Blitzo care's he just doesn't know how to show it, He blames him self for the failing of his past relationships and how they seem to be better off with out him around he's the one every one of them blames for stuff going wrong and "people" getting hurt now he's scared to show up because he doesn't want to hurt him he didn't realize that he Can in fact be hurt or killed it's not "safe" for Blitzo to be around him, Blitzo was keeping him at arm's length because Stolas can do so much better then him.
I know Blitz is dealing with his own trauma and pain but if he doesn’t treat Stolas right soon then *I* will.
The pain I felt reading their texts, brought up some memories I was wanting to move past. But it’s a great connection to the character’s current emotional state for the people who have been there.
@@petthequeenofmaddness8592 we all know deep down that blitzo cares for stolas and want the best for him, but that does not change the fact that blitzo avoiding, deflecting or lashing out against things that makes him upset instead of communicating, especially now that stolas is hurt and needs comfort, makes him emotionally unavailable and will hurt the other party more, him avoiding stolas even for stolas safety as you say will only let the glaring problems in their relationship fester and spread until they can’t be dealt with any more.
Honestly blitzo not communicating or lashing out in hopes of not getting emotionally hurt because of past trauma which in turn hurt the other party seem to be a running theme in his past and present relationships.
And from what we know as of now blitzo seem to be the main reason why his past relationships fail due to problem already mentioned( past trauma being the reason but that’s never an appropriate excuse for his actions).
Blitzo needs to face his abandonment issue brought about by trauma, realize what their doing to the few friendships and relationships he has left and get help before he loses one of the best thing that has ever happened to him.
Or a person who really just doesn’t care like a narcissistic abuser

The way stolas was so confident Blitzø would save him and how Blitzø was so sure Stolas could save himself because he was powerful just makes the "he can get hurt?" line hit even harder.
The entire time he hoped Blitzo would come and not only did he not show up when he was being tortured and almost died, he sent someone else to save him instead

@@tarynhinrichs561 Exactly. My opinion is that Blitzø was caught between his two loves in this episode, and had to take care of his daughter. Any other day I'm confident he would have rescued Stolas, albeit with a detached and nonchalant demeanor.

Like many other's I too noticed that the falling flower petals are a symbol of Stolas and Blitz's relationship slowly falling apart. But now that Blitz knows that Stolas is not invincible it makes me wonder if Blitz will do better or if he'll continue to deny himself being loved by Stolas.
Blitzo would also have to stop hating himself because this holds them back as well.
When I saw the petals, my brain immediately went to a "He loves me, he loves me not" sort of connection, but in hindsight, the symbol of their wilting relationship makes more sense

@@insectknight It started as a purely transactional sex arrangement, but Stolas is incredibly lonely, and Blitzo later accidently caught feelings for Stolas. It's not a romantic relationship yet, but they're in a state where they both want romance, not just transactional fucking, and they obviously care for each other, so they're less than dating but more than just friends, but if they don't talk about the several elephants in the room, their feelings, how they've hurt each other, how they've been hurt, what they want, etc., their relationship will die and be nothing.
Reminder that a relationship doesn't just mean romance. Any deeper connection between two or more people beyond being strangers, even with loaded feelings attached, such as friendships, family, workplace acquaintances, those are relationships too.
I don’t see why Blitzø was so confused about the concept of Stolas being hurt, when his life was actually in danger when Striker first tried killing him; with an angelic rifle stated to be capable of doing the job.
But legit, when I heard that line, the depression came pouring in and I immediately wanted to cry, they both deserve better

To Imps, the Ars Goetia must seem like these immovable titans who always existed and will ever exist. The thought one of them might actually die/be destroyed/be banished is ridiculous.
Imo, this kinda felt stupid really, specially if you consider that striker already tried to kill stolas before and blitzo & co stopped him.
He already knew stolas could get hurt or killed, SPECIALLY by stiker who had the means to.

It’s slowly turning into a “will they won’t they” type of trope. After this season, there can’t be any more emotional scenes that lead to nowhere.

@@Takejiro24 in my eyes this is the low point for them and high plot for us. Since all the scenes before that are just events where the viewer has to interpret whT these characters felt and thought. Now with the texts we can at least confirm the theories a little. And with stolas getting the Cristals the real high point will arrive, where blitz realizes smth and confront stolas. Maybe let blitz realize he deeply loves stolas or smth idk and make stolas realize his own misunderstandings and how his behavior up until this point may cause blitz who is very biased to see a wold in a certain way to missunderstand everything. And some other conflicts may occur like some end boss, like stella and paimon. Like i think there will b more episodes to establish the end goal, like with paimon suddenly do something, maybe and let the main cast to act in said scenario and while in it a boiling point will arrive where both stolas and blitz will have to confront each other and talk things through.
And hopefully it will end with the last hight point and not re start the whole plot of will they dont they again.

Dude like half of the main plot of the show is their relationship, it's a pretty obvious "shit gets worse before it gets better" type of story.

It would have been wholesome bjt not in character. Blitzos whole thing is that he isnt able to have a healthy relationship. So at the moment, it would be so out of character for him to text, visit and be all concerned and lovey dovey, cause that is clearly something he struggles with
Even after what happened at Ozzie's, Blitz did sent him a get well message but didn’t text back when Stolas said he can visit him. Sadly, Blitz probably felt guilty for not taking the kidnapping seriously and Stolas getting hurt because of it. The relationship between the pair remains in limbo, but might fall apart later on.
I’ve still got hope for them. I think there’ll be a big event similar to this episode where they’re finally able to have a real conversation about their feelings

I feel like if Stolas could've guilted Blitz I to coming if he just sent a text saying "Please, come. I need you.". I think being this direct would make Blitz feel an imminent reaction to make sure Stolas is okay instead of being paralysed with guilt for not saving him. I just image Blitz standing in the doorway taking a gut punch from the sight of Stolas and as Stolas stops Blitz from turning away, Blitz acts like Moxxie at LooLoo Land and has a bag full of random junk to try and make Stolas feel better.

A relationship’s clearly not gonna work out between them, so they might as well just be friends or acquaintances. Stolas could probably finally give Blitzø that crystal (from the book in the Circus episode) to travel to Earth.
Seeing that with Blitz and Fizz gives me hope that momentum will keep moving. That Blitz was able to communicate, be vulnerable, and find some resolve can happen with Stolas too. 💔

1. Thank you for beimg one of the few who looks at both sides of the relationship and seeing both of their mistakes, usually i see people bash Blitzo for what he's doing, forgetting how hurt he was.

I love how the writing team shows the texts between Blitzo and stolas at the end, making you really feel Stolas' emotions and desperately joping Blitzo will text back, but knowing that he wont. You can really feel his heartbreak!
That ending almost brings me to tears. I mean I hope things go well between Blitz and Stolas because I feel so awful for them.😥💕

I don't care if they get together, and really don't want them to in their current states. Stolas needs serious self love and care, and Blitz needs to open himself up to therapy, because if he refuses to even lift up a finger to work on himself and his issues, no one else can nor should.
And I know it's easy to pity Blitz, but I find his behavior inexcusable. He needs to own up to his mistakes, apologize, and try to do better.... Like Stolas already has tried, many times, and is still attempting to do.
My biggest ship is Stolas x Self love & care... and a wonderful father/daughter relationship where they _finally_ get to be a happy family together. If he remains a single dad, I think that'd be way awesome. Now if only Stella lost custody... Stella x Prison, OTP! 😅

But the fact that we saw what shenanigans Blitz did while Stolas got kidnapped amplifies the final line so much more.
We see what silly stuff Blitzo did, and while some see it as a tonal issue. IMO the contrast between Stolas' struggle and the M&M - Striker fights with the Hospital scene is crucial to highlight that it takes very little for Blitzo to brush of Stolas.
The line for me would hit a lot less without actually knowing what Blitzo did instead of helping Stolas.
Very little? He was prioritizing his daughter's health. She needs that shot every year but because he is an imp and she is a hell hound they only give him an appointment once every five years. If he missed that appointment it would have been another five years to get another one. That's 10 years without a shot that should be given yearly. That is not okay. Blitz did his job as a parent and put his child first.

He really really knew how dangerously in danger of dying Stolas was, also, Stolas told him about the blessing ropes. But in fact, he did a great job as a father, but he did forgot about Stolas whole "A assassin you know is dangerous kidnapped me and could kill me".

He didn't care or wanted to pretend he didn't cate. If M&M hadn't voluntarily offered to go and save him who knows what would have happened.
And he could have always sent M&M to get Loona to the hospital while he takes care of Striker.
Also also asking Stolas to get him a new appointment for Loona in exchange for saving his life probably wouldn't have been difficult...
All that aside.
The point I was making is that the way the subplot is animated as this Looney Toons esque scene helps increase the impact of the episode finale for me.

Even though I wasn't the biggest fan of this episode and i really thought those last like 3 minutes were perfectly executed, so much so I'm kinda mad that wasn't just the whole episode or at least most of it, I'm hoping we eventually get an episode where Blitzø and Stolas have a talk like actual adults soon and they don't drag this out until season 3 because that would get very very very exhausting

I'm happy Stolas decided to stop waiting. As long as he was going to be the one that put all the effort into trying to make their relationship work it wasn't going to do so. They both need to talk, yes, and work on themselves as well. In my opinion, Stolas needs distance, needs to recover from all the abuse he suffered from Stella, and needs to learn to value himself.
But if they do manage to make their relationship an actual relationship some day I'm scared Stella's older brother is going to use it as leverage to try and get as much out of Stolas as he can.
Blitz 100% has feelings for Stolas, but he has abandonment issues and can't admit that to himself. That scene showed he cared about him, and it shattered the high and mighty position that Stolas stood on. They are two sides of the same coin on the same boat really.

I noticed in Blitz’s trip dream that he didn’t go towards his dream, he just appeared there. Moxxie got up from his chair and went towards it. For me this really set the stage on how much Blitz wants to avoid dealing with his problems.

Blitz wouldn't be happy with Stollas.
I feel this could be a little wake up call to Stolas maybe he’ll feel his been dependent on blitzo to much for his happiness and safety. Now seeing blitz can’t always show up for him, it’ll allow him to focus more on himself and realize he still has power and authority he can use for himself, use to protect blitz when he’s in danger.
My heart is broken for Stolas :(

I Understand Blitzo taking a Choice between his Boyfriend and Daughter,Sure he could’ve as Moxxie and Millie to take care of Loona but perhaps it wasn’t that Easy,However the Ending is what makes Blitz realize that someone as Powerful as Stolas isn’t Invincible and yet His Insecurities is what’s Holding Him Back instead of Moving Forward,Blitzo doesn’t know what to do and Stolas isn’t Screaming his Heart Out on his Feelings Enough,I don’t know if there’s a way to fix this Relationship.

Stolas has been screaming his feelings out it’s just that Blitz didn’t think he was serious and that Stolas was being his usual patronizing self but I’m happy that both Stolas and Blitz would place their daughters safety and mental wellbeing first unlike other parents in hell.

As someone who feels similar to Blitz seeing someone you've barely began opening up to and want to trust hide their face when its pointed out you're together
would destroy me and make trusting them so much harder, if not impossible. So I totally understand Blitzes attempt to seem indifferent and distant. He can't bring himself to end it because he doesn't really want that but is willing to go to the old tactic of being distant and aloof in hopes that the other person will end the relationship for him.

It is still a bit weird that Blitz just forgot that Striker has access to angelic weapons that can kill a goetia, but then again like you said, he was taking Stolas’ power for granted and just assuming that he’d be relatively alright/that the M&Ms would save him. I doubt he fully realized just how long Stolas would be alone with Striker or how much damage Striker would do, despite him being an assassin.
I think he just figured Striker had just the one gun and they swiped that so the problem was over.

Reading the texts, I feel like Stolas toward Blitz is a lot like how I am with my friendships. I don't understand a lot of it and try to blow things off. I send three paragraph messages, only to get that "K" back, etc. It is so hard being that person that doesn't understand and wants things so desperately to work, only to be failing to understand a basic element of the relationship, and feeling like you're hitting a brick wall every time you try to reach out. I really would like to have Stolas move on and find someone that treats him the way that he deserves. They could come back to Stolas and Blitz after Stolas realizes how he can actually have a relationship that isn't abusive, and Blitz realizes that he actually wants to be with Stolas and is willing to open the door a tiny crack to admit it entrance.
I'm sorry for your "friends" loss, clearly they don't know how to treat a good thing when they have it, it sucks to be them I guess.
Also, I agree, the story playing out like that would be a really interesting and mature plotline; both of them taking a step back Stolas realizing he can find better and Blitzø realizing he needs to _do_ better, would be sooo interesting.

Im the same with the texting paragraphs thing. I would put a lot of thought and worry into trying to make things work but only get a tiny response if anything and it would just leave me frustrated because I don't know if I said the wrong things, if I should have said anything at all, did I upset them, if they just don't care either way, etc. Messaging more feels like it might be smothering them but if I don't am I being inattentive? It can be so confusing and anxiety inducing.

Avoidance and humor are very common for trauma survivors. Even after years of therapy, avoidance is still a huge problem for me. I don't think I'm ever going to get rid of the dark humor, but I also surround myself with people who understand it. That helps.
As much as Blitzo needs to face his demons, it's not a good idea to force someone like that into it. The followup from that would be a full shutdown and an even bigger avoidance issue. Trauma is such a tricky, nasty thing.
Honestly i think Stolas needs to be on his own for a bit. Build up his own self worth, get through the divorce, and rebuild his life before getting back into relationships. So i think its good they seem to be ending the transactional part of their relationship, and just this sad attempt at a relationship in general lol. There's just too much of a mess to untangle while together. Hopefully getting the crystal as a peace offering to Blitz will allow Blitz to see them on equal ground, even if it means only being friends. Finger crossed these two idiots will work it out, but i honestly will be happy if by the end they are just good friends.
Agree. Stolas needs time to recover from both Stella and the divorce, and Blitzo needs time to finally deal with his self-hate and emotion oppression.
Blitz is kinda like small stone that started the blow - Stolas by impulse craved for changes. It include wanting divorce, fighting for himself, the desire to love and be loved- those are decent desire, quiet healthy. But the new relationship is not ticked for automatic happiness itself. The change for better needs time, also before starting new relationship you shall one, inclyding work with toxity from orevious one.
Stolas honestly deserves so much better. Sometimes history with someone doesn’t equate to a “good relationship” or friendship. People are born with health intact others are born with diseases

I think the B polt works so well because it shows how blitz just thinks stolas will be fine. He knew M&M would be able to save him, but thinks stolas won't get hurt at all. When he realizes, it hits like a truck. The B polt was also fun to see and gave us insight into Hell's medical structure. I do miss erica voicing loona but it's very understandable why she isn't around right now due to her partner's death.
Despite the seeming insignificance of the Luna subplot, I interpret it also as Blitz choosing the care of his daughter over the rescue of his lover, which he sees as less important due to Stolas' power. The prevention of serious illness in his kid is more important at the moment, and even then he delegates the rescue to the two people he trusts the most.
Look, I love a good train wreck (I am a Batcat shipper, after all), but I still hope these two get a happy ending. Or at least as happy as you can get in Hell.
One way I think this could go- Blitzo puts his “He can get hurt” realization on the backburner for too long and then Stolas gives him the asmodian crystal(s), does the whole “you are under no obligation to see me if you don’t want to, etc. etc.” -but Blitzo thinks there’s a catch and in his search to find out what it is maybe makes Stolas think that Blitzo does actually want a real relationship (again) until Blitzo just can’t find out what the catch is and ends up blowing up at Stolas because he can’t figure it out, thus ends with the classic “I love you, but you seem so unhappy with me so I decided to let you go, goodbye Blitz.” Kinda like the Asmodias episode, but with Stolas having the ability communicate what he wants better.
Its nice to see that the M&Ms are actually paying attention to Blitz and Stolas's relationship in the background
Really looking concerned for Blitz as he comes to the realization that his "bf" got really hurt
They clearly know the two have feelings for eachother, but its strange they havent actually tried to engage Blitz about it

If you watch closely in s1ep5 when Blitzø started to make excuses in front of Striker, Millie playfully rolled her eyes and Moxxie tried really hard not to laugh. They Knew it long ago.
Can I just say your Stolitz analyzis is always a highlight of my post-episode experience.
I just want them to not ignore this story part until a convenient time. My main problem with the show is that most episodes feel disconnected from each other and I desire a coherent story.
Season one suffered from this, but it’s more prevalent in season two for sure.
Communication is SOOOOO important in any relationship and this episode just highlights that even more.
The thing that kills me is that I don't know which direction this will go. Usually the 'kidnapped love interest' trope is used to make the character realise how much they care, but with Blitz...
I dunno. Will he even visit? He apparently didn't have the nerve. But from Stolas POV it might have made him think that Blitz doesn't care about him after all. I agree he'll probably get the Crystal and try to break it off, but will Blitz just take it and pretend it's fine? Or will he fight for it?
That's the thing. Knowing Blitz, he'll just pretend he doesn't care, will get hurt but will try to hide it. And knowing Stolas, he'll drop off the Crystal and leave, assuming Blitz is better off without him. Stolas does try A LOT harder than Blitz, but in the end of the day he reaches out, he gives Blitz an excuse. Without that excuse, I don't know if Blitz will breach the gap in his own. They might just end up as exes.
The whole “he can get hurt” would have been more impactful to me if they did some establishing that even with holy weapons killing royal demons is just unheard of. Yea Blitzo thinks that Stolas is powerful enough that even angelic weapons wouldn’t level the playing field, but we kind of need a reason to know why he thinks that.
Sure it’s kryptonight/red son logic, but we need to see why angelic weapons fall into kryptonight/red son logic in this world.
When you put someone on a high enough pedestal, they can seem invincible even if you know they aren’t.
A rough comparison is how we look at our parents. My mother always seemed larger than life to me. She recently got hurt and it has been shattering, we’re all mortal until you realize *we are all mortal*. Blitzø might’ve been fully aware the angelic weapons could kill Stolas in theory, but never thought Stolas could get in a position where someone could truly overpower him and take it that far. Honestly, I can’t blame him for that assumption after seeing how Stolas handled the truth seekers.
Basically, there’s a hard mental separation between knowing something is possible and it actually happening.
@@tisvana18 Good point, but it needed to be better established in the actual show. Especially because we've seen Stolas in dangerous situations where Blitzø actually takes it seriously. The Harvest Moon festival saw Stolas inches from death and Blitzø acted as a bodyguard in Loo Loo Land where he actually did it without talking about Stolas not being in any danger.
Edit: I know Stolas wasn't actually in danger at Loo Loo Land, but Blitzø still did his job which contradicts the idea that he didn't think Stolas could get hurt.

Don't have an explanation for the harvest moon festival though, thats a really annoying plot hole that could've been so easily fixed if blitzo just wasn't aware that the person kidnapping stolas was striker.
Rewatching this video after the just look my way music video dropped. It just blew my mind that Blitz and Stolas haven't talked since Stolas was in the hospital. I know that Stolas has been working behind the scenes trying to get their relationship in a better place. But that just makes when he gives Blitz the stone going to be all that more heightened! Love it!

I was SOOOOOO hoping that after the "Come over any time" would be followed up with Blitz just walking in, worried, quiet, and alone. Hardly a word between them, just an exchange of looks.
The messages feel so real, Blitzo feels like my ex, only messaging when she had to, I hate how painful it is to read but also love how human it feels.

I love the fact that this series is able to make teens go crazy. I was talking with my younger friend about the ,,Western Energy" episode and I'm sure he would kill Blitz if he could. He was so angry at the man, not realising that they're both hurt and they both need help.
I can't wait for Millie episode but she's fully developed for me. All I can think of is an explanation episode. Perhaps how she met Moxxy ect.

Also we need more Blitz's past. Like you said in a previous episode, this man needs some explanation and context. Perphaps we'll finally learn what happended with his mom. That would be great.
something to maybe consider, ..the very real possibility, stolas has little to zero dating experience? (that's my theory) a noob, desperate and naivete, in relation to romance. who is not used to being wanted, or knowing the difference between romance and just playing. stolas has zero defense against pillow talk.
Stolas was engaged by his father to his wife Stella when he was a child and possibly married her the moment he became an adult. He couldn't really "date" anyone, since he most likely stayed in his mansion until he reached adulthood and got married.
Yes. Blitz is objectively Stolas first cruch and boyfriend. I think that season's 2 first episode made that prety clear.
it wouldnt surprise me if the culmination of their relationship is when stolas basically shows up to be like, "hey ik you hate me now and shit, and i get it, but heres the asmodeus crystal so you dont need to rely on me for the book anymore" and itll be a realization for blitz that stolas does care and respect him, and perhaps take him off guard enough to have a break in honesty that propels the talk they very much need

Removing the transactional excuse for their relationship might help to give both of them a chance to open up and be honest with one another.
the angst loving part of me is wishing sooooo bad that their relationship is just doomed. Like... the "no way to saving it" kind of doomed, not even a good, lengthy, emotionally mature talk would fix. The idea of them wanting this so bad but it being so not the right time and thus causing them to just hurt more than anything else if they keep trying to save it..... it's so enticing and I feel like this shit show truly imploding would *actually* get them to grow and get past their worse habits.
It would probably kill me, and I'm still gonna root for a happy (or as happy as they can manage) ending for them. But if we get the doomed end.... I won't complain -too much-
The delivery of that line recontextualized my whole idea of their relationship. Knowing versus understanding. I started to see a LOT more (outside of your videos, they've been 👍) why they are the way they are with each other.
The thing that bothers me is that the show made him make that conclusion on THAT episode... after the episode that shows that Striker has access to angelic weapons and Blitzo SAW this back then. So how could he realize that at the end of the most recent episode?
Eh to be fair this happens in real life too where most people don't have built in defenses to things. Sometimes people forget that rich or powerful people can still be vulnerable and able to be hurt.

Just when Striker breaks the phone and tells Blitzo he will take care of him he realizes that? This show keeps forgetting the setting again and again and has become a drama fanfiction of itself so rapidly it's no wonder why they have been losing views compared to the pilot.

The ending was heartbreaking, but honestly is not a surprise.
Stolas has been trying to actually make this relationship work, and we can see it, and is a very positive thing from him. Good development. HOWEVER, Blitz on the other hand has done NONE progression on his character to deal with his issues and traumas (yet).
So, as much as I love them, I think is for the best Stolas to REALLY step back this time, giving this relationship a "break". And then we get the arc where Blitz finally starts dealing with his sh*ts, self hatred, self sabotage etc. There is no way this ship can sail properly before this happens.
So, yeah, it breaks my heart but is a necessary pain to make this work in the long run.
I feel like this episode didn't hit the message it tried to imply with the relationship between Blitz and Stolas. In my personal opinion, I feel lime both the A plot and B plot should not have correlated with each other and instead, be seperated into two episodes. One episode focuses on the more serious perspective surrounding Stolas, and the next episode focuses on the more light hearted and comedic perspective sureounding Blitz. Then, at the end of Blitz's episode, both plots can correlate togehter as a complete set, basically playing out the exact same way that the ending of this episode had. At least, that's my subjective opinion.

That’s how I felt, I wonder if it was intended to play up more Blitzø choosing Loona over Stolas but the emotional drive was lost since Erika isn’t/wasn’t recording(?).
Helluva boss is at its best when at the center of the crazy, gore, and vulgarity is a super strong emotional or relationship-driven plot. Not driving in harder Blitz ignoring Stolas and choosing Loona, and instead having a basically 100% lighthearted B plot really took that out of play.

Yes, agreed. The a and b plot just kind of madee events rushed and at one point you're imersed into the seriousness while suddenly it changes to a fun ride with blitz in the hospital. This resets the tone the previous scene established and ruins in the end the much needed tension. It is still there, but just didn't hit as hard, since, at least with me, following everything is difficult, bc there are large gaps between scenes or characters re appearing.

This definitely feels like a fan-fiction series. The tone is inconsistent, the plot is whatever the writer feels like at the time. I love the show and it's inconsistencies and harsh tone swaps. It's still a fun ride with fun characters.
It helps to not expect anything too deep or well payed off. And then appreciate it when it does happen!
Yeah, I wasn’t expecting some masterpiece (it is vivzie’s first major show after all) and it’s an incredible achievement for an indie series. I think it’s great for the circumstances

As much as I love the delivery from Brandon Rodgers, I struggle to believe Blitz didn’t know Stolas could get hurt. He saves him from Striker in the harvest moon episode and literally says he’s disappointed the guy he wanted to hire was trying to off his easy ticket to earth. So why would he be surprised that Striker could kill/hurt Stolas?
Honestly, when you think about it, Striker should have waited to kill Stolas. If he joined I.M.P. it would have been a lot easier to get close.

There's a wide gulf between being aware of something, even intellectually knowing it to be true, and actually having it sink in.
Blitz is used to thinking of demon royalty as indestructible. There've been plenty of indications that Blitz is pretty rough on Stolas physically *and Stolas just wants more.* Stolas has previously responded to imps in his way by petrifying them with a *look.* Even if Blitz was aware of the potential for angelic weaponry to hurt or kill Stolas, he'd never have believed a fully-aware Stolas would let it get that far.
Speaking rationally, sure, it's a hell of a gamble to be taking. But if you accept the departure from our reality of Stolas being impervious to any force Blitz or most denizens of Hell could bring to bear, and assume that Blitz has internalized *that* as indisputable reality, it's really not such a surprise to *me* that Blitz never really believed Stolas was in actual danger.
One part I'll mentiom is that Striker mentions that when Stolas threatens him about hurting Octavia, Striker calls his threats empty.
I hope that Stolas realizes that He can't rely on Blitz to protect Octavia who is clearly in a certain kind of danger now considering she's now in the middle of her family's conniving.
That line would have been so much more impactful if it made sense 😭 Blitz already knows that, that's why he confronted Striker last time....

sure he knows stolas can be hurt, of course he does. but in that moment he understood that stolas can be life-threateningly hurt. stolas has always been a very powerful being in blitz's life, (for example the episode where he gets summoned) he seems indestructible to blitz. in that scene he realized he's *not*.

He assumed that since M&M got the job done Stolas was okay
So to see that not only was he not okay but could still die from the injuries inflicted by Striker was terifying
I think he was aware of that fact on a surface level. He knew there was weaponry capable of killing Stolas. He knew Striker was in possession of them in some way. But i don’t think it ever genuinely sunk in that Stolas CAN be in genuine, life threatening DANGER. That this facade Blitz crafted for Stolas that he was this untouchable, independent prince was just a _facade._ We saw the teasers, we saw the inevitable return of Striker, but he didn’t. Millie and Moxxie are two very competent fighters, and Stolas is a Goetia and a royal, I doubt it crossed his mind that Stolas could come out of that situation severely injured.

BECAUSE I got to see what's been going on between them, it was interesting
Stolitz is the perfect representation of what happens when you don't have communication in your relationship
Stolas is clearly hurt, and having been on both sides of this type of situation i don't blame him, this is written so realistically and it hurts cause i see myself in both if them in so many ways
i think blitzo is going to realize so much from all of this and how stolas was genuinely in danger yet went to him about it. i think he'll start to take stuff a bunch more seriously

I'm considering the idea that the only real reason Blitzo felt more comortable being in this relationship in the first place, is because of his idea that Stolas is "Invincible", that he's been traumatized by how he's hurt his past partners, and feels a sense of security that he couldn't possibly do that to Stolas, given who he is, but now that the illusion is shattered, he might push him away to avoid hurting him, like he does with others

May I just say incredible job on breaking down these characters and why they might make certain choices and diving into it. I've found myself genuinely impressed at your takes. You're actually adding to their character and rationalising their thoughts and their flaws rather than just regurgitating the information. And for that, I commend you.

What gets under my skin is that someone who hurt you, is aware that they hurt you begs for a reaction out of you. Like they want you to show that you're upset. Why? They want you to yell, scream at them, hurt them back. Stolas is going just that
I already paused and looked at their texts, and Stolas texts exactly how I do.

Yeah that was my theory why Blitz didn’t answer Stolas at the end because he didn’t know what to say. He found out that Stolas can be hurt to combine with the fact he actively denied earlier to help him even though he was clearly in danger. So he was experiencing shock, guilt, frustration with himself after learning that Stolas could have very well died that day and he didn’t do shit about it

Stolas needs to just end his current relationship with Blitz. He's been pretending that their transactional arrangement is a relationship for far too long for him to suddenly try to pivot in to the real thing now that he knows Blitz hasn't been on the same page the whole time. They need a clear ending and time to reflect before they can actually start over properly.
I think the biggest lynchpin right now to them having any sort of relationship right now is that business relationship.
We've already seen rumblings of Stolas wanting to remove that aspect to truly see, but the sad fact of it all is it's going to require a leap of faith on his part.
It'll either be next episode or the one after, but I almost want to say we're going to see a Verossica and Stolas episode where Stolas procures some Asmodean crystals. It'd be interesting to see those two interact, especially since there've been some hints that Verossica isn't really over Blitzo from an emotional perspective, and barring the apparently selfish sex, there was a time when he made her happy.
Once that's out of the way, and Blitz sees Stolas still reaching out, *then* we'll see what happens.

like i love this show but i am hating this bullshit buildup. not just with the stolitz but with everything. to many villains and no payoff
Short summary: Two fools with a bunch of psychological problems take turns ramming their foreheads into the wall, not noticing the open door next to them.
I think in the end the writers will bring them together, but ... Before that, they will perform a masochistic tango on a rake field for a long time.
This bird and imp cause me nothing but pain but I guess I am a glutton for punishment cause I keep coming back for more. Their story is so tragically beautiful I can't help but keep watching and hoping agains hope that these two can find a happy ending.
