The TH-cam algorithm screwed these guys over, I used to watch every video, then it stopped recommending me their vids and I fully forgot about them for a year and a half
So the spikey branch Eric grabbed is called devils club! They like to grow in boggy areas and are useful when trying to locate a spring or freshwater source. So sorry it got you! Those are weapons of the forest. Haines looks awesome, I’ll definitely check it out one day :)
Those thorny things are called Devils Club.....appropriately 😂. That tent with the chimney is an Arctic Oven brand tent. Very good winter camping tent up here. Wish you had time to visit Seward. Maybe next time. Great video guys ❤.
We loved Haines. Along that same river, we saw two junior Brown Bears. I think that’s like a teenager :) A local told me that their mom kicked them out when she gave birth to two more cubs. They were scavenging along that river. Lots of gems in Haines…..like the campground along the shore that hosts crab nights. All you can eat crab for $20 and you must bring a side dish.
My partner is British and had fish and chips in the USA earlier this year and was very disappointed in the batter. Apparently they put egg in it! But those halibut balls did look amazing.
Devil's club (the spiky plant you grabbed) is a key medicinal ingredient for salves and teas. It is very spiky though! The last time I was in Haines was for Southeast Honor Band in 1995!
Being from Haines myself, I had to cringe where I saw you stopping along the Chilkoot River where you saw all of those dead salmon carcasses. That is a well known feeding area for brown bear and the bears that feed there are best viewed from your car. Unfortunately, you unknowingly walked right into it. Glad it was in between meal times! 🐻
Fun vlog🙂🦅. LOVED the hammer museum. Dolerite⚒️ is a medium-grained intrusive igneous rock found in eg dykes and sills. It is much harder than a lot of minerals with a hardness of 6-7 on the Mohs Scale (quartz is harder). That is why it makes a good hammer-rock.. it won't chip and break so quickly. Even animals, especially moneys, use rocks as hammers. It was one of the first tooks we used in our evolution. Rocks make great peg hammers when camping!
We recently traveled to Philadelphia, MO due to a death in the family (we live in TX), and on our way back home… we saw a BALD EAGLE (Laddonia, MO)! My husband’s aunt said they were common in that area! Such a majestic sight!
I was very much hoping to see a big old bear sitting like a person eating a salmon. But bears up close are scary so hopefully you'll see some from the ferry. Who knew Haines is the cutest little town ever?
We have been looking for bears (and moose) every dang day. People act like you see them constantly up in AK, but we've barely seen any wildlife actually out in the wild. 😭 Eric and I must be much scarier in real life than we realize....
@@Theendlessadventurehaha! Go camping around Lake Tahoe in the summer and you'll see them for sure. We saw three! But less exciting when it's just a thin layer of nylon tent separating you.
Love your channel guys ( I’ve watched every episode, some twice) and love how you power through any/all obstacles and problems , your determined perseverance to bring us great content 👍 I hope your mums doing well as can be expected Eric 👍❤️❤️ You’re a beautiful couple achieving so much and making the most of life, love and best wishes from Britain ❤️❤️🇬🇧🇺🇸
Quality travel vlog as per, looks chilly tho..... boat life is amazing... 4 years in, i'm loving it... When are you guys heading across the pond for a pint and a full English Breakfast?...
That pizza place reminds me of a BBQ place I go to before they bought their own building for their restaurant. When they started up they didn't have the money for their own restaurant, so they rented half of a gas station. You could get the food from their part of the gas station, but if you wanted something to drink, you had to go and buy something from the gas station.
lol 😂, outside the Valdez Harbor was a two masted wooden sailboat so big it couldn’t enter the harbor, the next day we were way, way out there on the cusp of actually going into the Gulf of Alaska (my father would never) and there it was, full sails out. Turns out the boat was brought up the Coast from California, the owner flew in on a Lear, spent the weekend and left for somewhere else, heading back home unless they received a new course or destination.
The views of the Balwed Eagle wauw 🤩 Stunning 😍 🤞🤞🙏🙏For Clementine hope she makes it back and you can find some one to fix her 🤞🤞 .that fish sure looked so tasty 😋. Safe journey back with the Ferry 🤞🙏it all goes well. Take care 🥰
I love our mutual deep appreciation for food. Great job 👏 with the slow-mo shots (and editing!). I’m hoping that you guys have some better times with your mechanical issues once you’re in Washington (where I’m watching from!).
Excellent tour of the most underrated town in Alaska ever 😂 Fat bear week, nice! Never heard of that before. Oh man, that Meade looks soooo tasty; I need to get me some of that now! Meade o'clock indeed. By the way, this is Mood Stream- I rebranded my channel and changed it to Discover Hudson Valley. Let's continue to stay in touch. Cheers! 👍🔥💯
The halibut look so good and the pizza (we had at home last night home made pizza which Dan made was delicious) and your pizza looked it was good. Take care and be safe on the rest of your trip.
The water there is that teal green because the temp of the water is barely above 32 degrees which makes the waters full of life which amply feed the bears and eagles and other animals, as well as us humans. I live on the coast in So Cal. A more affordable place to live is often on a boat. Several families I know live on boats. In Ventura where I live we have an amazing fish and chips place in the marina made with angel shark. Probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life, and I’m a fish and chip enthusiast who grew up in the Pacific Northwest. The tents you saw with chimneys are called hot tents a with wood stove inside to heat it. The reason people are not the big fans of the eagles is that they will eat peoples pets. Here in So Cal coyotes eat our pets but usually only at night. Eagles hunt pretty much all day. But they are majestic. But difficult to live around 24/7 at times.
After a quick trip to skagway, i so badly want to go to Haines. We were so lucky to have gorgeous warm weather in mid October. I want to do more rock climbing
You should go to Archie McPhee’s and do the Underground Tour when you’re in Seattle. You’d love them both. They’re both quirky and fun and everyone already knows about the Pike Place Market and the Space Needle. Lol
Expensive fish and chips! You would think since they are local it would be the one thing not crazy expensive. That being said I’ve never seen a fish ball that looked as good and thick as what you two were enjoying. Wow!
A friend of mine lives on a boat in Texas he pays $500 a month for spot rent, power, water, sewer and cable, and trash, private boat community pool, showers, bathrooms, laundry.
Hey guys, I think you really NAILED🔨 this episode! 😂
👌
You hit the hammer on the nail with that one 😁😂
Almost a decade later and you still make the best content
"Nail on Head Award", right here.
I’m a decade behind riding along with these two?
The TH-cam algorithm screwed these guys over, I used to watch every video, then it stopped recommending me their vids and I fully forgot about them for a year and a half
Ya just need real, mr B. That's it.
👍🌻🇨🇦🇨🇦
Lived 30yrs there, watching you eat the Halibut brought tears to my eyes. I miss the seafood SO much. That and the Reindeer hotdogs.
😭😭😭

Yaaaaaas!!! Another endless adventure episode!!! Happy Friday to me!!!!
Me tooooo!!! 😅😅😅

Im always impressed by the awesome video quality y'all put into your content.
Thanks!
Thank you!! 🙌🥰
You are the best TH-camrs and are my favorite. Always so funny and adventurous. I love your channel.
Aww, thank you!! 🥰 So happy to have you adventuring with us!
The aquamarine color is the result of glacial silt.
Those halibut balls looked amazing! As a Brit, always good to see people enjoying fish and chips around the world 🙂
My partner is British and had fish and chips in the USA earlier this year and was very disappointed in the batter. Apparently they put egg in it! But those halibut balls did look amazing.
Same but our Aussie fish and chips are better, hehe
“Animal antlers“ as opposed to what other kind of antlers ? Lol. That mead was kickin in. Love love love the Alaskan series. Well done you two. ❤️
Tent is an Arctic Oven. Look them up
Devil's club (the spiky plant you grabbed) is a key medicinal ingredient for salves and teas. It is very spiky though! The last time I was in Haines was for Southeast Honor Band in 1995!
You grabbed Devils Club I think!
I think Haines is where Dr Oakley Yukon Vet lives….looks beautiful🎉. Stay warm!
That shot of the bald eagle was EPIC! I love your Alaska series. Alaska feels like a different planet!
Ive enjoyed the quality of your video's for a few years and would like to say, Thank you!!! 😊
Thank YOU for the comment and adventuring with us 🙌🏻
Haines is the outdoor center of the universe. Anything outdoors related, you have there. I live in Juneau, but love to visit Haines.
Being from Haines myself, I had to cringe where I saw you stopping along the Chilkoot River where you saw all of those dead salmon carcasses. You really nailed it at the hammer museum

4:32 oh my God! I am SO jealous!!! I love giant thick fish like that. My husband likes flat pieces and I think he’s crazy! That looks amazing!!!
In Kenai we saw bear, moose and eagles. Crazy stuff. Here in Gentry AR we have a lot of bald eagles.
The rain was 'hammering' down...
The Battered halibut looks absolutely delicious 👍🏻
13:09 reminds me of the pub on Beauty and the Beast! Love it!
Quality travel vlog as per, looks chilly tho..... boat life is amazing... 4 years in, i'm loving it... When are you guys heading across the pond for a pint and a full English Breakfast?...
If I've learned nothing else from your videos, don't renovate an old RV for major travel plans!!!! Ha!

I saw a bald eagle and bears (and orca) in Canada. Bucket list checked, it was awesome.
I’d like, to combine Eagle and Hammer and say this video really clawed it’s way to the top. Beautiful footage!

If you liked the hammer museum you should check out the Nutcracker Museum in Leavenworth, WA.
Great video .. we were in Haines about a year ago for a Scout High Adventure. Bamboo and AlpenGlow Pizza were great .... best fish and chips ever.
Thank you for sharing the Hammer Museum. The country is amazing
the Bunratty Meade from Ireland is really great, especially when served warm
I'm always excited when you post a new video!!! You two are always entertaining!! And I love your zany music!!
I just moved to Anchorage! Thank you, always, for your suggestions.
Loved Haines when we went last summer. The distillery was surprisingly great and the spruce tip beer at the brewery was fantastic.
We missed the brewery this time....we'll have to go back, cuz spruce tip beer sounds amazing!
The Bamboo Room - been there many times!!
The hammer 🔨 museum is very nice 👌 ❤.
OMG that fish and fries dinner looked amazing.
It may be time to upgrade the RV! Hope she makes it home!
No way! It's an oldie and a goody
Not after all that work they've done
That hammer museum, actually looks like a fun time
Oh, dang, that fish & chips looked GUUUD!!!
Seeing that bottle of Malt Vinegar made me sooo happy. Most seafood restaurants only have wine vinegar. NOT THE SAME!!! 😍
What? No seafood restaurant in the civilised world has wine vinegar. Malt vinegar ideally or Grimshaw's Non-brewed condiment as a substitute.
All vinegars give me acid indigestion
@@jonathanfinan722 We Americans like to eat or seafood with a little squirt of fresh lemon and some cocktail or tartar sauce.

totally awesome scenery loved the bald eagles did you see any big fat bears. Hammer time was very cool, mead and pizza great way to finish a day.
The barbed plant is called Devil’s Club, aptly named. Devil’s Club would be cool name for an Alaskan bar.
Good to know. And it's 100% perfect for an AK bar...we'd definitely visit the Devil's Club 😆
Another great video.
Side note - only 6 freaking’s 😁
This was awesome!! I totally want to take a trip there! Thanks y'all ❤️
Woop woop.. What a way to start my weekend.. The Endless Adventure!!!!! ❤❤
You hit the nail on the head
I’m so happy cause you guys are Happy!!! 😊😊
You should go to Archie McPhee’s and do the Underground Tour when you’re in Seattle. You’d love them both. They’re both quirky and fun and everyone already knows about the Pike Place Market and the Space Needle. Lol
Wonderful armchair viewing from Sydney Australia thank you for another fantastic video 😊😊
Stunning shots of those birds ..on the waters ..!! Beautiful ❤❤❤
Expensive fish and chips! You would think since they are local it would be the one thing not crazy expensive. That being said I’ve never seen a fish ball that looked as good and thick as what you two were enjoying. Wow!
Love rain and cooler/cold weather :-)
You'd definitely love Alaska, then!

A friend of mine lives on a boat in Texas he pays $500 a month for spot rent, power, water, sewer and cable, and trash, private boat community pool, showers, bathrooms, laundry.
Oh
Bobbie from Sailing Doodles ?
What? To live on a boat? I sincerely hope he gets strippers and narcotics thrown in too.
Those Halibut fritters we epic!
Right? There were SO GOOD!
Only you guys would find such a cool quirky museum! Loved the jokes. Safe travels with Clementine. ~Cara 😊
That museum was a real hit 🔨🤣 But seriously, thank you!
Pizza "chairs", I think the mead went to Allison's head a bit. 😆.
Food looked great huge fish pieces, glad you guys spent time in Alaska wanted to see more of it,
Only you guys could make a hammer museum look like fun! Great videos, we're heading to Alaska next year, so excited!
My family owns and started Allen tours. Back in the 50’s. Try a Alllen tour out of Haines. Won’t regret
Wow. 600k subscribers. Congratulations
Thank you for this! My In laws lived in Haines. The Bamboo room.❤
Oh cool! We really loved our time there. And when the sun comes out, the views are crazy 😍
You forgot the most obvious!
NAILED IT!
We took a cruise that stopped in Haines this summer. I loved the Hammer museum. Did you make it down to the brewery? Happy Travels!
Yum I love mead and cider
You guys “nailed it on the head” with the hammer tour.
Halibut is my favorite! I am so jealous!
That pizza looks amazing!

The only Movie that involves this Place is a Brief Mention in El Camino a Breaking Bad Movie.

I'd say you 'Nailed' this one.
