook was born in September of 1997 and he moved into the dorm in June of 2011 before his 14th birthday by global age counting. He was still in middle school and so he transferred from a middle school in his hometown to a middle school near their apartment in Seoul. When they debuted in 2013 he was 15 years old. Yes, that is unusually young in the Idol industry, which makes it all the more remarkable that he became their lead vocalist.

They have actually been on The Tonight Show a lot, both as a group, and as soloists, and doing live streamed performances during the pandemic. Jimmy is actually a huge fan of BTS and a Jimin bias. I would say he is hands down their favorite US show host. Jimmy and Jimin did a whole comedy bit about what a superfan of Jimin he is. He did a whole week of live performances of BTS streamed from S Korea during the pandemic. He also took them on the subway in NY before where they played games, and they made sandwiches together at a famous NY deli. They also performed their song ON, live in the Grand Central Station for The Tonight Show. Jimmy was so impressed and excited that they shut down the station for them to perform and he got to be a part of it. It was a super historic and iconic moment.

Many people are confused by this - Why they hid V til their debut:
Big Hit was broke. They were mortgaged to their eyeballs trying to train their first group. They were suffering industry lockout as a small company in a very hierarchically controlled music industry where the big companies have all the connections and resources and relationships with tv networks and journalists and concert halls, etc. BTS was a very different kind of group, based on talent more than looks in the idol industry that was all built around looks over substance. Most of them (the rap line and Jimin) did not fit conventional and strict male idol beauty standards. They were denigrated as "the ugly idol group." Jin was cast specifically because they needed a "pretty face" in the mix and they just purely lucked out that he turned out to be such a phenomenal powerhouse singer. Jungkook was cute, but also only 15. V was a couple years older and more appropriate for them to cast in a "sexy" role in the group. He was also very muti talented, as you heard him talk about with his audition. Big Hit was trying to advertise and build buzz in any way that they could. One thing they did was have the guys blog and vlog and put up behind the scenes videos etc, using free social media before they even debuted. It was not something other idol groups did. Usually they maintained a mystery and mystique around their performers. Another thing they did was keep V hidden so that this very attractive and talented member could be a surprise at their debut and help them build buzz. It did work as intended but it was somewhat hard on V. Other members got to make videos and connect with the first fans and were starting to get fan mail, while he had to hide.

The little BTS characters are called Tiny Tans. You can find video shorts online of them. Tiny Tans is a play on Bangtan from their name Bangtan Sonyeondan / Bulletproof Boyscouts. Another nickname for BTS among ARMY is the Tannies. They also have another line of animated characters used in merch and emojis and things called BT21 (Bangtan 21st century) and those characters are mostly animals, as well as a cookie and an alien. Each member designed their own character art, concept and story, in partnership with the Line company. The characters are Koya (RM), RJ (Jin), Shooky (Suga), Mang (j-hope), Chimmy (Jimin), Tata (V), Cooky (Jungkook), and Van, their guardian robot who represents ARMY.

That's 90,000 British fans singing to BTS in Korean, a song that was already dear to their hearts. That was a project organized by ARMY and we were able to get the concert staff to help with a countdown and playing the backing track. BTS were shocked and deeply touched. All of them were crying, but particularly Jungkook, Jimin and j-hope.
Here is a video of that (incidentally it says 60,000 fans in the video but that is incorrect. They sold out Wembley Stadium, one of only a handful of artists in history to do that, and it has a capacity of 90,000.)

Jimin is such a pure person, once he started crying and embarrassed himself for making two mistakes in a performance, it shows how different he sees himself from everyone else. If that had happened to another member, he would have told him that it's no big deal and completely normal, but he's so strict with himself🥺💜
new army here, it started when i saw Jin dancing freely in an award, but after watching their videos i can't help but love them all, their dedication and hard work is incomparable, they are all talented, care for each other, lovable personality and a good example and inspiration not only for the youth but for all ages. There’s SO MUCH BTS content you may go sleepless for days AND Kdramas is a whole different animal… my 1st Kdrama 2021 I watched Tale of the Nine Tailed and got hooked on Kdramas and while looking on TH-cam for info on tale of the Nine Tailed came across BTS - car karaoke- and the rest is history for me with BTS… I LOVE all 7 of them, 1st was RM, then JIN, now my bias is SUGA, but they’re all wreckers… I have 17 BTS cd albums and solo cd albums… never been to one of their concerts, probably never will be able to - cost wise, distance and too many people - social introvert🤣… I’ve seen PTD concert on Disney - absolutely blown away -- and saw the BUSAN concert online day of and on prime video…. They are just AMAZING… They make me smile, laugh, happy and cry… I’m 64yo, my son calls me a fan girl, I guess I am and will be (BTS) FOREVER I still have a lot more BTS content to watch, it’s never ending 💜💕🫶🏼🫰🏼💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
